Zgroženi smrću djeteta, oboljelog od COVID-a, koje je razvilo rijetku komplikaciju zabilježenu do sada kod manjeg broja djece koja su bila pozitivna na koronu, istražili smo koliko je takvih slučajeva bilo u Splitu.

Govorimo o multisistemskom upalnom sindromu (MIS-C), koji pogađa djecu do petnaeste godine života, nevjerojatnije zbog specifičnog imunološkog odaziva. Ovaj sindrom je, podsjećamo, detektiran tek u travnju prošle godine.

- Nažalost nova dijagnoza u medicini je nastala upravo u ovo pandemijsko doba, to je multiorganski inflamatorni (ili upalni) sindrom – specifična imunološka reakcija, koja se javlja u pravilu nakon preležane infekcije COVID-om. Ova reakcija može biti potpuno asimptomatska, bez ikakvih znakova – pojasnio nam je predstojnik splitske Klinike za dječje bolesti prof. prim. dr. sc. Veselin Škrabić.

- Mi smo u našoj Klinici do sada zbog toga hospitalizirali osam bolesnika, koji su imali kriterije bolesti kojima su "zadovoljili" dijagnozu multiorganskog inflamatornog sindroma. Na sreću svi su izliječeni, od toga su dvojica bili u vitalno ugrožavajućem stanju, u ozbiljnoj kliničkoj slici – rekao je predstojnik Škrabić.

Pojasnio je i kako su se djeca liječila imunoglobulinima i kortikosteroidima, uz i ostalu potpornu terapiju i terapiju koju je pojedini pacijent zahtijevao.

- U pravilu, i poznato je iz medicinske literature, ovo se događa kod djece koja nemaju komorbiditete, dakle kod zdrave djece, u nas u Hrvatskoj do sada je bilo 24 slučaja – kazao nam je liječnik.

Zgroženi smrću djeteta, oboljelog od COVID-a, koje je razvilo rijetku komplikaciju zabilježenu do sada kod manjeg broja djece koja su bila pozitivna na koronu, istražili smo koliko je takvih slučajeva bilo u Splitu.

Govorimo o multisistemskom upalnom sindromu (MIS-C), koji pogađa djecu do petnaeste godine života, nevjerojatnije zbog specifičnog imunološkog odaziva. Ovaj sindrom je, podsjećamo, detektiran tek u travnju prošle godine.

- Nažalost nova dijagnoza u medicini je nastala upravo u ovo pandemijsko doba, to je multiorganski inflamatorni (ili upalni) sindrom – specifična imunološka reakcija, koja se javlja u pravilu nakon preležane infekcije COVID-om. Ova reakcija može biti potpuno asimptomatska, bez ikakvih znakova – pojasnio nam je predstojnik splitske Klinike za dječje bolesti prof. prim. dr. sc. Veselin Škrabić.

- Mi smo u našoj Klinici do sada zbog toga hospitalizirali osam bolesnika, koji su imali kriterije bolesti kojima su "zadovoljili" dijagnozu multiorganskog inflamatornog sindroma. Na sreću svi su izliječeni, od toga su dvojica bili u vitalno ugrožavajućem stanju, u ozbiljnoj kliničkoj slici – rekao je predstojnik Škrabić.

Pojasnio je i kako su se djeca liječila imunoglobulinima i kortikosteroidima, uz i ostalu potpornu terapiju i terapiju koju je pojedini pacijent zahtijevao.

- U pravilu, i poznato je iz medicinske literature, ovo se događa kod djece koja nemaju komorbiditete, dakle kod zdrave djece, u nas u Hrvatskoj do sada je bilo 24 slučaja – kazao nam je liječnik.

Šef splitske Dječje klinike: I u nas se liječilo osam bolesnika koji su imali multiorganski inflamatorni sindrom od kojega je umro dječak u Zagrebu

Zgroženi smrću djeteta, oboljelog od COVID-a, koje je razvilo rijetku komplikaciju zabilježenu do sada kod manjeg broja djece koja su bila pozitivna na koronu, istražili smo koliko je takvih slučajeva bilo u Splitu.

Govorimo o multisistemskom upalnom sindromu (MIS-C), koji pogađa djecu do petnaeste godine života, nevjerojatnije zbog specifičnog imunološkog odaziva. Ovaj sindrom je, podsjećamo, detektiran tek u travnju prošle godine.

- Nažalost nova dijagnoza u medicini je nastala upravo u ovo pandemijsko doba, to je multiorganski inflamatorni (ili upalni) sindrom – specifična imunološka reakcija, koja se javlja u pravilu nakon preležane infekcije COVID-om. Ova reakcija može biti potpuno asimptomatska, bez ikakvih znakova – pojasnio nam je predstojnik splitske Klinike za dječje bolesti prof. prim. dr. sc. Veselin Škrabić.

- Mi smo u našoj Klinici do sada zbog toga hospitalizirali osam bolesnika, koji su imali kriterije bolesti kojima su "zadovoljili" dijagnozu multiorganskog inflamatornog sindroma. Na sreću svi su izliječeni, od toga su dvojica bili u vitalno ugrožavajućem stanju, u ozbiljnoj kliničkoj slici – rekao je predstojnik Škrabić.

Pojasnio je i kako su se djeca liječila imunoglobulinima i kortikosteroidima, uz i ostalu potpornu terapiju i terapiju koju je pojedini pacijent zahtijevao.

- U pravilu, i poznato je iz medicinske literature, ovo se događa kod djece koja nemaju komorbiditete, dakle kod zdrave djece, u nas u Hrvatskoj do sada je bilo 24 slučaja – kazao nam je liječnik.
