Hrvatska ima svoje Mrtvo more. Ne, ne šalimo se. Riječ je o geološkom fenomenu smještenom na samom istoku otoka Lokruma koje je postalo omiljeno kupalište lokalaca i turista. Ugodno sunčanje na suncu dok jednim okom pratite svojeg mališana zvuči kao idealan odmor za sve roditelje pa ne čudi da se za posjet Lokrumu često odlučuju i neki slabiji plivači.

Na samo deset minuta vožnje brodom od Dubrovnika, lokrumsko Mrtvo more poznato je kupalište nastalo u nekadašnjem erozijskom udubljenju u reljefu. Kako su godine prolazile, stijene su postale izrazito tektonski poremećene i stvorilo se erozijsko udubljenje koje se ispunilo morem. Laički rečeno, stvorilo se ugodno slano jezero idealno za kupanje, piše Slobodna Dalmacija.

Na uživanje u njemu često se odlučuju i svi oni koji ljetuju s malom djecom jer je jako plitko što roditeljima pruža sigurnost. Plaža je šljunčana i pogodna da odmaranje na suncu.

Inače, prema legendi Lokrum su  prokleli benediktinci, njegovi  prvi vlasnici nakon što ih je vlast Dubrovačke Republike protjerala sa otoka. Priča kaže kako su cijelu noć s upaljenim svijećama okrenutim naopako u barkama  kružili oko njega i govorili: “Neka je proklet svaki koji pribavi Lokrum za osobno uživanje!”. Njihovo prokletstvo, kaže legeneda, može se poništiti samo ako se skupi vosak koji je te noći iskapao.

Hrvatska ima svoje Mrtvo more. Ne, ne šalimo se. Riječ je o geološkom fenomenu smještenom na samom istoku otoka Lokruma koje je postalo omiljeno kupalište lokalaca i turista. Ugodno sunčanje na suncu dok jednim okom pratite svojeg mališana zvuči kao idealan odmor za sve roditelje pa ne čudi da se za posjet Lokrumu često odlučuju i neki slabiji plivači.

Na samo deset minuta vožnje brodom od Dubrovnika, lokrumsko Mrtvo more poznato je kupalište nastalo u nekadašnjem erozijskom udubljenju u reljefu. Kako su godine prolazile, stijene su postale izrazito tektonski poremećene i stvorilo se erozijsko udubljenje koje se ispunilo morem. Laički rečeno, stvorilo se ugodno slano jezero idealno za kupanje, piše Slobodna Dalmacija.

Na uživanje u njemu često se odlučuju i svi oni koji ljetuju s malom djecom jer je jako plitko što roditeljima pruža sigurnost. Plaža je šljunčana i pogodna da odmaranje na suncu.

Inače, prema legendi Lokrum su  prokleli benediktinci, njegovi  prvi vlasnici nakon što ih je vlast Dubrovačke Republike protjerala sa otoka. Priča kaže kako su cijelu noć s upaljenim svijećama okrenutim naopako u barkama  kružili oko njega i govorili: “Neka je proklet svaki koji pribavi Lokrum za osobno uživanje!”. Njihovo prokletstvo, kaže legeneda, može se poništiti samo ako se skupi vosak koji je te noći iskapao.
