Ne može u bocu od litre uliti dvije litre. Ta uzrečica najbolje pristaje problemu koji Dubrovnik ima s prometom. Spisak razloga svakodnevnih prometnih čepova, prije svega oko gradskih zidina, poduži je, a dio njih datira još iz prošlog stoljeća. Ipak glavni razlog je prostorni. Sam Dubrovnik kao administrativno i poslovno sjedište krajnjeg juga je prostorno mali grad, sa uskim jednosmjernim prometnicama i malim prostorom za parking u kojem živi 35.000 ljudi. Svaki dan u njega poslovno migrira još nekoliko tisuća žitelja iz rubnih dijelova administrativnog područja Grada i susjednih općina.

Prometne gužve Dubrovnik

Većina nas na posao dolazi i odlazi sa svojim automobilima. I to je definitivno glavni razlog prometnih gužvi. Jer tijekom praznika i vikendima, posebice izvan glavne turističke sezone, dubrovačke prometnice su doslovce puste. A taj glavni problem se, realno, teško može riješiti. Javni gradski prijevoz, a posebice onaj prigradski, još uvijek je daleko od potreba onih koji rade u gradu pa im, bez obzira na veće putne troškove, ne preostaje drugo nego da koriste svoj automobil. Istina, ima tu i našeg komoda pa nam recimo presjedanje ne pada na pamet. Svi mi najviše volimo biti ‘paket‘, od vrata do vrata. Ne volimo se za razliku od recimo Amerikanaca, voziti na posao i s posla zajedno sa familjom, a kamoli sa susjedima. Svatko u svome. Jer je to ipak komotnije.

A kada se ljeti na to svaki dan nadoda barem pedesetak tisuća turista, barem tisuću rent-a carova koje voze ljudi koji se ne snalaze u tako uskom dubrovačkom prostoru, nekoliko tisuća ‘liberaliziranih‘ taksija, nekoliko stotina turističkih autobusa, onda nastaje drama. Još su najmanji problem naši živci, izgubljeno vrijeme i troškovi. Za svakog takvog kolapsa riskiramo živote. Jer kroz grad u tom trenutku ne može proći ni hitna, ni vatrogasci, ni policija, a Bogami ni Prometni redari. Teško se i malim skuterom provući kroz takvu gužvu.

Prometne gužve Dubrovnik

Je li problem u gradskom Prometnom redarstvu? Donekle. Grad je prije nekoliko godina od policije preuzeo promet, no očito se nije shvatilo da gradski promet nije samo naplaćivanje kazni za krivo parkiranje. Organizacija prometa u gradu poput Dubrovnika je izuzetno kompleksan posao. To nije jedan stari Renault clio, dva skutera i lijepe uniforme za zaposlene kojih je, treba to reći, za naše potrebe premalo. To nije reguliranje prolaska pješaka na Pilama! Ljudi se doista trude, rade najbolje što znaju, ali jednostavno to je izvan njihove moći. Što preostaje?

Više prometnih redara koji će raditi kao policija, koji će skuterima u trenutku stići na mjesto na kojem je gužva. I najvažnije, parkirališta izvan grada. Kao u Veneciji. Nitko se tamo zbog toga ne buni. Ni turisti, ni domaći. I još kad bi shvatili kako bi pješački pothodnici pravili manju štetu kulturnoj baštini nego kaos na Pilama. Gdje bi nam bio kraj!

A dok ne dobijemo ta parkirališta, te nove prometne redare, dok još jednom dobro ne promislimo o pothodnicima ostaje nam samo da potrubimo za Đera koji je neki dan na Pilama zamijenio institucije države i grada.

Ne može u bocu od litre uliti dvije litre. Ta uzrečica najbolje pristaje problemu koji Dubrovnik ima s prometom. Spisak razloga svakodnevnih prometnih čepova, prije svega oko gradskih zidina, poduži je, a dio njih datira još iz prošlog stoljeća. Ipak glavni razlog je prostorni. Sam Dubrovnik kao administrativno i poslovno sjedište krajnjeg juga je prostorno mali grad, sa uskim jednosmjernim prometnicama i malim prostorom za parking u kojem živi 35.000 ljudi. Svaki dan u njega poslovno migrira još nekoliko tisuća žitelja iz rubnih dijelova administrativnog područja Grada i susjednih općina.

Većina nas na posao dolazi i odlazi sa svojim automobilima. I to je definitivno glavni razlog prometnih gužvi. Jer tijekom praznika i vikendima, posebice izvan glavne turističke sezone, dubrovačke prometnice su doslovce puste. A taj glavni problem se, realno, teško može riješiti. Javni gradski prijevoz, a posebice onaj prigradski, još uvijek je daleko od potreba onih koji rade u gradu pa im, bez obzira na veće putne troškove, ne preostaje drugo nego da koriste svoj automobil. Istina, ima tu i našeg komoda pa nam recimo presjedanje ne pada na pamet. Svi mi najviše volimo biti ‘paket‘, od vrata do vrata. Ne volimo se za razliku od recimo Amerikanaca, voziti na posao i s posla zajedno sa familjom, a kamoli sa susjedima. Svatko u svome. Jer je to ipak komotnije.

A kada se ljeti na to svaki dan nadoda barem pedesetak tisuća turista, barem tisuću rent-a carova koje voze ljudi koji se ne snalaze u tako uskom dubrovačkom prostoru, nekoliko tisuća ‘liberaliziranih‘ taksija, nekoliko stotina turističkih autobusa, onda nastaje drama. Još su najmanji problem naši živci, izgubljeno vrijeme i troškovi. Za svakog takvog kolapsa riskiramo živote. Jer kroz grad u tom trenutku ne može proći ni hitna, ni vatrogasci, ni policija, a Bogami ni Prometni redari. Teško se i malim skuterom provući kroz takvu gužvu.

Je li problem u gradskom Prometnom redarstvu? Donekle. Grad je prije nekoliko godina od policije preuzeo promet, no očito se nije shvatilo da gradski promet nije samo naplaćivanje kazni za krivo parkiranje. Organizacija prometa u gradu poput Dubrovnika je izuzetno kompleksan posao. To nije jedan stari Renault clio, dva skutera i lijepe uniforme za zaposlene kojih je, treba to reći, za naše potrebe premalo. To nije reguliranje prolaska pješaka na Pilama! Ljudi se doista trude, rade najbolje što znaju, ali jednostavno to je izvan njihove moći. Što preostaje?

Više prometnih redara koji će raditi kao policija, koji će skuterima u trenutku stići na mjesto na kojem je gužva. I najvažnije, parkirališta izvan grada. Kao u Veneciji. Nitko se tamo zbog toga ne buni. Ni turisti, ni domaći. I još kad bi shvatili kako bi pješački pothodnici pravili manju štetu kulturnoj baštini nego kaos na Pilama. Gdje bi nam bio kraj!

A dok ne dobijemo ta parkirališta, te nove prometne redare, dok još jednom dobro ne promislimo o pothodnicima ostaje nam samo da potrubimo za Đera koji je neki dan na Pilama zamijenio institucije države i grada.
