Je li uopće moguć derivat priče o boksaču Rockyu Balboi bez Silvestera Stallonea u kadru? Nakon devet nastavaka serijala koji pratimo još od 1976. takvo što je izgledalo nestvarno, no potvrdilo se da nitko na ovom svijetu nije nezamjenjiv, pa tako ni neuništivi Sly. Istina, 77- godišnji veteran još je vezan uz franšizu, no odsad u ulozi producenta. Ostatak konaca u svoje je ruke preuzeo Michael B. Jordan, glumac kojemu je aktualni ‘Creed 3‘ redateljski debi. Jordan je zaslužan za prilično uspješnu tranziciju dugovječne filmske sage od Balboe prema Creedu: zbog Stalloneove dobi, glavni junak Rocky više nije mogao aktivno boksati pa je postao mentor Adonisu Donnieu Creedu, mladom borcu i sinu svog kolege iz ringa Apolla.

Od prvog dijela 2015. do danas Creed je uznapredovao na društvenoj ljestvici, sad pripada eliti, no sustiže ga i steže nimalo glamurozna prošlost.

Jordanov ‘Creed‘ dobro je uravnotežen spoj sportskog i emotivnog tkiva, s obaveznim primjesama rasne problematike. Glavni junak je tamnoput, baš kao i njegov protivnik i nemeza Diamond Dame Anderson (Jonathan Majors). Obojici je boks bio (jedina) karta za bijeg s društvenog dna, no samo ju je jedan iskoristio. Suparništvo na relaciji Creed-Dame uvjerljivo je prezentirano, a poseban doprinos antagonizmu daje odlična Majorsova rola osvetnika čije je postupke lako razumjeti a teško osuditi.

Novi ‘Creed‘ dosta pozornosti pridaje obiteljskom životu naslovnog lika koji povremeno zasjenjuje onaj sportski, što nije nužno loše jer donosi dopadljiv odmak prema kućnom matrijarhatu. Pri tom je malena Mila Davis Kent kao Creedova kći Amara poseban dobitak, nova dječja zvijezda kojoj je promidžba američkog znakovnog jezika (ASL) došla kao prirođena.

Iako se u ovoj sportskoj drami ne može govoriti o posebno inovativnoj fabuli, Jordan recikliranim motivima manevrira sigurno, kao da ima više redateljskog iskustva nego to govori faktografija. Kad se kamere prema završnici usredotoče na meč dvojice bivših prijatelja u boksačkoj areni, 36-godišnji redatelj ‘pripravnik‘ pronalazi par kreativnih rješenja.

Nešto magle, nešto snoviđenja i pokoji potresni flashback za podizanje motivacije podsjećaju na Jordanovu ulogu u kultnom ‘Black pantheru‘ gdje je odradio dojmljiv dinastički dvoboj s danas pokojnim Chadwickom Bosemanom. Kad je prije osam godina zakoračio na Slyev teritorij, nitko se nije usudio prognozirati koliko će rundi odigrati Michael B., pristali glumac koji bi se u nedostatku posla mogao baviti i modelingom.

Nakon trećeg Creeda nema dvojbe da je reboot uspješno proveden i da nova trilogija za glavnog nositelja neće završiti nokautom. Naprotiv, ‘Creed 3‘ uzverao se prošlog vikenda na vrh top liste najgledanijih filmova, kao najprofitabilniji iz istoimenog trolista.

Mlađa publika dobila je novog heroja s pojasom šampiona, a stariji nostalgičari priliku za usporedbu borbi iz ranijih nastavaka u vječnom izboru najbolje ikad. Od najnovijeg sraza Creeda i Damea bilo je i uvjerljivijih (čitaj krvavijih) izvedbi, kazat će upućeni, no ima nešto i povrh toga što daje nadu u opstanak Rockyeva nasljeđa dugo nakon umirovljenja ‘izvornika‘.

Je li uopće moguć derivat priče o boksaču Rockyu Balboi bez Silvestera Stallonea u kadru? Nakon devet nastavaka serijala koji pratimo još od 1976. takvo što je izgledalo nestvarno, no potvrdilo se da nitko na ovom svijetu nije nezamjenjiv, pa tako ni neuništivi Sly. Istina, 77- godišnji veteran još je vezan uz franšizu, no odsad u ulozi producenta. Ostatak konaca u svoje je ruke preuzeo Michael B. Jordan, glumac kojemu je aktualni ‘Creed 3‘ redateljski debi. Jordan je zaslužan za prilično uspješnu tranziciju dugovječne filmske sage od Balboe prema Creedu: zbog Stalloneove dobi, glavni junak Rocky više nije mogao aktivno boksati pa je postao mentor Adonisu Donnieu Creedu, mladom borcu i sinu svog kolege iz ringa Apolla.

Od prvog dijela 2015. do danas Creed je uznapredovao na društvenoj ljestvici, sad pripada eliti, no sustiže ga i steže nimalo glamurozna prošlost.

Jordanov ‘Creed‘ dobro je uravnotežen spoj sportskog i emotivnog tkiva, s obaveznim primjesama rasne problematike. Glavni junak je tamnoput, baš kao i njegov protivnik i nemeza Diamond Dame Anderson (Jonathan Majors). Obojici je boks bio (jedina) karta za bijeg s društvenog dna, no samo ju je jedan iskoristio. Suparništvo na relaciji Creed-Dame uvjerljivo je prezentirano, a poseban doprinos antagonizmu daje odlična Majorsova rola osvetnika čije je postupke lako razumjeti a teško osuditi.

Novi ‘Creed‘ dosta pozornosti pridaje obiteljskom životu naslovnog lika koji povremeno zasjenjuje onaj sportski, što nije nužno loše jer donosi dopadljiv odmak prema kućnom matrijarhatu. Pri tom je malena Mila Davis Kent kao Creedova kći Amara poseban dobitak, nova dječja zvijezda kojoj je promidžba američkog znakovnog jezika (ASL) došla kao prirođena.

Iako se u ovoj sportskoj drami ne može govoriti o posebno inovativnoj fabuli, Jordan recikliranim motivima manevrira sigurno, kao da ima više redateljskog iskustva nego to govori faktografija. Kad se kamere prema završnici usredotoče na meč dvojice bivših prijatelja u boksačkoj areni, 36-godišnji redatelj ‘pripravnik‘ pronalazi par kreativnih rješenja.

Nešto magle, nešto snoviđenja i pokoji potresni flashback za podizanje motivacije podsjećaju na Jordanovu ulogu u kultnom ‘Black pantheru‘ gdje je odradio dojmljiv dinastički dvoboj s danas pokojnim Chadwickom Bosemanom. Kad je prije osam godina zakoračio na Slyev teritorij, nitko se nije usudio prognozirati koliko će rundi odigrati Michael B., pristali glumac koji bi se u nedostatku posla mogao baviti i modelingom.

Nakon trećeg Creeda nema dvojbe da je reboot uspješno proveden i da nova trilogija za glavnog nositelja neće završiti nokautom. Naprotiv, ‘Creed 3‘ uzverao se prošlog vikenda na vrh top liste najgledanijih filmova, kao najprofitabilniji iz istoimenog trolista.

Mlađa publika dobila je novog heroja s pojasom šampiona, a stariji nostalgičari priliku za usporedbu borbi iz ranijih nastavaka u vječnom izboru najbolje ikad. Od najnovijeg sraza Creeda i Damea bilo je i uvjerljivijih (čitaj krvavijih) izvedbi, kazat će upućeni, no ima nešto i povrh toga što daje nadu u opstanak Rockyeva nasljeđa dugo nakon umirovljenja ‘izvornika‘.
