Predsjednica Europskog parlamenta Roberta Metsola danas je na svečanoj ceremoniji uručila prvu nagradu Lux Awards, europsku filmsku nagradu publike, bosanskoj redateljici Jasmili Žbanić za film 'Quo vadis, Aida'. Na današnjoj ceremoniji u velikoj auli Parlamenta Jasmila Žbanić došla je u društvu Munire Subašić, žene koja je preživjela genocid Srebrenice, izgubila najmlađeg sina i još 22 člana uže rodbine te nakon godina borbe, osnovala organizaciju Majke Srebrenice.
Na samo pojavljivanje Munire Subašić zastupnici ali i mnogobrojna publika koja svakodnevno pohodi Parlament digla se na noge kako bi odali počast ženi koja je živi svjedok jednog od najgorih genocida.
Uz film Jasmile Žbanić, u konkurenciji su bila još dva filma koja također svjedoče o teškim trenucima - jedan o onima dječaka, afganistanske izbjeglice koji je sam stigao u svijet i na koji se način borio s teškim životnim situacijama u danskom filmu 'Flee', te austrijsko-njemački film 'Sloboda' o homoseksualnom Nijemcu u godinama nakon Drugog svjetskog rata i njegova borba za slobodu i ljubav.
Quo vadis, Aida film je o prevoditeljici u ratu u Bosni koja radi svoj posao razmišljajući kako će spasiti svoju obitelj od strahota koje su uslijedile, a za koje danas zna cijeli svijet.
-Ovaj je film snažan poziv pravdi za majke i žene Srebrenice koje su svjedočile bezumnom ubijanju preko 8 tisuća svojih voljenih. Takve strahote, takvi zločini protiv čovječnosti nikad se ne smiju zaboraviti – istaknula je predsjednica EU parlamenta Metsola.
Lux nagrade grade mostove između našeg političkog rada i kreativnog rada filmaša u Europi. Luxovi filmovi daleko odjekuju kroz umjetnost podvlačeći bitke za ljudska prava, civilna prava, demokracijom i slobodom, dodala je Metsola.
-Kad sam se pripremala za film o genocidu u Srebrenici, mislila sam da će rat u Bosni, u Hrvatskoj, u našoj regiji, biti posljednji u Europi. Šokirala me spoznaja da smo mi, Europljani, dozvolili rat u Ukrajini, Pozivam vas sve da nađemo načina zaustaviti rat u Ukrajini, jer kako se čini, naša bi regija mogla biti sljedeća na redu” - rekla je Žbanić.
Ipak je najveći odjek kod parlamentaraca imala Munira Subašić, čije su iskrene riječi rasplakale aulu.
-U Ukrajini, majke plaču, traže kosti svojih sinova. Plaču i ruske majke, jer su im sinove poslali da budu ubojice ili budu ubijeni. Molim vas, zaustavite rat u Ukrajini. I danas, toliko godina poslije, majke traže kosti svoje djece iz Srebrenice, ja sam našla dvije kosti svojeg najmlađeg sina kojeg sam voljela najviše na svijetu. Izgubila sam i još 22 člana svoje obitelji. Majčinska je tuga najteža. Najveća nepravda na svijetu je čekati pravdu...” - rekla je Subašić.

Predsjednica Europskog parlamenta Roberta Metsola danas je na svečanoj ceremoniji uručila prvu nagradu Lux Awards, europsku filmsku nagradu publike, bosanskoj redateljici Jasmili Žbanić za film 'Quo vadis, Aida'. Na današnjoj ceremoniji u velikoj auli Parlamenta Jasmila Žbanić došla je u društvu Munire Subašić, žene koja je preživjela genocid Srebrenice, izgubila najmlađeg sina i još 22 člana uže rodbine te nakon godina borbe, osnovala organizaciju Majke Srebrenice.
Na samo pojavljivanje Munire Subašić zastupnici ali i mnogobrojna publika koja svakodnevno pohodi Parlament digla se na noge kako bi odali počast ženi koja je živi svjedok jednog od najgorih genocida.
Uz film Jasmile Žbanić, u konkurenciji su bila još dva filma koja također svjedoče o teškim trenucima - jedan o onima dječaka, afganistanske izbjeglice koji je sam stigao u svijet i na koji se način borio s teškim životnim situacijama u danskom filmu 'Flee', te austrijsko-njemački film 'Sloboda' o homoseksualnom Nijemcu u godinama nakon Drugog svjetskog rata i njegova borba za slobodu i ljubav.
Quo vadis, Aida film je o prevoditeljici u ratu u Bosni koja radi svoj posao razmišljajući kako će spasiti svoju obitelj od strahota koje su uslijedile, a za koje danas zna cijeli svijet.
-Ovaj je film snažan poziv pravdi za majke i žene Srebrenice koje su svjedočile bezumnom ubijanju preko 8 tisuća svojih voljenih. Takve strahote, takvi zločini protiv čovječnosti nikad se ne smiju zaboraviti – istaknula je predsjednica EU parlamenta Metsola.
Lux nagrade grade mostove između našeg političkog rada i kreativnog rada filmaša u Europi. Luxovi filmovi daleko odjekuju kroz umjetnost podvlačeći bitke za ljudska prava, civilna prava, demokracijom i slobodom, dodala je Metsola.
-Kad sam se pripremala za film o genocidu u Srebrenici, mislila sam da će rat u Bosni, u Hrvatskoj, u našoj regiji, biti posljednji u Europi. Šokirala me spoznaja da smo mi, Europljani, dozvolili rat u Ukrajini, Pozivam vas sve da nađemo načina zaustaviti rat u Ukrajini, jer kako se čini, naša bi regija mogla biti sljedeća na redu” - rekla je Žbanić.
Ipak je najveći odjek kod parlamentaraca imala Munira Subašić, čije su iskrene riječi rasplakale aulu.
-U Ukrajini, majke plaču, traže kosti svojih sinova. Plaču i ruske majke, jer su im sinove poslali da budu ubojice ili budu ubijeni. Molim vas, zaustavite rat u Ukrajini. I danas, toliko godina poslije, majke traže kosti svoje djece iz Srebrenice, ja sam našla dvije kosti svojeg najmlađeg sina kojeg sam voljela najviše na svijetu. Izgubila sam i još 22 člana svoje obitelji. Majčinska je tuga najteža. Najveća nepravda na svijetu je čekati pravdu...” - rekla je Subašić.
