Europski i kanadski znanstvenici možda su pronašli objašnjenje rijetkih, ali ozbiljnih pojava krvnih ugrušaka kod nekih ljudi cijepljenih cjepivom AstraZenece protiv koronavirusa, piše britanska agencija Reuters.

Vjeruju da je fenomen sličan onome koji se rijetko događa uz lijek heparin za 'razrjeđivanje' krvi, poznatom kao trombocitopenija izazvana heparinom (HIT).

U tom obliku trombocitopenije lijek pokreće imuni sustav na proizvodnju antitijela koja aktiviraju trombocite koji inače izazivaju zgrušavanje krvi.

I drugi lijekovi osim heparina također mogu izazvati poremećaje zgrušavanja koji vrlo nalikuju HIT-u i znanstvenici misle da u rijetkim slučajevima i cjepivo AstraZenece može biti takav 'okidač'.

Kod četiri prethodno zdrave osobe koje su primile AstraZenecino cjepivo razvili su se potencijalno smrtonosni ugrušci, a imali su isti vrstu antitijela koja aktiviraju trombocite i pokreću stvaranje ugrušaka u trombocitopeniji izazvanoj heparinom, napisali su njemački, austrijski i kanadski znanstvenici u radu ubjavljenom u ponedjeljak na Research Square.

Rad nije prošao znanstvenu recenziju.

Dvadeset cijepljenih osoba koje nisu razvile ugruške nisu imale takva antitijela.

U komentaru objavljenom uz istraživanje napominje se da se trombocitopenija izazvana lijekovima može liječiti ako se točno dijagnosticira.

Milijuni ljudi primili su bez ikakvih problema cjepivo i europski regulatori i Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija objavili su da koristi od AstraZenecina cjepiva nadmašuju rizike.

Europski i kanadski znanstvenici možda su pronašli objašnjenje rijetkih, ali ozbiljnih pojava krvnih ugrušaka kod nekih ljudi cijepljenih cjepivom AstraZenece protiv koronavirusa, piše britanska agencija Reuters.

Vjeruju da je fenomen sličan onome koji se rijetko događa uz lijek heparin za 'razrjeđivanje' krvi, poznatom kao trombocitopenija izazvana heparinom (HIT).

U tom obliku trombocitopenije lijek pokreće imuni sustav na proizvodnju antitijela koja aktiviraju trombocite koji inače izazivaju zgrušavanje krvi.

I drugi lijekovi osim heparina također mogu izazvati poremećaje zgrušavanja koji vrlo nalikuju HIT-u i znanstvenici misle da u rijetkim slučajevima i cjepivo AstraZenece može biti takav 'okidač'.

Kod četiri prethodno zdrave osobe koje su primile AstraZenecino cjepivo razvili su se potencijalno smrtonosni ugrušci, a imali su isti vrstu antitijela koja aktiviraju trombocite i pokreću stvaranje ugrušaka u trombocitopeniji izazvanoj heparinom, napisali su njemački, austrijski i kanadski znanstvenici u radu ubjavljenom u ponedjeljak na Research Square.

Rad nije prošao znanstvenu recenziju.

Dvadeset cijepljenih osoba koje nisu razvile ugruške nisu imale takva antitijela.

U komentaru objavljenom uz istraživanje napominje se da se trombocitopenija izazvana lijekovima može liječiti ako se točno dijagnosticira.

Milijuni ljudi primili su bez ikakvih problema cjepivo i europski regulatori i Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija objavili su da koristi od AstraZenecina cjepiva nadmašuju rizike.

Europski i kanadski znanstvenici možda su pronašli objašnjenje rijetkih, ali ozbiljnih pojava krvnih ugrušaka kod nekih ljudi cijepljenih cjepivom AstraZenece protiv koronavirusa, piše britanska agencija Reuters.

Vjeruju da je fenomen sličan onome koji se rijetko događa uz lijek heparin za 'razrjeđivanje' krvi, poznatom kao trombocitopenija izazvana heparinom (HIT).

U tom obliku trombocitopenije lijek pokreće imuni sustav na proizvodnju antitijela koja aktiviraju trombocite koji inače izazivaju zgrušavanje krvi.

I drugi lijekovi osim heparina također mogu izazvati poremećaje zgrušavanja koji vrlo nalikuju HIT-u i znanstvenici misle da u rijetkim slučajevima i cjepivo AstraZenece može biti takav 'okidač'.
