Primorac smatra kako je budućnost COVID-19, usprkos svim nepoznanicama, već danas određena. Pritom naglašava kako isto govore i vodeći svjetski virolozi koji ne dvoje da će SARS-CoV-2 doživjeti jedan od tri moguća scenarija...
TRI SCENARIJA
– Prvi je da će virus nestati iz ljudske populacije te da će se zadržati u svom prirodnom životinjskom rezervoaru. Isto tako, moguće je da će virus nestati iz ljudske populacije, ali će se i dalje povremeno pojavljivati u određenim dijelovima svijeta, kako to upravo čini MERS ili ptičja gripa, dok zadnji scenarij predviđa sezonsko pojavljivanje virusa (slično gripi ili blagim prehladama izazvanim drugim koronavirusima), s tendencijom smanjenja virulentnosti. Bez obzira na završni scenarij, svijet i Hrvatska idu dalje – optimističan je Primorac.
Kako se trenutačno puno govori o brzim antigenskim testovima kao o novoj strategiji Hrvatske, za koje je do sada, prema tvrdnjama šefa Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo (HZJZ) Krunoslava Capaka, potrošeno oko 150.000 eura (svaki košta četiri eura), upitali smo Dragana Primorca smatra li da je ni četrdesetak tisuća testova dovoljan broj u sadašnjoj fazi širenja virusa. I koliko bismo ljudi, po njegovu mišljenju, dnevno trebali testirati?
Sredstva uložena u antigenske testove već je u svojemu jučerašnjem pismu Krunoslavu Capaku komentirao prof. dr. sc. Ivan Đikić, podsjećajući kako je još tijekom ljeta apelirao na njega i Vladu da se uvede više kapaciteta genetskih testiranja, kao i nove tehnologije i brzi antigenski testovi. Proljetno zatvaranje je Hrvatsku, podsjetimo, koštalo 22 milijarde kuna.
– Prednosti antigenskih testova su goleme. Antigenski test potvrđuje prisutnost SARS-CoV-2 i znatno je brži od RT-PCR-a, jer nema dodatnog koraka amplifikacije viralne RNA, procesa koji je temelj rada PCR-a. Antigenski test je idealan kod osoba koje dolaze četvrti, peti dan nakon infekcije, kad je u nazofarinksu već dosta amplificiranih virusnih čestica. Koncentracija Ag raste naglo nekoliko dana nakon infekcije i maksimum doseže oko 15. dana, a u idućih 10-15 dana pada ispod razine detekcije – objašnjava Primorac, ističući kako je iznimno važno koristiti testove koji su validirani, te ujedno imaju veliku osjetljivost i specifičnost.
VISOKA VJERODOSTOJNOST
– Tako, primjerice, test za utvrđivanje antigena koje koristi Specijalna bolnica Sv. Katarina ima specifičnost (99,68 posto) i osjetljivost (96,52 posto). Jasno je da Hrvatska mora iskoristiti golemu učinkovitost ovih testova i koristiti ih gdje je god to moguće. Možda je najbolji odgovor na vaše pitanje dao prof. dr. Joseph Petrosino, predstojnik Klinike za virologiju i mikrobiologiju Baylor College of Medicine, koji je rekao: Postojeći RT-PCR laboratorijski testovi imaju izvrsnu osjetljivost, no rezultati se nekad moraju čekati i danima. S druge strane, testom za određivanje antigena SARS-CoV-2 rezultat se dobije odmah i za svega nekoliko minuta može se djelovati i inficirane se odmah može poslati u izolaciju – naglašava znanstvenik Dragan Primorac.

Istražuje se 61 cjepivo, šest ih je odobreno
– U ovom trenutku 61 cjepivo je u jednoj od tri faze kliničkih istraživanja, šest ih je odobreno za korištenje iako nisu prošli treću fazu kliničkih istraživanja i tu prvenstveno mislim na cjepiva iz Kine i Rusije. S druge strane, odlična je vijest da je čak 11 cjepiva u trećoj fazi kliničkih istraživanja. Teško je biti prorok, ali sukladno raspoloživim informacijama, ako sve bude išlo prema planu i ne dogodi se neko iznenađenje vezano uz sigurnost korištenja cjepiva, ona bi nam trebala biti na raspolaganju u proljeće – kaže Dragan Primorac.

[text] => {OCMSplitter}– Postojeće mjere, koje je predložio Nacionalni stožer, sveobuhvatne su i treba poduzeti sve da ih implementiramo u svakodnevni život.
Time bismo izbjegli uvođenje svih drastičnih mjera, poput zatvaranja ili uvođenja policijskog sata, a koje ne zagovara ni jedna osoba koju poznajem. Dragan Primorac komentirajući aktualnu situaciju sa širenjem koronavirusa u Hrvatskoj, piše

Primorac smatra kako je budućnost COVID-19, usprkos svim nepoznanicama, već danas određena. Pritom naglašava kako isto govore i vodeći svjetski virolozi koji ne dvoje da će SARS-CoV-2 doživjeti jedan od tri moguća scenarija...
TRI SCENARIJA
– Prvi je da će virus nestati iz ljudske populacije te da će se zadržati u svom prirodnom životinjskom rezervoaru. Isto tako, moguće je da će virus nestati iz ljudske populacije, ali će se i dalje povremeno pojavljivati u određenim dijelovima svijeta, kako to upravo čini MERS ili ptičja gripa, dok zadnji scenarij predviđa sezonsko pojavljivanje virusa (slično gripi ili blagim prehladama izazvanim drugim koronavirusima), s tendencijom smanjenja virulentnosti. Bez obzira na završni scenarij, svijet i Hrvatska idu dalje – optimističan je Primorac.
Kako se trenutačno puno govori o brzim antigenskim testovima kao o novoj strategiji Hrvatske, za koje je do sada, prema tvrdnjama šefa Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo (HZJZ) Krunoslava Capaka, potrošeno oko 150.000 eura (svaki košta četiri eura), upitali smo Dragana Primorca smatra li da je ni četrdesetak tisuća testova dovoljan broj u sadašnjoj fazi širenja virusa. I koliko bismo ljudi, po njegovu mišljenju, dnevno trebali testirati?
Sredstva uložena u antigenske testove već je u svojemu jučerašnjem pismu Krunoslavu Capaku komentirao prof. dr. sc. Ivan Đikić, podsjećajući kako je još tijekom ljeta apelirao na njega i Vladu da se uvede više kapaciteta genetskih testiranja, kao i nove tehnologije i brzi antigenski testovi. Proljetno zatvaranje je Hrvatsku, podsjetimo, koštalo 22 milijarde kuna.
– Prednosti antigenskih testova su goleme. Antigenski test potvrđuje prisutnost SARS-CoV-2 i znatno je brži od RT-PCR-a, jer nema dodatnog koraka amplifikacije viralne RNA, procesa koji je temelj rada PCR-a. Antigenski test je idealan kod osoba koje dolaze četvrti, peti dan nakon infekcije, kad je u nazofarinksu već dosta amplificiranih virusnih čestica. Koncentracija Ag raste naglo nekoliko dana nakon infekcije i maksimum doseže oko 15. dana, a u idućih 10-15 dana pada ispod razine detekcije – objašnjava Primorac, ističući kako je iznimno važno koristiti testove koji su validirani, te ujedno imaju veliku osjetljivost i specifičnost.
VISOKA VJERODOSTOJNOST
– Tako, primjerice, test za utvrđivanje antigena koje koristi Specijalna bolnica Sv. Katarina ima specifičnost (99,68 posto) i osjetljivost (96,52 posto). Jasno je da Hrvatska mora iskoristiti golemu učinkovitost ovih testova i koristiti ih gdje je god to moguće. Možda je najbolji odgovor na vaše pitanje dao prof. dr. Joseph Petrosino, predstojnik Klinike za virologiju i mikrobiologiju Baylor College of Medicine, koji je rekao: Postojeći RT-PCR laboratorijski testovi imaju izvrsnu osjetljivost, no rezultati se nekad moraju čekati i danima. S druge strane, testom za određivanje antigena SARS-CoV-2 rezultat se dobije odmah i za svega nekoliko minuta može se djelovati i inficirane se odmah može poslati u izolaciju – naglašava znanstvenik Dragan Primorac.

Istražuje se 61 cjepivo, šest ih je odobreno
– U ovom trenutku 61 cjepivo je u jednoj od tri faze kliničkih istraživanja, šest ih je odobreno za korištenje iako nisu prošli treću fazu kliničkih istraživanja i tu prvenstveno mislim na cjepiva iz Kine i Rusije. S druge strane, odlična je vijest da je čak 11 cjepiva u trećoj fazi kliničkih istraživanja. Teško je biti prorok, ali sukladno raspoloživim informacijama, ako sve bude išlo prema planu i ne dogodi se neko iznenađenje vezano uz sigurnost korištenja cjepiva, ona bi nam trebala biti na raspolaganju u proljeće – kaže Dragan Primorac.
