Kao i za sve potrese na našem području, pa tako i za jučerašnji snage 4.6 prema Richteru koji je imao epicentar na granici Hrvatske s BiH kod Buškoga jezera, krivac je Jadranska mikroploča.

“Ona je produžetak Afričke ploče i stiješnjena je u odnosu na Euroazijsku te se podvlači pod Dinaride, uzduž Dalmacije. Aktivnost te ploče pokreće rasjede, i to je nešto što se zbiva svakodnevno, samo je pitanje koliko se energije, pojednostavljeno rečeno, nakupilo na pojedinim rasjedima i u kojoj mjeri oni to mogu zadržati ili moraju otpustiti vani u obliku potresa“, kaže seizmolog Tomislav Fiket za "Slobodnu Dalmaciju". 

Noćas je zabilježeno više od pedesetak naknadnih manjih potresa. "Aktivnost tla se nastavila, to je očekivano nakon većeg potresa. Od naknadnih potresa najjači je bio magnitude 3.0 po Richteru, nekoliko ih je bilo 2,6, a sve drugo je bilo daleko ispod 2. Nadam se da su ljudi ipak uspjeli mirno odspavati noć, jer takve naknadne slabe potrese ne bi trebali osjetiti - ističe seizmolog.

Poznato je i kako je upravo područje Dalmacije među najtrusnijim u Hrvatskoj, a posebice se to odnosi na Dubrovnik i njegovu okolicu. Najjači potresi događaju se na područjima u blizini dodira različitih ploča, ali taj utjecaj nije ograničen samo na te uske zone već se djelomice prenosi i na širu regiju.

- Potresna je opasnost najveća oko dubrovačkog područja gdje su mogući jači potresi magnitude do 7.0 prema Richteru. U ostatku Dalmacije, i cijeloj Hrvatskoj, za tako jak potres je vjerojatnost minimalna - naglašava Fiket. Najjači potres kojega bilježe naše povijesne knjige je onaj iz 1667. kad se šestoga travnja golemo kamenje kotrljalo sa Srđa na Dubrovnik rušeći sve pred sobom. Na moru se pojavio tsunami koji je potapao brodove u gradskoj luci, a na kraju je sve dokrajčio strašan požar koji je bjesnio danima. Na temelju zapisa je rekonstruirano kako je taj potres bio jak oko 7.6 stupnjeva po Richteru.

Najmirnije u Istri i Slavoniji 

Seizmički je najmirnije stanje u Istri, na kvarnerskim otocima te na istoku zemlje uz granicu prema Srbiji. Seizmički rizik pak ovisi o više stvari kao što su način gradnje, gustoća naseljenosti, vrsta tla..., s time da stručnjaci tvrde kako tlo u Dalmaciji bolje amortizira potrese nego na kontinentu. U Dalmaciji je teren krški pa rjeđe dolazi do amplifikacije trešnje. Međutim, to pojačanje trešnje se može dogoditi u poljima kao što je Sinjsko i Livanjsko gdje postoji i sloj sedimenata. Upravo je Sinjsko polje područje u kojem počinje povećana opasnost od jačih potresa i ide preko Imotskoga do Dubrovnika.

Ponekad pak dojam snage potresa prevari. Nekad slabiji potres, na nekim područjima osjetimo kroz jaču trešnju pa pomislimo da je bio puno jači.  

- I dubina potresa utječe na doživljaj i sam intenzitet trešnje na površini. Što je potres plići, to je trešnja izrazitija jer se energija izravno manifestira na površini i ne potroši se na putu prema njoj. Osjećaj jačeg ljuljanja u Splitu sinoć, vjerojatno je dijelom bio i zbog toga što su tu više zgrade. One su projektirane da izdrže trešnju i preko 7 stupnjeva, tako da ne bi trebalo biti bojazni niti strukturalnih oštećenja objekata – tumači seizmolog.

Nakon velikih potresa, postoji i opasnost od razornih valovi koji mogu dosegnuti i nekoliko stotina metara. No, za tako nešto u Hrvatskoj, kaže seizmolog, nema opasnosti. U našoj povijesti zapisano je nekoliko tsunamija, no oni nisu imali značajne amplitude ni razornu moć. Kod nas veće valove izazove jugo nego tsunami.

- Za tsunami je potrebno ne samo da se dogodi potres na morskome dnu, nego se dno mora pomaknuti prema dolje ili prema gore kako bi se digla voda koja bi u obliku velikog vala krenula prema obali. To se kod nas ne očekuje, s te strane imamo sreće – veli nam Tomislav Fiket.

Problem u potresu je stara povijesna gradnja, koje imamo jako puno.

"To su materijali koje je i zub vremena oslabio, i oni nažalost teško podnose jače potrese, napominje Fiket, a to potvrđuju i fotografije naših fotoreportera. Seizmički rizik veći je u zemljama u kojima su jaki potresi rijetkost zbog neprilagođene gradnje i nedostatka spoznaja kako se ponašati za vrijeme potresa. Ovo potonje kod nas zadnjih godina nikako nije slučaj, zbog učestalosti potresa već se pomalo osjećamo kao Japanci.

Kao i za sve potrese na našem području, pa tako i za jučerašnji snage 4.6 prema Richteru koji je imao epicentar na granici Hrvatske s BiH kod Buškoga jezera, krivac je Jadranska mikroploča.

“Ona je produžetak Afričke ploče i stiješnjena je u odnosu na Euroazijsku te se podvlači pod Dinaride, uzduž Dalmacije. Aktivnost te ploče pokreće rasjede, i to je nešto što se zbiva svakodnevno, samo je pitanje koliko se energije, pojednostavljeno rečeno, nakupilo na pojedinim rasjedima i u kojoj mjeri oni to mogu zadržati ili moraju otpustiti vani u obliku potresa“, kaže seizmolog Tomislav Fiket za "Slobodnu Dalmaciju". 

Noćas je zabilježeno više od pedesetak naknadnih manjih potresa. "Aktivnost tla se nastavila, to je očekivano nakon većeg potresa. Od naknadnih potresa najjači je bio magnitude 3.0 po Richteru, nekoliko ih je bilo 2,6, a sve drugo je bilo daleko ispod 2. Nadam se da su ljudi ipak uspjeli mirno odspavati noć, jer takve naknadne slabe potrese ne bi trebali osjetiti - ističe seizmolog.

Poznato je i kako je upravo područje Dalmacije među najtrusnijim u Hrvatskoj, a posebice se to odnosi na Dubrovnik i njegovu okolicu. Najjači potresi događaju se na područjima u blizini dodira različitih ploča, ali taj utjecaj nije ograničen samo na te uske zone već se djelomice prenosi i na širu regiju.

- Potresna je opasnost najveća oko dubrovačkog područja gdje su mogući jači potresi magnitude do 7.0 prema Richteru. U ostatku Dalmacije, i cijeloj Hrvatskoj, za tako jak potres je vjerojatnost minimalna - naglašava Fiket. Najjači potres kojega bilježe naše povijesne knjige je onaj iz 1667. kad se šestoga travnja golemo kamenje kotrljalo sa Srđa na Dubrovnik rušeći sve pred sobom. Na moru se pojavio tsunami koji je potapao brodove u gradskoj luci, a na kraju je sve dokrajčio strašan požar koji je bjesnio danima. Na temelju zapisa je rekonstruirano kako je taj potres bio jak oko 7.6 stupnjeva po Richteru.

Najmirnije u Istri i Slavoniji 

Seizmički je najmirnije stanje u Istri, na kvarnerskim otocima te na istoku zemlje uz granicu prema Srbiji. Seizmički rizik pak ovisi o više stvari kao što su način gradnje, gustoća naseljenosti, vrsta tla..., s time da stručnjaci tvrde kako tlo u Dalmaciji bolje amortizira potrese nego na kontinentu. U Dalmaciji je teren krški pa rjeđe dolazi do amplifikacije trešnje. Međutim, to pojačanje trešnje se može dogoditi u poljima kao što je Sinjsko i Livanjsko gdje postoji i sloj sedimenata. Upravo je Sinjsko polje područje u kojem počinje povećana opasnost od jačih potresa i ide preko Imotskoga do Dubrovnika.

Ponekad pak dojam snage potresa prevari. Nekad slabiji potres, na nekim područjima osjetimo kroz jaču trešnju pa pomislimo da je bio puno jači.  

- I dubina potresa utječe na doživljaj i sam intenzitet trešnje na površini. Što je potres plići, to je trešnja izrazitija jer se energija izravno manifestira na površini i ne potroši se na putu prema njoj. Osjećaj jačeg ljuljanja u Splitu sinoć, vjerojatno je dijelom bio i zbog toga što su tu više zgrade. One su projektirane da izdrže trešnju i preko 7 stupnjeva, tako da ne bi trebalo biti bojazni niti strukturalnih oštećenja objekata – tumači seizmolog.

Nakon velikih potresa, postoji i opasnost od razornih valovi koji mogu dosegnuti i nekoliko stotina metara. No, za tako nešto u Hrvatskoj, kaže seizmolog, nema opasnosti. U našoj povijesti zapisano je nekoliko tsunamija, no oni nisu imali značajne amplitude ni razornu moć. Kod nas veće valove izazove jugo nego tsunami.

- Za tsunami je potrebno ne samo da se dogodi potres na morskome dnu, nego se dno mora pomaknuti prema dolje ili prema gore kako bi se digla voda koja bi u obliku velikog vala krenula prema obali. To se kod nas ne očekuje, s te strane imamo sreće – veli nam Tomislav Fiket.

Problem u potresu je stara povijesna gradnja, koje imamo jako puno.

"To su materijali koje je i zub vremena oslabio, i oni nažalost teško podnose jače potrese, napominje Fiket, a to potvrđuju i fotografije naših fotoreportera. Seizmički rizik veći je u zemljama u kojima su jaki potresi rijetkost zbog neprilagođene gradnje i nedostatka spoznaja kako se ponašati za vrijeme potresa. Ovo potonje kod nas zadnjih godina nikako nije slučaj, zbog učestalosti potresa već se pomalo osjećamo kao Japanci.
