Svjedoci tvrde da ih je bilo četiri tisuće. Što domobrana, što vermahtovih vojnika, uglavnom Folksdojčera iz tzv. Plave divizije.
Uhvaćeni su u povlačenju prema austrijskoj granici. I koncem svibnja 1945. pobijeni na širem području Brdovca, u nizu sela protegnutih kada se od Zaprešića krene prema slovenskoj granici.
Strijeljanja su trajala tri dana. Nitko sa sigurnošću ne može reći koje su točno partizanske jedinice počinile zločin. Mještanima je, naime, strogo bilo naređeno da ne izlaze iz kuća. Leševe ubijenih vidjeli su poslije, kada su partizani otišli.

- Dovodili su ih u grupama od po četiri ili šest. Bili su goli. Najprije su ih skinuli, a onda vezali žicom i tako vodili na likvidaciju. Zarobljenike su dovodili predvečer, a smaknuća su bila noću. Svi u selu morali su biti u kući. Nije se smjelo paliti svjetlo, niti se smjelo izlaziti. U kuće koje su bile bliže nasipu dopirali su jauci. Dozivali su djecu, svoje žene, jaukali... Cijelim selom odzvanjali su rafali - ispričao je svojedobno za Večernji list Pavao Kutarčić iz Ključa Brdovečkog. U to je doba imao 15 godina.
Uprava za zatočene i nestale Ministarstva hrvatskih branitelja objavila je u ponedjeljak da je koncem siječnja provela terensko istraživanje na preko 2400 četvornih metara u tom kraju te da je na lokaciji Prudnice u općini Brdovec pronašla posmrtne ostatke žrtava Drugog svjetskog rata i poslijeratnog razdoblja. Kada vremenski uvjeti postanu pogodniji, poručili su u Ministarstvu branitelja, krenut će se s drugom fazom: ekskumacijom posmrtnih ostataka.

Prema prvim informacijama, tamo bi se moglo nalaziti između 200 i 300 tijela ubijenih pripadnika poražene vojske nakon Drugog svjetskog rata.
Ministarstvo branitelja priopćilo je da su tijekom terenskog istraživanja kroz razgovor s mještanima prikupljena dodatna saznanja o grobištima na području općine Brdovec. To je inače bio kraj u kojemu tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata praktički nije ispaljen ni metak. Njihova apokalipsa počinje u danima kada je rat završio.
- Nakon što su ih pobili, partizani su samo otišli. Sjećam se glava, ruku, nogu koje su virile iz zemlje. Morali smo ih pokopavati. Sjećam se da su u jednu jamu pobacali toliko leševa da se nije mogla zatrpati, pa su se mrtva tijela morala prebacivati u drugu - ispričao je jedan svjedok.
U brdovečkom kraju u tim danima nije bilo puno muškaraca. Većina ih je bila mobilizirana u domobrane, pa su u selima ostali žene i djeca. Lipanj je te 1945. bio izuzetno vruć.
- Doslovce je kipjelo iz tih grobnica. Krv je izlazila iz zemlje, a žene su dolazile i motikama zgrtale zemlju preko te krvi ne bi li je prekrile - ispričao je drugi svjedok.

U selu su prikupili živo vapno. Polijevali su ga preko tijela kako bi spriječili smrad i širenje zaraze. Na listi partizanskih zločina u okolici Zagreba koju su objavljivali desničarski portali u općini Brdovec se navode 10 lokacija masovnih grobnica: u šumi Janekovićevo, na brdovečkom groblju, u Ključanskoj Gmajni, Hercegovu, kod Rasadnika, u Javorju, u Ključu Brdovečkom, Prudnicama, u Pancer grabi i u Šenkovcu.
Za Prudnice se navodi okvirna brojka od oko tisuću žrtava.

Svjedoci tvrde da ih je bilo četiri tisuće. Što domobrana, što vermahtovih vojnika, uglavnom Folksdojčera iz tzv. Plave divizije.
Uhvaćeni su u povlačenju prema austrijskoj granici. I koncem svibnja 1945. pobijeni na širem području Brdovca, u nizu sela protegnutih kada se od Zaprešića krene prema slovenskoj granici.
Strijeljanja su trajala tri dana. Nitko sa sigurnošću ne može reći koje su točno partizanske jedinice počinile zločin. Mještanima je, naime, strogo bilo naređeno da ne izlaze iz kuća. Leševe ubijenih vidjeli su poslije, kada su partizani otišli.

- Dovodili su ih u grupama od po četiri ili šest. Bili su goli. Najprije su ih skinuli, a onda vezali žicom i tako vodili na likvidaciju. Zarobljenike su dovodili predvečer, a smaknuća su bila noću. Svi u selu morali su biti u kući. Nije se smjelo paliti svjetlo, niti se smjelo izlaziti. U kuće koje su bile bliže nasipu dopirali su jauci. Dozivali su djecu, svoje žene, jaukali... Cijelim selom odzvanjali su rafali - ispričao je svojedobno za Večernji list Pavao Kutarčić iz Ključa Brdovečkog. U to je doba imao 15 godina.
Uprava za zatočene i nestale Ministarstva hrvatskih branitelja objavila je u ponedjeljak da je koncem siječnja provela terensko istraživanje na preko 2400 četvornih metara u tom kraju te da je na lokaciji Prudnice u općini Brdovec pronašla posmrtne ostatke žrtava Drugog svjetskog rata i poslijeratnog razdoblja. Kada vremenski uvjeti postanu pogodniji, poručili su u Ministarstvu branitelja, krenut će se s drugom fazom: ekskumacijom posmrtnih ostataka.

Prema prvim informacijama, tamo bi se moglo nalaziti između 200 i 300 tijela ubijenih pripadnika poražene vojske nakon Drugog svjetskog rata.
Ministarstvo branitelja priopćilo je da su tijekom terenskog istraživanja kroz razgovor s mještanima prikupljena dodatna saznanja o grobištima na području općine Brdovec. To je inače bio kraj u kojemu tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata praktički nije ispaljen ni metak. Njihova apokalipsa počinje u danima kada je rat završio.
- Nakon što su ih pobili, partizani su samo otišli. Sjećam se glava, ruku, nogu koje su virile iz zemlje. Morali smo ih pokopavati. Sjećam se da su u jednu jamu pobacali toliko leševa da se nije mogla zatrpati, pa su se mrtva tijela morala prebacivati u drugu - ispričao je jedan svjedok.
U brdovečkom kraju u tim danima nije bilo puno muškaraca. Većina ih je bila mobilizirana u domobrane, pa su u selima ostali žene i djeca. Lipanj je te 1945. bio izuzetno vruć.
- Doslovce je kipjelo iz tih grobnica. Krv je izlazila iz zemlje, a žene su dolazile i motikama zgrtale zemlju preko te krvi ne bi li je prekrile - ispričao je drugi svjedok.

U selu su prikupili živo vapno. Polijevali su ga preko tijela kako bi spriječili smrad i širenje zaraze. Na listi partizanskih zločina u okolici Zagreba koju su objavljivali desničarski portali u općini Brdovec se navode 10 lokacija masovnih grobnica: u šumi Janekovićevo, na brdovečkom groblju, u Ključanskoj Gmajni, Hercegovu, kod Rasadnika, u Javorju, u Ključu Brdovečkom, Prudnicama, u Pancer grabi i u Šenkovcu.
Za Prudnice se navodi okvirna brojka od oko tisuću žrtava.
