Izraelski veleposlanik u Ujedinjenim narodima stavio je u ponedjeljak u Vijeću sigurnosti UN-a žutu zvijezdu na sako, poručivši da će je nositi dok Vijeće sigurnosti ne osudi Hamasove zločine, a palestinski predstavnik poručio je da je Gaza sada "pakao na Zemlji" pozivajući na spašavanje stanovnika.

Gilad Erdan i njegovo osoblje zakačili su žute Davidove zvijezde s natpisom "Nikada više" na rever dok su prisustvovali sastanku najmoćnijeg tijela UN-a.

Takve su zvijezde bili prisiljeni nositi Židovi tijekom nacističke diktature.

"Baš kao i moji djedovi i bake i djedovi milijuna Židova, od sada ćemo moj tim i ja nositi žute zvijezde. Nosit ćemo zvijezde dok ne osudite zločine Hamasa. I zahtijevat ćemo hitno oslobađanje naših talaca", kazao je Erdan.

"Neki od vas nisu naučili ništa u proteklih 80 godina. Neki od vas su zaboravili zašto je ovo tijelo osnovano", rekao je Erdan osuđujući Vijeće sigurnosti što šuti o smrtonosnim napadima palestinskih militanata Hamasa na Izrael 7. listopada.

Duboko podijeljeno vijeće od 15 članova nije usvojilo niti jednu rezoluciju o trotjednom ratu između Izraela i Hamasa.

Neke rezolucije blokirale su Sjedinjene Američke Države, bliski saveznik Izraela, jer se u njima ne spominje pravo Izraela na obranu.

Rezoluciju koju je podnio SAD posebno su osudile Rusija i Kina jer ne poziva jasno na primirje.

"Dakle, podsjetit ću vas. Od ovog dana svaki put kada me pogledate sjetit ćete se što znači šutjeti pred zlom", rekao je veleposlanik.

Erdan je u svom govoru usporedio izraelsku kopnenu ofenzivu u Pojasu Gaze sa savezničkim iskrcavanjem u Normandiji 1944.

Ismijao je Vijeće sigurnosti UN-a, poručivši da bi se 6. lipnja 1944. (Dan D), da je tada postojalo to tijelo, vjerojatno također vodila žestoka rasprava o tome koliko električne energije i goriva građani Muenchena još imaju.

Naglasio je da je usporedba broja poginulih na obje strane nakon razornog masakra koji je 7. listopada u Izraelu počinio islamistički Hamas jednako nedopustiva kao i usporedba njemačkih i britanskih žrtava u Drugom svjetskom ratu.

Usporedio je zahtjev za prekidom vatre na Bliskom istoku sa zahtjevom za prekidom vatre pred rusko zauzimanje Staljingrada 1943.

Tijekom sastanka Vijeća sigurnosti u ponedjeljak, nekoliko je govornika, osuđujući napade Hamasa, istaknulo cijenu koju su platili stanovnici Gaze, gdje zdravstveni dužnosnici kažu da je više od 8300 ljudi poginulo u izraelskim napadima.

Philippe Lazzarini, čelnik UN-ove agencije za palestinske izbjeglice (UNRWA), rekao je da je opsada Gaze jednaka kolektivnom kažnjavanju njezinih stanovnika.

Palestinski predstavnik u Ujedinjenim narodima opisao je patnje stanovništva u Pojasu Gaze kao "pakao na zemlji".

Govoreći na izvanrednom sastanku Vijeća sigurnosti UN-a u New Yorku, Rijad Mansur citirao je bivšeg glavnog tajnika UN-a Daga Hammarskjölda, koji je 1954. rekao: "Ujedinjeni narodi nisu stvoreni da nas dovedu u raj, već da nas spase od pakla."

"Gaza je sada pakao na Zemlji", dodao je Mansur.

Diplomat je rekao da je do danas ubijeno više od 8.000 Palestinaca, uključujući preko 3.000 na jugu Gaze, gdje je Izrael "prisilno prebacio stotine tisuća ljudi".

"Gotovo svi naši ljudi u Gazi su beskućnici, raseljeni, sele se iz jedne obiteljske kuće u drugu", rekao je.

"Spavaju u svojim automobilima, spavaju na ulicama, a i dalje ih ubijaju gdje god stignu kako bi ih uvjerili da neće biti sigurno nigdje u Gazi", dodao je.

"Spašavanje čovječanstva od pakla danas za Ujedinjene narode znači spašavanje Palestinaca u Gazi", zaključio je.

Mansour je pred najmoćnijim tijelom UN-a zagovarao dostojanstven odnos prema palestinskom narodu i spašavanje Palestinaca u Gazi.

"Spasite ih. Gledajte na njih kao na ljudska bića", kazao je.

Izraelski veleposlanik u Ujedinjenim narodima stavio je u ponedjeljak u Vijeću sigurnosti UN-a žutu zvijezdu na sako, poručivši da će je nositi dok Vijeće sigurnosti ne osudi Hamasove zločine, a palestinski predstavnik poručio je da je Gaza sada "pakao na Zemlji" pozivajući na spašavanje stanovnika.

Gilad Erdan i njegovo osoblje zakačili su žute Davidove zvijezde s natpisom "Nikada više" na rever dok su prisustvovali sastanku najmoćnijeg tijela UN-a.

Takve su zvijezde bili prisiljeni nositi Židovi tijekom nacističke diktature.

"Baš kao i moji djedovi i bake i djedovi milijuna Židova, od sada ćemo moj tim i ja nositi žute zvijezde. Nosit ćemo zvijezde dok ne osudite zločine Hamasa. I zahtijevat ćemo hitno oslobađanje naših talaca", kazao je Erdan.

"Neki od vas nisu naučili ništa u proteklih 80 godina. Neki od vas su zaboravili zašto je ovo tijelo osnovano", rekao je Erdan osuđujući Vijeće sigurnosti što šuti o smrtonosnim napadima palestinskih militanata Hamasa na Izrael 7. listopada.

Duboko podijeljeno vijeće od 15 članova nije usvojilo niti jednu rezoluciju o trotjednom ratu između Izraela i Hamasa.

Neke rezolucije blokirale su Sjedinjene Američke Države, bliski saveznik Izraela, jer se u njima ne spominje pravo Izraela na obranu.

Rezoluciju koju je podnio SAD posebno su osudile Rusija i Kina jer ne poziva jasno na primirje.

"Dakle, podsjetit ću vas. Od ovog dana svaki put kada me pogledate sjetit ćete se što znači šutjeti pred zlom", rekao je veleposlanik.

Erdan je u svom govoru usporedio izraelsku kopnenu ofenzivu u Pojasu Gaze sa savezničkim iskrcavanjem u Normandiji 1944.

Ismijao je Vijeće sigurnosti UN-a, poručivši da bi se 6. lipnja 1944. (Dan D), da je tada postojalo to tijelo, vjerojatno također vodila žestoka rasprava o tome koliko električne energije i goriva građani Muenchena još imaju.

Naglasio je da je usporedba broja poginulih na obje strane nakon razornog masakra koji je 7. listopada u Izraelu počinio islamistički Hamas jednako nedopustiva kao i usporedba njemačkih i britanskih žrtava u Drugom svjetskom ratu.

Usporedio je zahtjev za prekidom vatre na Bliskom istoku sa zahtjevom za prekidom vatre pred rusko zauzimanje Staljingrada 1943.

Tijekom sastanka Vijeća sigurnosti u ponedjeljak, nekoliko je govornika, osuđujući napade Hamasa, istaknulo cijenu koju su platili stanovnici Gaze, gdje zdravstveni dužnosnici kažu da je više od 8300 ljudi poginulo u izraelskim napadima.

Philippe Lazzarini, čelnik UN-ove agencije za palestinske izbjeglice (UNRWA), rekao je da je opsada Gaze jednaka kolektivnom kažnjavanju njezinih stanovnika.

Palestinski predstavnik u Ujedinjenim narodima opisao je patnje stanovništva u Pojasu Gaze kao "pakao na zemlji".

Govoreći na izvanrednom sastanku Vijeća sigurnosti UN-a u New Yorku, Rijad Mansur citirao je bivšeg glavnog tajnika UN-a Daga Hammarskjölda, koji je 1954. rekao: "Ujedinjeni narodi nisu stvoreni da nas dovedu u raj, već da nas spase od pakla."

"Gaza je sada pakao na Zemlji", dodao je Mansur.

Diplomat je rekao da je do danas ubijeno više od 8.000 Palestinaca, uključujući preko 3.000 na jugu Gaze, gdje je Izrael "prisilno prebacio stotine tisuća ljudi".

"Gotovo svi naši ljudi u Gazi su beskućnici, raseljeni, sele se iz jedne obiteljske kuće u drugu", rekao je.

"Spavaju u svojim automobilima, spavaju na ulicama, a i dalje ih ubijaju gdje god stignu kako bi ih uvjerili da neće biti sigurno nigdje u Gazi", dodao je.
