Manchesterska policija optužila je Mohammeda Jamala (37) nakon što je jedan od stanovnika Rochdalea snimio njega i žensku osobu na stražnjem sjedalu Mohammedovog taksija. Snimka koja se proširila društvenim mrežama prikazuje vozača Ubera spuštenih hlača koji je nakon dolaska muškarca u panici navukao hlače i otišao, prenosi Daily Mail .
Vozač taksija suočio se sa stanovnikom Rochdalea koji ga je oko 21 sata na Uskrs vidio ispred kuće. Odmah je upalio kameru i snimio scenu u kojoj kuca po prozoru nakon čega je vozač podiže trenirku, a žena koja je klečala na stražnjem sjedalu pokušava prekriti lice, piše Jutarnji list .
- Brate, što radiš? U mjesecu ramazana radiš ovakve stvari? Ovo je odvratno. Djeca su mi ovdje, rekao je muškarac.
Vozač Ubera ponavljao je da mu je žao, izašao je iz auta, sjeo na vozačko mjesto i odvezao se. Policijski glasnogovornik potvrdio je da je muškarac pronađen i optužen nakon što je pregledana snimka.
- Mohammed Jamal je pušten uz jamčevinu prije pojavljivanja na prekršajnom sudu 4. svibnja. Optužba se odnosi na incident s odraslom ženom u taksiju u ulici Thames u nedjelju, rekao je glasnogovornik.
Nakon objave snimke, Uber je vozaču zabranio daljnji prijevoz putnika. Glasnogovornik Ubera poručio je da su užasnuti situacijom te da surađuju s policijom.
- Ovo je stvarno zabrinjavajuća snimka i nužna je brza istraga. Zaštita mladih je najvažnija zbog čega ovu snimku treba dodatno istražiti kako bi se umirila javnost i zaštitila ta ranjiva skupina, rekao je laburistički zastupnik Tony Lloyd za MailOnline.
Uber je pokušavao poboljšati svoju reputaciju nakon što se 2018. godine pokazalo da je više od 2500 vozača pod istragom zbog sumnje na kaznena djela, uključujući sekusalna napastovanja, uhođenja i opasnu vožnju. Uber je tad obećao napraviti niz promjena uključujući ograničavanja broja sati, 24/7 telefonsku podršku za putnike i vozače kao i prijavu ozbiljnih incidenata manchesterskoj policiji.

Manchesterska policija optužila je Mohammeda Jamala (37) nakon što je jedan od stanovnika Rochdalea snimio njega i žensku osobu na stražnjem sjedalu Mohammedovog taksija. Snimka koja se proširila društvenim mrežama prikazuje vozača Ubera spuštenih hlača koji je nakon dolaska muškarca u panici navukao hlače i otišao, prenosi Daily Mail .
Vozač taksija suočio se sa stanovnikom Rochdalea koji ga je oko 21 sata na Uskrs vidio ispred kuće. Odmah je upalio kameru i snimio scenu u kojoj kuca po prozoru nakon čega je vozač podiže trenirku, a žena koja je klečala na stražnjem sjedalu pokušava prekriti lice, piše Jutarnji list .
- Brate, što radiš? U mjesecu ramazana radiš ovakve stvari? Ovo je odvratno. Djeca su mi ovdje, rekao je muškarac.
Vozač Ubera ponavljao je da mu je žao, izašao je iz auta, sjeo na vozačko mjesto i odvezao se. Policijski glasnogovornik potvrdio je da je muškarac pronađen i optužen nakon što je pregledana snimka.
- Mohammed Jamal je pušten uz jamčevinu prije pojavljivanja na prekršajnom sudu 4. svibnja. Optužba se odnosi na incident s odraslom ženom u taksiju u ulici Thames u nedjelju, rekao je glasnogovornik.
Nakon objave snimke, Uber je vozaču zabranio daljnji prijevoz putnika. Glasnogovornik Ubera poručio je da su užasnuti situacijom te da surađuju s policijom.
- Ovo je stvarno zabrinjavajuća snimka i nužna je brza istraga. Zaštita mladih je najvažnija zbog čega ovu snimku treba dodatno istražiti kako bi se umirila javnost i zaštitila ta ranjiva skupina, rekao je laburistički zastupnik Tony Lloyd za MailOnline.
Uber je pokušavao poboljšati svoju reputaciju nakon što se 2018. godine pokazalo da je više od 2500 vozača pod istragom zbog sumnje na kaznena djela, uključujući sekusalna napastovanja, uhođenja i opasnu vožnju. Uber je tad obećao napraviti niz promjena uključujući ograničavanja broja sati, 24/7 telefonsku podršku za putnike i vozače kao i prijavu ozbiljnih incidenata manchesterskoj policiji.
