Bradley Tucek prvi put se požalio na zubobolju 13. srpnja 2022. Majci je rekao da je "u apsolutnoj agoniji", opisujući to kao "najgoru bol koju je ikada imao u životu".

Nakon posjeta stomatologu sljedeći dan, Tuceku je rečeno da ima infekciju, poslali su ga kući s lijekovima protiv bolova i zakazali su mu vađenje zuba. No, Tucek je prestao odgovarati na pozive i poruke, a obitelj se počela brinuti, piše kurir.rs.

Pet dana kasnije kolege su ga pronašli mrtvog na kuhinjskom podu. Obitelj je ostala bez saznanja o uzroku smrti više od godinu dana. Međutim, izvješće patologa sada je otkrilo da smrt 33-godišnjaka zapravo nije bila povezana s infekcijom zuba, već s komplikacijom povezanom s nedijagnosticiranim dijabetesom.

Bez liječenja, Tucek je razvio dijabetičku ketoacidozu (DKA), rekla je njegova sestra Valentina.

Valentina je rekla da je infekcija zuba njezina brata navedena u izvješću patologa kao faktor koji je doprinio njegovoj smrti, ali nije uzrokovana DKA.

- Infekcija može uzrokovati povećanje određenih hormona koji se suprotstavljaju učincima inzulina i doprinose dijabetičkoj ketoacidozi. Infekcije su također češće i/ili teže u bolesnika sa šećernom bolešću - rekla je patologinja.

Valentina, koja živi u Perthu, rekla je da je bila shrvana kada je saznala da je Tucek umro od neliječenog dijabetesa.

- Kao obitelj dijelili smo svoje teorije dugih 13 mjeseci i slobodno mogu reći da dijabetes nije bio na popisu. Poražavajuće je znati da se smrt mog brata mogla spriječiti jednostavnim liječenjem dijabetesa. Čini se da nije imao nikakve značajne simptome osim gubitka težine, što je pripisao promjenama načina života tijekom pandemije.

Kazala je kako je njezin brat ozbiljno shvatio vladine preporuke da ostane kod kuće tijekom karantene i trajanja pandemije covida-19 te smatra da zato nije otišao liječniku.

Iako je njezina obitelj morala naučiti živjeti bez Tuceka, Valentina kaže kako se nada da ono što se dogodilo njezinom bratu ističe važnost prioriteta za zdravlje i hitnog odlaska liječniku ako primijetite da nešto nije u redu:

- Poruka je, molim vas, nemojte se nikada osjećati kao da gubite vrijeme kod liječnika ili da je drugima potrebna medicinska pomoć više nego vama ili da morate "očvrsnuti". Naše zdravlje nije nešto što treba zanemariti.

Bradley Tucek prvi put se požalio na zubobolju 13. srpnja 2022. Majci je rekao da je "u apsolutnoj agoniji", opisujući to kao "najgoru bol koju je ikada imao u životu".

Nakon posjeta stomatologu sljedeći dan, Tuceku je rečeno da ima infekciju, poslali su ga kući s lijekovima protiv bolova i zakazali su mu vađenje zuba. No, Tucek je prestao odgovarati na pozive i poruke, a obitelj se počela brinuti, piše kurir.rs.

Pet dana kasnije kolege su ga pronašli mrtvog na kuhinjskom podu. Obitelj je ostala bez saznanja o uzroku smrti više od godinu dana. Međutim, izvješće patologa sada je otkrilo da smrt 33-godišnjaka zapravo nije bila povezana s infekcijom zuba, već s komplikacijom povezanom s nedijagnosticiranim dijabetesom.

Bez liječenja, Tucek je razvio dijabetičku ketoacidozu (DKA), rekla je njegova sestra Valentina.

Valentina je rekla da je infekcija zuba njezina brata navedena u izvješću patologa kao faktor koji je doprinio njegovoj smrti, ali nije uzrokovana DKA.

- Infekcija može uzrokovati povećanje određenih hormona koji se suprotstavljaju učincima inzulina i doprinose dijabetičkoj ketoacidozi. Infekcije su također češće i/ili teže u bolesnika sa šećernom bolešću - rekla je patologinja.

Valentina, koja živi u Perthu, rekla je da je bila shrvana kada je saznala da je Tucek umro od neliječenog dijabetesa.

- Kao obitelj dijelili smo svoje teorije dugih 13 mjeseci i slobodno mogu reći da dijabetes nije bio na popisu. Poražavajuće je znati da se smrt mog brata mogla spriječiti jednostavnim liječenjem dijabetesa. Čini se da nije imao nikakve značajne simptome osim gubitka težine, što je pripisao promjenama načina života tijekom pandemije.

Kazala je kako je njezin brat ozbiljno shvatio vladine preporuke da ostane kod kuće tijekom karantene i trajanja pandemije covida-19 te smatra da zato nije otišao liječniku.

Iako je njezina obitelj morala naučiti živjeti bez Tuceka, Valentina kaže kako se nada da ono što se dogodilo njezinom bratu ističe važnost prioriteta za zdravlje i hitnog odlaska liječniku ako primijetite da nešto nije u redu:

- Poruka je, molim vas, nemojte se nikada osjećati kao da gubite vrijeme kod liječnika ili da je drugima potrebna medicinska pomoć više nego vama ili da morate "očvrsnuti". Naše zdravlje nije nešto što treba zanemariti.

Bradley Tucek prvi put se požalio na zubobolju 13. srpnja 2022. Majci je rekao da je "u apsolutnoj agoniji", opisujući to kao "najgoru bol koju je ikada imao u životu".

Nakon posjeta stomatologu sljedeći dan, Tuceku je rečeno da ima infekciju, poslali su ga kući s lijekovima protiv bolova i zakazali su mu vađenje zuba. No, Tucek je prestao odgovarati na pozive i poruke, a obitelj se počela brinuti, piše kurir.rs.

Pet dana kasnije kolege su ga pronašli mrtvog na kuhinjskom podu. Obitelj je ostala bez saznanja o uzroku smrti više od godinu dana. Međutim, izvješće patologa sada je otkrilo da smrt 33-godišnjaka zapravo nije bila povezana s infekcijom zuba, već s komplikacijom povezanom s nedijagnosticiranim dijabetesom.

Bez liječenja, Tucek je razvio dijabetičku ketoacidozu (DKA), rekla je njegova sestra Valentina.

Valentina je rekla da je infekcija zuba njezina brata navedena u izvješću patologa kao faktor koji je doprinio njegovoj smrti, ali nije uzrokovana DKA.

- Infekcija može uzrokovati povećanje određenih hormona koji se suprotstavljaju učincima inzulina i doprinose dijabetičkoj ketoacidozi. Infekcije su također češće i/ili teže u bolesnika sa šećernom bolešću - rekla je patologinja.

Valentina, koja živi u Perthu, rekla je da je bila shrvana kada je saznala da je Tucek umro od neliječenog dijabetesa.

- Kao obitelj dijelili smo svoje teorije dugih 13 mjeseci i slobodno mogu reći da dijabetes nije bio na popisu. Poražavajuće je znati da se smrt mog brata mogla spriječiti jednostavnim liječenjem dijabetesa. Čini se da nije imao nikakve značajne simptome osim gubitka težine, što je pripisao promjenama načina života tijekom pandemije.

Kazala je kako je njezin brat ozbiljno shvatio vladine preporuke da ostane kod kuće tijekom karantene i trajanja pandemije covida-19 te smatra da zato nije otišao liječniku.

Iako je njezina obitelj morala naučiti živjeti bez Tuceka, Valentina kaže kako se nada da ono što se dogodilo njezinom bratu ističe važnost prioriteta za zdravlje i hitnog odlaska liječniku ako primijetite da nešto nije u redu:

- Poruka je, molim vas, nemojte se nikada osjećati kao da gubite vrijeme kod liječnika ili da je drugima potrebna medicinska pomoć više nego vama ili da morate "očvrsnuti". Naše zdravlje nije nešto što treba zanemariti.
