Globalna internetska platforma Airbnb najavila je da će iznajmljivačima isplatiti 250 milijuna dolara kako bi im olakšala financijski teret povrata novca gostima nakon otkazanih rezervacija zbog pandemije koronavirusa.
Airbnb time nastoji udobrovoljiti iznajmljivače zatečene njegovom odlukom od prije par tjedana da gostima koji su otkazali rezervacije zbog preporuka zdravstvenih vlasti da ostanu kod kuće moraju u cijelosti vratiti uplaćeni novac.
„Molimo vas da imate na umu da ta odluka nije bila motivirana poslovnim razlozima već zaštitom javnog zdravlja", naglasio je suosnivač i direktor Airbnb-a Brian Chesky.
"Iako vjerujem da smo postupili ispravno, stavljajući na prvo mjesto zdravlje i sigurnost, žao mi je što smo odluku priopćili gostima, ne konzultiravši se prethodno s vama, što bi partneri inače napravili", dodao je Chesky.
Za otkazane rezervacije u razdoblju od 14. ožujka do 31. svibnja zbog COVID-a 19 Airbnb će iznajmljivačima isplatiti 25 posto dogovorenog iznosa.
Putnicima koji otkažu rezervaciju u tom razdoblju Airbnb najavljuje povrat cijelog iznosa ili kredit za buduće rezervacije.
Kompanija je u međuvremenu osnovala fond vrijedan 10 milijuna dolara za iskusne i visoko ocijenjene „superdomaćine“ kojima treba pomoć u plaćanju hipoteka ili najamnina zbog razornih posljedica koronavirusa u sektoru putovanja.
Fond su pokrenuli zaposlenici Airbnb uplatom milijun dolara a preostalih devet doplatila su dvojica suosnivača, stoji u priopćenju tvrke.
Airbnb će platformi dodati i novu funkciju kako bi gostima omogućio da šalju financijsku podršku domaćinima s kojima su se zbližili tijekom boravka.
"Ova je oluja strašna ali će proći. Kada prođe, ljudi će jedva čekati da izađu iz svojih domova. Kada izađu, krenut će u istraživanje svijeta i doći će u posjet", poručio je čelnik Airbnb-ja.
Oko 50 tisuća Airbnb-ijevih iznajmljivača dobrovoljno je stavilo svoje domove na raspolaganje zdravstvenim djelatnicima, pružateljima pomoći i prvima na crti obrane protiv pandemije koronavirusa, podsjetio je Chesky.

Globalna internetska platforma Airbnb najavila je da će iznajmljivačima isplatiti 250 milijuna dolara kako bi im olakšala financijski teret povrata novca gostima nakon otkazanih rezervacija zbog pandemije koronavirusa.
Airbnb time nastoji udobrovoljiti iznajmljivače zatečene njegovom odlukom od prije par tjedana da gostima koji su otkazali rezervacije zbog preporuka zdravstvenih vlasti da ostanu kod kuće moraju u cijelosti vratiti uplaćeni novac.
„Molimo vas da imate na umu da ta odluka nije bila motivirana poslovnim razlozima već zaštitom javnog zdravlja", naglasio je suosnivač i direktor Airbnb-a Brian Chesky.
"Iako vjerujem da smo postupili ispravno, stavljajući na prvo mjesto zdravlje i sigurnost, žao mi je što smo odluku priopćili gostima, ne konzultiravši se prethodno s vama, što bi partneri inače napravili", dodao je Chesky.
Za otkazane rezervacije u razdoblju od 14. ožujka do 31. svibnja zbog COVID-a 19 Airbnb će iznajmljivačima isplatiti 25 posto dogovorenog iznosa.
Putnicima koji otkažu rezervaciju u tom razdoblju Airbnb najavljuje povrat cijelog iznosa ili kredit za buduće rezervacije.
Kompanija je u međuvremenu osnovala fond vrijedan 10 milijuna dolara za iskusne i visoko ocijenjene „superdomaćine“ kojima treba pomoć u plaćanju hipoteka ili najamnina zbog razornih posljedica koronavirusa u sektoru putovanja.
Fond su pokrenuli zaposlenici Airbnb uplatom milijun dolara a preostalih devet doplatila su dvojica suosnivača, stoji u priopćenju tvrke.
Airbnb će platformi dodati i novu funkciju kako bi gostima omogućio da šalju financijsku podršku domaćinima s kojima su se zbližili tijekom boravka.
"Ova je oluja strašna ali će proći. Kada prođe, ljudi će jedva čekati da izađu iz svojih domova. Kada izađu, krenut će u istraživanje svijeta i doći će u posjet", poručio je čelnik Airbnb-ja.
Oko 50 tisuća Airbnb-ijevih iznajmljivača dobrovoljno je stavilo svoje domove na raspolaganje zdravstvenim djelatnicima, pružateljima pomoći i prvima na crti obrane protiv pandemije koronavirusa, podsjetio je Chesky.
