„Ovakav potres je na rasjedu od oko 200-300 kilometara. U usporedbi s potresima koje smo imali u Zagrebu i na Baniji, turski potres mnogo je jači po količini oslobođene energije. Čak 125 puta jači je od petrinjskog te čak 5.600 puta od zagrebačkog! - rekla je voditeljica hrvatske Seizmološke službe Ines Ivančić na N1 televiziji.
Podsjetila je kako se Turska nalazi na osjetljivom seizmološkom području. “Ona je dio anadolske ploče, a ovaj rasjed koji je sad aktiviran zove s istočni anadolski rascjep. Posljedica potresa su gibanje afričke i arapske ploče, a Turska se nalazi na sredini i potres je rezultat tih gibanja - objasnila je Ivančić i dodala kako su upravo te tektonske ploče inicijatori potresa. One dovode do rasjeda koji dugi niz vremena mogu akumulirati energiju dok ne dođe do puknuća i tada nastaje potres zbog te dugo akumulirane energije.
"Nema mogućnosti prognozirati vrijeme kada će se potres dogoditi, no znamo gdje su trusna područja. To nije nepoznanica”, dodala je.
Podsjetimo, područje Zagreba pogodio je 22. ožujka 2020., potres jačine 5,5 stupnjeva, a prema Seizmološkoj službi, do kraja 2021. zabilježeno je oko 3.500 naknadnih manjih potresa.
Banijski potresi koji su se dogodili 28. i 29. prosinca 2020. godine potpuno su razorili ovo inače siromašno hrvatsko područje. Prvi jak potres magnitude 5,0 po Richteru dogodio se 28. prosinca, a uslijedilo je još nekoliko slabijih potresa. Nažalost, oni su bili samo uvertira u udar snage 6,2 po Richteru koji se dogodio u 12.19 sati 29. prosinca 2020. godine.

Kotrljale se gormade sa Srđa
Najjači potres koji bilježe naše povijesne knjige bio je u Dubrovniku 6. travnja davne 1667. Tad su se goleme kamene gromade kotrljale niz padine Srđa rušeći sve pred sobom. Nastale su pukotine u zemlji, izvori vode su presušili, a na moru se pojavio plimni val, koji je potopio brodove u dubrovačkoj gradskoj luci.
Na temelju zapisa je rekonstruirano kako je taj potres bio jak najmanje 7.6 stupnjeva po Richteru. Dubrovnik je tada imao oko pet tisuća stanovnika, a u potresu ih je poginulo oko 1200. Junački je u Dubrovniku zatreslo i 1979. kad je epicentar bio u Crnoj Gori. Tamo je imao snagu od čak 7 stupnjeva po Richteru, dok je na dubrovačkom području bio nešto blaži, oko 6,5. Stonjani pak nikad neće zaboraviti 1996. godinu kad ih je treslo 6 stupnjeva po Richteru. Zbog močvarnoga tla na kojemu Ston leži, kuće su temeljito srušene, a intenzitet udara je procijenjen na 8 stupnjeva.
Potres snage 6,2 po Richteru pogodio je Imotsku krajinu usred Drugog svjetskog rata, bilo je najmanje 20 mrtvih i nepoznat broj ozlijeđenih. Petrinjski potres bio je jačine kao i onaj u Makarskoj 1962. kada je uz golemu štetu, evakuirano stanovništvo. Prvi makarski udar je iznosio 5,9 stupnjeva po Richteru, a tjedan kasnije udario još snažniji od 6,2 stupnja po Richteru.
Seizmičnost Hrvatske u usporedbi sa zemljama iz okruženja usporediva je sa seizmičnosti Slovenije i Crne Gore, a manja od one u Italiji, Albaniji, Grčkoj ili Turskoj.

„Ovakav potres je na rasjedu od oko 200-300 kilometara. U usporedbi s potresima koje smo imali u Zagrebu i na Baniji, turski potres mnogo je jači po količini oslobođene energije. Čak 125 puta jači je od petrinjskog te čak 5.600 puta od zagrebačkog! - rekla je voditeljica hrvatske Seizmološke službe Ines Ivančić na N1 televiziji.
Podsjetila je kako se Turska nalazi na osjetljivom seizmološkom području. “Ona je dio anadolske ploče, a ovaj rasjed koji je sad aktiviran zove s istočni anadolski rascjep. Posljedica potresa su gibanje afričke i arapske ploče, a Turska se nalazi na sredini i potres je rezultat tih gibanja - objasnila je Ivančić i dodala kako su upravo te tektonske ploče inicijatori potresa. One dovode do rasjeda koji dugi niz vremena mogu akumulirati energiju dok ne dođe do puknuća i tada nastaje potres zbog te dugo akumulirane energije.
"Nema mogućnosti prognozirati vrijeme kada će se potres dogoditi, no znamo gdje su trusna područja. To nije nepoznanica”, dodala je.
Podsjetimo, područje Zagreba pogodio je 22. ožujka 2020., potres jačine 5,5 stupnjeva, a prema Seizmološkoj službi, do kraja 2021. zabilježeno je oko 3.500 naknadnih manjih potresa.
Banijski potresi koji su se dogodili 28. i 29. prosinca 2020. godine potpuno su razorili ovo inače siromašno hrvatsko područje. Prvi jak potres magnitude 5,0 po Richteru dogodio se 28. prosinca, a uslijedilo je još nekoliko slabijih potresa. Nažalost, oni su bili samo uvertira u udar snage 6,2 po Richteru koji se dogodio u 12.19 sati 29. prosinca 2020. godine.

Kotrljale se gormade sa Srđa
Najjači potres koji bilježe naše povijesne knjige bio je u Dubrovniku 6. travnja davne 1667. Tad su se goleme kamene gromade kotrljale niz padine Srđa rušeći sve pred sobom. Nastale su pukotine u zemlji, izvori vode su presušili, a na moru se pojavio plimni val, koji je potopio brodove u dubrovačkoj gradskoj luci.
Na temelju zapisa je rekonstruirano kako je taj potres bio jak najmanje 7.6 stupnjeva po Richteru. Dubrovnik je tada imao oko pet tisuća stanovnika, a u potresu ih je poginulo oko 1200. Junački je u Dubrovniku zatreslo i 1979. kad je epicentar bio u Crnoj Gori. Tamo je imao snagu od čak 7 stupnjeva po Richteru, dok je na dubrovačkom području bio nešto blaži, oko 6,5. Stonjani pak nikad neće zaboraviti 1996. godinu kad ih je treslo 6 stupnjeva po Richteru. Zbog močvarnoga tla na kojemu Ston leži, kuće su temeljito srušene, a intenzitet udara je procijenjen na 8 stupnjeva.
Potres snage 6,2 po Richteru pogodio je Imotsku krajinu usred Drugog svjetskog rata, bilo je najmanje 20 mrtvih i nepoznat broj ozlijeđenih. Petrinjski potres bio je jačine kao i onaj u Makarskoj 1962. kada je uz golemu štetu, evakuirano stanovništvo. Prvi makarski udar je iznosio 5,9 stupnjeva po Richteru, a tjedan kasnije udario još snažniji od 6,2 stupnja po Richteru.
Seizmičnost Hrvatske u usporedbi sa zemljama iz okruženja usporediva je sa seizmičnosti Slovenije i Crne Gore, a manja od one u Italiji, Albaniji, Grčkoj ili Turskoj.
