Izrael je pripremio planove za poplavu Hamasovog sistema tunela ispod Pojasa Gaze vodom crpljenom iz Sredozemnog mora, prenosi Wall Street Journal.

Citirajući američke dužnosnike, američki izvor kaže da su Izraelske obrambene snage (IDF) prošlog mjeseca postavile pet velikih pumpi za vodu u blizini izbjegličkog kampa al-Shati u gradu Gazi, koje su sposobne poplaviti podzemnu mrežu u roku od nekoliko tjedana pumpajući tisuće kubičnih metara vode na sat u tunele.

Dužnosnici kažu da je Izrael upozorio SAD na plan prošlog mjeseca, ali još nije odlučio hoće li ga provesti.

Mišljenja Bidenove administracije o tom naumu bila su podijeljena, pri čemu su neki dužnosnici izrazili zabrinutost zbog izraelskog plana, dok drugi podupiru napore Izraela da uništi tunele kao stalnu prijetnju iz podzemlja.

Među zabrinutostima navedenim u izvještaju bila je potencijalna šteta za vodooprskbu Gaze i tlo, ako morska voda i opasne tvari iz tunela prodru u njih.

"Nismo sigurni koliko će eventualno ispumpavanje biti uspješno jer nitko ne zna detalje o tunelima i tlu oko njih", citira se osoba upoznata s planom.

Izrael je pripremio planove za poplavu Hamasovog sistema tunela ispod Pojasa Gaze vodom crpljenom iz Sredozemnog mora, prenosi Wall Street Journal.

Citirajući američke dužnosnike, američki izvor kaže da su Izraelske obrambene snage (IDF) prošlog mjeseca postavile pet velikih pumpi za vodu u blizini izbjegličkog kampa al-Shati u gradu Gazi, koje su sposobne poplaviti podzemnu mrežu u roku od nekoliko tjedana pumpajući tisuće kubičnih metara vode na sat u tunele.

Dužnosnici kažu da je Izrael upozorio SAD na plan prošlog mjeseca, ali još nije odlučio hoće li ga provesti.

Mišljenja Bidenove administracije o tom naumu bila su podijeljena, pri čemu su neki dužnosnici izrazili zabrinutost zbog izraelskog plana, dok drugi podupiru napore Izraela da uništi tunele kao stalnu prijetnju iz podzemlja.

Izraelski plan za uništenje Hamasove mreže podzemnih tunela: Poplavit će ih morskom vodom, a to znači još jednu opasnost

Izrael je pripremio planove za poplavu Hamasovog sistema tunela ispod Pojasa Gaze vodom crpljenom iz Sredozemnog mora, prenosi Wall Street Journal.

Citirajući američke dužnosnike, američki izvor kaže da su Izraelske obrambene snage (IDF) prošlog mjeseca postavile pet velikih pumpi za vodu u blizini izbjegličkog kampa al-Shati u gradu Gazi, koje su sposobne poplaviti podzemnu mrežu u roku od nekoliko tjedana pumpajući tisuće kubičnih metara vode na sat u tunele.

Dužnosnici kažu da je Izrael upozorio SAD na plan prošlog mjeseca, ali još nije odlučio hoće li ga provesti.

Mišljenja Bidenove administracije o tom naumu bila su podijeljena, pri čemu su neki dužnosnici izrazili zabrinutost zbog izraelskog plana, dok drugi podupiru napore Izraela da uništi tunele kao stalnu prijetnju iz podzemlja.

Među zabrinutostima navedenim u izvještaju bila je potencijalna šteta za vodooprskbu Gaze i tlo, ako morska voda i opasne tvari iz tunela prodru u njih.

"Nismo sigurni koliko će eventualno ispumpavanje biti uspješno jer nitko ne zna detalje o tunelima i tlu oko njih", citira se osoba upoznata s planom.
