Pitanje trajanja imuniteta nakon što osoba preboli COVID-19 ili dobije cjepivo, jedno je od najvažnijih u ovoj pandemiji, a najnovija studija objavljena u uglednom časopisu Science, donosi nam optimistične vijesti.
Dosadašnja istraživanja utvrdila su, naime, kako su osobe koje su preboljele koronavirus otporne na mogućnost nove zaraze od najmanje tri pa do šest mjeseci, a studija objavljena u Sciencu, pokazuje da imunitet na SARS-CoV-2 može trajati osam mjeseci te da nije isključena ni mogućost trajnog imuniteta na sekundarni Covid-19.
Kao što znamo, imunološko pamćenje, kao posljedica primarne infekcije ili imunizacije, izvor je zaštitnog imuniteta od naknadne infekcije, a znanstvenici su imunološki odgovor sve tri grane adaptivnog imuniteta na koronavirus (CD4 + T stanica, CD8 + T stanica i humoralni imunitet) procijenili u studiji analizirajući podatke 188 ljudi oporavljenih od korone.
Grupa znanstvenika predvođenih istraživačima s La Jolla Instituta za imunologiju analizirala je 254 uzorka od 188 pacijenata, od čega su 43 uzorka uzeta najmanje šest mjeseci nakon infekcije.
Među ispitanicima je bilo 80 muškaraca i 108 žena, kao i osoba s raznim simptomima bolesti, od onih asimptomatskih, preko blagih i umjerenih, pa sve do najtežih slučajeva COVID-a.
Iz njihove studije proizlazi da se pet do osam mjeseci nakon pojave simptoma, imunološka memorija u najmanje tri imunološka odjeljka može pronaći kod oko 95 posto ispitanika, što znači da postoji mogućnost trajnog imuniteta na drugu zarazu COVID-om kod većine osoba.
Profesor na Medicinskom fakultetu u Splitu i član Vladina Znanstvenog savjeta za borbu protiv koronavirusa, prof. dr. Ozren Polašek pojašnjava kako su u ovom istraživanju uspoređeni rezultati nekoliko odjeljaka imunološkog sustava, koji su pokazali da je imunološki odgovor na zaražavanje kod istraživanih osoba trajao duže od očekivanja, i to do osam mjeseci za pojedine imunološke mehanizme.

„Iako je u istraživanju niz metodoloških problema i pitanja, poput medijana dobi ispitanika od samo 40 godina, ovi rezultati su jako obećavajući, jer omogućuju sve bolje razumijevanje dinamike bolesti. Treba naglasiti da prirodno zaražavanje i dalje predstavlja nepouzdan i rizičan način stjecanja imuniteta te da je cijepljenje puno učinkovitiji način postizanja zadovoljavajućeg i dovoljno proširenog imunološkog odgovora – kazao je za 'Slobodnu' prof. Polašek.
U objavljenoj studiji se navodi kako je IgG (vrsta antitijela) na protein šiljka bio relativno stabilan i nakon više od šest mjeseci. Promatrajući imunološki odgovor sve tri grane adaptivnog imuniteta na koronavirus znanstvenici su primijetili da se svaka komponenta imunološkog pamćenja virusa SARS-CoV-2 različito ponaša.
Prijašnje studije bolesnika s COVID-om ukazale su da se reakcije T-stanica mogu povezati sa slabijom bolešću, što sugerira da odgovor CD4+ i CD8+ T-stanica može biti važan za kontrolu i rješavanje primarne infekcije virusom SARS-CoV-2.

Pitanje trajanja imuniteta nakon što osoba preboli COVID-19 ili dobije cjepivo, jedno je od najvažnijih u ovoj pandemiji, a najnovija studija objavljena u uglednom časopisu Science, donosi nam optimistične vijesti.
Dosadašnja istraživanja utvrdila su, naime, kako su osobe koje su preboljele koronavirus otporne na mogućnost nove zaraze od najmanje tri pa do šest mjeseci, a studija objavljena u Sciencu, pokazuje da imunitet na SARS-CoV-2 može trajati osam mjeseci te da nije isključena ni mogućost trajnog imuniteta na sekundarni Covid-19.
Kao što znamo, imunološko pamćenje, kao posljedica primarne infekcije ili imunizacije, izvor je zaštitnog imuniteta od naknadne infekcije, a znanstvenici su imunološki odgovor sve tri grane adaptivnog imuniteta na koronavirus (CD4 + T stanica, CD8 + T stanica i humoralni imunitet) procijenili u studiji analizirajući podatke 188 ljudi oporavljenih od korone.
Grupa znanstvenika predvođenih istraživačima s La Jolla Instituta za imunologiju analizirala je 254 uzorka od 188 pacijenata, od čega su 43 uzorka uzeta najmanje šest mjeseci nakon infekcije.
Među ispitanicima je bilo 80 muškaraca i 108 žena, kao i osoba s raznim simptomima bolesti, od onih asimptomatskih, preko blagih i umjerenih, pa sve do najtežih slučajeva COVID-a.
Iz njihove studije proizlazi da se pet do osam mjeseci nakon pojave simptoma, imunološka memorija u najmanje tri imunološka odjeljka može pronaći kod oko 95 posto ispitanika, što znači da postoji mogućnost trajnog imuniteta na drugu zarazu COVID-om kod većine osoba.
Profesor na Medicinskom fakultetu u Splitu i član Vladina Znanstvenog savjeta za borbu protiv koronavirusa, prof. dr. Ozren Polašek pojašnjava kako su u ovom istraživanju uspoređeni rezultati nekoliko odjeljaka imunološkog sustava, koji su pokazali da je imunološki odgovor na zaražavanje kod istraživanih osoba trajao duže od očekivanja, i to do osam mjeseci za pojedine imunološke mehanizme.

„Iako je u istraživanju niz metodoloških problema i pitanja, poput medijana dobi ispitanika od samo 40 godina, ovi rezultati su jako obećavajući, jer omogućuju sve bolje razumijevanje dinamike bolesti. Treba naglasiti da prirodno zaražavanje i dalje predstavlja nepouzdan i rizičan način stjecanja imuniteta te da je cijepljenje puno učinkovitiji način postizanja zadovoljavajućeg i dovoljno proširenog imunološkog odgovora – kazao je za 'Slobodnu' prof. Polašek.
U objavljenoj studiji se navodi kako je IgG (vrsta antitijela) na protein šiljka bio relativno stabilan i nakon više od šest mjeseci. Promatrajući imunološki odgovor sve tri grane adaptivnog imuniteta na koronavirus znanstvenici su primijetili da se svaka komponenta imunološkog pamćenja virusa SARS-CoV-2 različito ponaša.
Prijašnje studije bolesnika s COVID-om ukazale su da se reakcije T-stanica mogu povezati sa slabijom bolešću, što sugerira da odgovor CD4+ i CD8+ T-stanica može biti važan za kontrolu i rješavanje primarne infekcije virusom SARS-CoV-2.
