- Bolaji Fatai (21) nikada nije kročio nogom u zrakoplov, no to ga nije spriječilo u nakani da od otpada napravi vlastiti model letjelice na daljinsko upravljanje i vine ga u nebo nad kaotičnim nigerijskim komercijalnim središtem Lagosom.

Unatoč oblačnome i vjetrovitom danu avion s jednim propelerom uspio je izdržati bočne udare vjetra visoko nad pješčanim nogometnim igralištem, nakon čega se nisko obrušio iznad glava promatrača u Oworonshokiju, siromašnoj četvrti na istoku grada u kojemu Fatai živi.

Propeler i daljinski upravljač kupio je u trgovini, ali je trup, krila, rep i ventralnu peraju konstruirao od komada recikliranog stiropora s odlagališta otpada te ih je pričvrstio ljepljivom trakom. Raspon krila njegova aviona je oko jedan metar.

"Ovim sam se hobijem počeo baviti kad sam imao sedam godina. Prikupljao sam neke predmete i radio na manjim projektima. I uvijek osjećam ushit kada ugledam zrakoplov kako leti", rekao je Reutersu ovaj 21-godišnjak.

Fataijev hobi uskoro bi se mogao pretvoriti u nešto više i ostvariti njegove dječačke snove.

Naime, tehnološka tvrtka ponudila mu je stažiranje, što je važan prvi korak prema ostvarenju njegove želje da postane zrakoplovni inženjer.

"S obzirom na to da naša zemlja spada u one nerazvijene, nadam se da ću postati dio tima koji će raditi na njezinu razvoju tako što će iskoristiti moju tehnologiju dronova", kazao je s neskrivenim ponosom.

- Bolaji Fatai (21) nikada nije kročio nogom u zrakoplov, no to ga nije spriječilo u nakani da od otpada napravi vlastiti model letjelice na daljinsko upravljanje i vine ga u nebo nad kaotičnim nigerijskim komercijalnim središtem Lagosom.

Unatoč oblačnome i vjetrovitom danu avion s jednim propelerom uspio je izdržati bočne udare vjetra visoko nad pješčanim nogometnim igralištem, nakon čega se nisko obrušio iznad glava promatrača u Oworonshokiju, siromašnoj četvrti na istoku grada u kojemu Fatai živi.

Propeler i daljinski upravljač kupio je u trgovini, ali je trup, krila, rep i ventralnu peraju konstruirao od komada recikliranog stiropora s odlagališta otpada te ih je pričvrstio ljepljivom trakom. Raspon krila njegova aviona je oko jedan metar.

"Ovim sam se hobijem počeo baviti kad sam imao sedam godina. Prikupljao sam neke predmete i radio na manjim projektima. I uvijek osjećam ushit kada ugledam zrakoplov kako leti", rekao je Reutersu ovaj 21-godišnjak.

Fataijev hobi uskoro bi se mogao pretvoriti u nešto više i ostvariti njegove dječačke snove.

Naime, tehnološka tvrtka ponudila mu je stažiranje, što je važan prvi korak prema ostvarenju njegove želje da postane zrakoplovni inženjer.

"S obzirom na to da naša zemlja spada u one nerazvijene, nadam se da ću postati dio tima koji će raditi na njezinu razvoju tako što će iskoristiti moju tehnologiju dronova", kazao je s neskrivenim ponosom.

- Bolaji Fatai (21) nikada nije kročio nogom u zrakoplov, no to ga nije spriječilo u nakani da od otpada napravi vlastiti model letjelice na daljinsko upravljanje i vine ga u nebo nad kaotičnim nigerijskim komercijalnim središtem Lagosom.

Unatoč oblačnome i vjetrovitom danu avion s jednim propelerom uspio je izdržati bočne udare vjetra visoko nad pješčanim nogometnim igralištem, nakon čega se nisko obrušio iznad glava promatrača u Oworonshokiju, siromašnoj četvrti na istoku grada u kojemu Fatai živi.

Propeler i daljinski upravljač kupio je u trgovini, ali je trup, krila, rep i ventralnu peraju konstruirao od komada recikliranog stiropora s odlagališta otpada te ih je pričvrstio ljepljivom trakom. Raspon krila njegova aviona je oko jedan metar.

"Ovim sam se hobijem počeo baviti kad sam imao sedam godina. Prikupljao sam neke predmete i radio na manjim projektima. I uvijek osjećam ushit kada ugledam zrakoplov kako leti", rekao je Reutersu ovaj 21-godišnjak.

Fataijev hobi uskoro bi se mogao pretvoriti u nešto više i ostvariti njegove dječačke snove.

Naime, tehnološka tvrtka ponudila mu je stažiranje, što je važan prvi korak prema ostvarenju njegove želje da postane zrakoplovni inženjer.

"S obzirom na to da naša zemlja spada u one nerazvijene, nadam se da ću postati dio tima koji će raditi na njezinu razvoju tako što će iskoristiti moju tehnologiju dronova", kazao je s neskrivenim ponosom.
