Ubrzo nakon što su vidjeli razmjere katastrofalnog potresa koji je razorio Petrinju, Glinu i brojna okolna mjesta, grupa od petnaestak mladih ljudi iz Novalje odlučila je da nemaju pravo stajati i gledati što se događa. Zapalili su Instagram i Facebook profile i od popodne do tri sata u noći između utorka i srijede sjeli su u kombije i otišli u Petrinju i Glinu!

-Ljudima treba pomoći! Krenuli smo u tri sata noću, uzeo je svatko svoj ili kombi od firme, ljudi su u neviđeno kratkom vremenu prikupili dosta stvari potrebnih stanovnicima koji su ostali bez svojih domova, priča nam A.B. vraćajući se prema otoku Pagu.
-Kad smo stigli u Petrinju, poslali su nas u okolna sela. Strašni su to prizori, u glavu mi se urezao mali dječak kako stoji uz cestu ispred oštećene kuće i gleda. Užas. Ljudima u cijeloj Hrvatskoj bi trebalo reći da su ljudima na pogođenom području sada najpotrebniji agregati, odjeća i deke, ovdje je ledeno, samo koji stupanj iznad nule, nastavlja A.B.
Mladi su otočani pomoć s Paga ostavili u Letovaniću, Glini, Starom brodu.
-Ne mogu vam to opisati. Prolazio sam već dosada tim krajem, neimaština se vidjela i prije, ali sada to poprima neku drugu dimenziju. S nama je bio i čovjek koji živi u Novalji, ali je iz Siska, ali nismo uspjeli otići vidjeti je li mu stan oštećen, na cesti je prema Sisku bila tolika gužva, more ljudi iz Zagreba automobilima dolazi i nosi pomoć. U Petrinju ne možeš ni ući, Glina je krcata različitom robom, trebalo je vidjeti kako su ljudi iz cijele zemlje reagirali. Strašno je što se tim nesretnim ljudima dogodilo, ljudski su životi nenadoknadivi. Sve drugo će biti dobro, proći će to, kaže A.B.

Iz ove skupine ljudi, nisu se svi ni vratili na Pag – njih osmorica su ostali i pomažu na raščišćavanju ruševina. Preostali su požurili u Novalju gdje se u međuvremenu akcija prikupljanja pomoći proširila:
-Da, ljudi ne prestaju prikupljati pomoć, Grad Novalja će pomoći, uključili su se svi na otoku Pagu, pa će u četvrtak ujutro prema Petrinji i Glini krenuti još tri kombija i jedan kamion. Želimo se zahvaliti svima koji sudjeluju u ovoj akciji, baš svima, zaključuje A.B.
Mada smo dobili imena svih tih ljudi, na kraju su zatražili da ih poimenično ne spominjemo jer su „samo uradili ono što su morali” i zato su sretni.
-Nismo mi tu bitni, važno je pomoći čovjeku kojemu je pomoć potrebna, zaključuje A.B. čiji su inicijali ipak točni.

Ubrzo nakon što su vidjeli razmjere katastrofalnog potresa koji je razorio Petrinju, Glinu i brojna okolna mjesta, grupa od petnaestak mladih ljudi iz Novalje odlučila je da nemaju pravo stajati i gledati što se događa. Zapalili su Instagram i Facebook profile i od popodne do tri sata u noći između utorka i srijede sjeli su u kombije i otišli u Petrinju i Glinu!

-Ljudima treba pomoći! Krenuli smo u tri sata noću, uzeo je svatko svoj ili kombi od firme, ljudi su u neviđeno kratkom vremenu prikupili dosta stvari potrebnih stanovnicima koji su ostali bez svojih domova, priča nam A.B. vraćajući se prema otoku Pagu.
-Kad smo stigli u Petrinju, poslali su nas u okolna sela. Strašni su to prizori, u glavu mi se urezao mali dječak kako stoji uz cestu ispred oštećene kuće i gleda. Užas. Ljudima u cijeloj Hrvatskoj bi trebalo reći da su ljudima na pogođenom području sada najpotrebniji agregati, odjeća i deke, ovdje je ledeno, samo koji stupanj iznad nule, nastavlja A.B.
Mladi su otočani pomoć s Paga ostavili u Letovaniću, Glini, Starom brodu.
-Ne mogu vam to opisati. Prolazio sam već dosada tim krajem, neimaština se vidjela i prije, ali sada to poprima neku drugu dimenziju. S nama je bio i čovjek koji živi u Novalji, ali je iz Siska, ali nismo uspjeli otići vidjeti je li mu stan oštećen, na cesti je prema Sisku bila tolika gužva, more ljudi iz Zagreba automobilima dolazi i nosi pomoć. U Petrinju ne možeš ni ući, Glina je krcata različitom robom, trebalo je vidjeti kako su ljudi iz cijele zemlje reagirali. Strašno je što se tim nesretnim ljudima dogodilo, ljudski su životi nenadoknadivi. Sve drugo će biti dobro, proći će to, kaže A.B.

Iz ove skupine ljudi, nisu se svi ni vratili na Pag – njih osmorica su ostali i pomažu na raščišćavanju ruševina. Preostali su požurili u Novalju gdje se u međuvremenu akcija prikupljanja pomoći proširila:
-Da, ljudi ne prestaju prikupljati pomoć, Grad Novalja će pomoći, uključili su se svi na otoku Pagu, pa će u četvrtak ujutro prema Petrinji i Glini krenuti još tri kombija i jedan kamion. Želimo se zahvaliti svima koji sudjeluju u ovoj akciji, baš svima, zaključuje A.B.
Mada smo dobili imena svih tih ljudi, na kraju su zatražili da ih poimenično ne spominjemo jer su „samo uradili ono što su morali” i zato su sretni.
-Nismo mi tu bitni, važno je pomoći čovjeku kojemu je pomoć potrebna, zaključuje A.B. čiji su inicijali ipak točni.
