Među djecom vlada nova epidemija, tvrde stručnjaci, a klinci se već u dobi od šest godina suočavaju s očnim bolestima koje su dosad bile karakteristične za osobe u starijoj životnoj dobi. Ovdje je riječ o bolesti suhog oka, koja se javlja kod djece koja previše vremena provode zureći u ekrane, od televizije, preko pametnih telefona do tableta, piše Jutarnji list.

Posljedice bolesti suhog oka javljaju se kada suze ne mogu osigurati odgovarajuće podmazivanje očiju.

Bolest obično pogađa osobe u starosti od 50 do 60 godina, a ako se ne liječi, može biti izuzetno bolna sa simptomima kao što su umorne, crvene i osjetljive oči. Oboljeli su uspoređivali osjećaj s onime kada sjeckaju luk, odnosno, sa stalnim osjećajem žarenja.

Sarah Farrant, optometristkinja odnosno inženjerka očne optike i specijalistica za suho oko, kaže da se sve više susreće s djecom osnovnoškolske dobi, koja s takvim stanjem dolaze u njezinu ordinaciju Earlam and Christopher u Somersetu. Za to djelomično krivi povećanje vremena koje se provodi ispred ekrana, jer gledanje u ekran dramatično smanjuje stopu treptanja.

-Kada sam otvorila svoju kliniku prije 15 godina nije bilo niti jednog djeteta koje se pojavilo s takvim stanjem. Međutim u posljednjih pet ili šest godina sve više djece viđam s bolešću suhog oka. Moj najmlađi pacijent imao je šest godina, što je nekada bilo nezamislivo.- objašnjava Sarah Farrant, a prenosi Daily Mail.

Prevalencija mlađe djece koja koristi šminku bi također mogla potaknuti porast problema s očima, dodaje. Ako se ne liječi, stanje može uzrokovati nepovratno oštećenje nekih žlijezda u kapcima koje proizvode suze.

Među djecom vlada nova epidemija, tvrde stručnjaci, a klinci se već u dobi od šest godina suočavaju s očnim bolestima koje su dosad bile karakteristične za osobe u starijoj životnoj dobi. Ovdje je riječ o bolesti suhog oka, koja se javlja kod djece koja previše vremena provode zureći u ekrane, od televizije, preko pametnih telefona do tableta, piše Jutarnji list.

Posljedice bolesti suhog oka javljaju se kada suze ne mogu osigurati odgovarajuće podmazivanje očiju.

Bolest obično pogađa osobe u starosti od 50 do 60 godina, a ako se ne liječi, može biti izuzetno bolna sa simptomima kao što su umorne, crvene i osjetljive oči. Oboljeli su uspoređivali osjećaj s onime kada sjeckaju luk, odnosno, sa stalnim osjećajem žarenja.

Za to djelomično krivi povećanje vremena koje se provodi ispred ekrana, jer gledanje u ekran dramatično smanjuje stopu treptanja.

-Kada sam otvorila svoju kliniku prije 15 godina nije bilo niti jednog djeteta koje se pojavilo s takvim stanjem. Međutim u posljednjih pet ili šest godina sve više djece viđam s bolešću suhog oka. Među djecom vlada nova epidemija, tvrde stručnjaci, a klinci se već u dobi od šest godina suočavaju s očnim bolestima koje su dosad bile karakteristične za osobe u starijoj životnoj dobi. Ovdje je riječ o bolesti suhog oka, koja se javlja kod djece koja previše vremena provode zureći u ekrane, od televizije, preko pametnih telefona do tableta, piše Jutarnji list.

Posljedice bolesti suhog oka javljaju se kada suze ne mogu osigurati odgovarajuće podmazivanje očiju.

Bolest obično pogađa osobe u starosti od 50 do 60 godina, a ako se ne liječi, može biti izuzetno bolna sa simptomima kao što su umorne, crvene i osjetljive oči. Oboljeli su uspoređivali osjećaj s onime kada sjeckaju luk, odnosno, sa stalnim osjećajem žarenja.
