Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mbappe, Benzema? – vjerojatno bi se većina zaklela da će netko od njih obilježiti prvo kolo Lige prvaka. Od navedenih je zabio tek Portugalac, no ni to nije spasilo poraza njegov Manchester United.
Zabio je zato, i to četiri puta, Ajaxov Sebastien Haller pokupivši lovorike. Nizozemci su na krilima neumoljivog napadača Obale Bjelokosti s 5:1 „isprašili“ Sporting. Haller se tako upisao u povijesne knjige Lige prvaka.
Postao je 14. igrač u povijesti ovog natjecanja koji je na jednog utakmici uspio zabiti četiri puta, a tek drugi koji je to učinio na svom debiju među europskom elitom. Takav podvig za nogom je pošao još samo legendarnom Marcu van Bastenu.
Evo još malo statistike. Haller je protiv Sportinga uputio više udaraca u okvir gola od Messija, Neymara i Mbappea zajedno. Prema nesretnom vrataru Adanu „tukao“ je pet puta, matiravši ga u četiri navrata.
Samo godinu dana ranije, situacija za 27-godišnjeg napadača nije izgledala ni izbliza obećavajuće. Engleski West Ham ga je u ljeto 2019. godine doveo iz njemačkog Eintrachta za čak 50 milijuna eura. Do danas je to ostao rekordni iznos koji su „čekićari“ platili za nekog igrača. Međutim, Haller se na „otoku“ nije snašao. U 50 nastupa, skupio je 14 golova čime nije opravdao uloženi novac. Trener David Moyes odlučio mu se zahvaliti uvrstivši ga na transfer-listu.
Nije trebalo dugo čekati da netko „zagrize“. Najjače je to napravio Ajax te ga za nešto više od 22 milijuna doveo u Amsterdam. West je Ham je izgubio više od polovice uloženog...
Međutim, ni tu nije bio kraj mukama stasitog centarfora. Njegov novi klub ga je prošle sezone greškom zaboravio registrirati za ‘knockout’ fazu Europske lige, stoga je Bjelokošćanin prolazak protiv Young Boysa i ispadanje od Rome u četvrtfinalu odgledao s tribina. Dešava se i najboljima, čini se.
Isti propust Ajaxova administracija nije ponovila ovog puta te je Haller debitirao u Ligi prvaka. I to kako...
U redovima nizozemskog velikana pronašao je pravu formu. Prošle sezone je u 23 nastupa postigao 13 pogodaka, a ovu je otvorio furiozno. Nakon četiri kola u Eredivisie prvi je strijelac lige s isto toliko golova. U posljednje tri utakmice mrežu je zatresao čak osam puta. Uz četiri „komada“ Sportingu, dvaput je zabio prošlog vikenda protiv Zwollea, a isto toliko i u posljednjoj utakmici za Obalu Bjelokosti u 2:1 slavlju nad Kamerunom. Jedno je sigurno, Sebastiena više nikad nitko neće zaboraviti uvrstiti na popis... ∙

Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mbappe, Benzema? – vjerojatno bi se većina zaklela da će netko od njih obilježiti prvo kolo Lige prvaka. Od navedenih je zabio tek Portugalac, no ni to nije spasilo poraza njegov Manchester United.
Zabio je zato, i to četiri puta, Ajaxov Sebastien Haller pokupivši lovorike. Nizozemci su na krilima neumoljivog napadača Obale Bjelokosti s 5:1 „isprašili“ Sporting. Haller se tako upisao u povijesne knjige Lige prvaka.
Postao je 14. igrač u povijesti ovog natjecanja koji je na jednog utakmici uspio zabiti četiri puta, a tek drugi koji je to učinio na svom debiju među europskom elitom. Takav podvig za nogom je pošao još samo legendarnom Marcu van Bastenu.
Evo još malo statistike. Haller je protiv Sportinga uputio više udaraca u okvir gola od Messija, Neymara i Mbappea zajedno. Prema nesretnom vrataru Adanu „tukao“ je pet puta, matiravši ga u četiri navrata.
Samo godinu dana ranije, situacija za 27-godišnjeg napadača nije izgledala ni izbliza obećavajuće. Engleski West Ham ga je u ljeto 2019. godine doveo iz njemačkog Eintrachta za čak 50 milijuna eura. Do danas je to ostao rekordni iznos koji su „čekićari“ platili za nekog igrača. Međutim, Haller se na „otoku“ nije snašao. U 50 nastupa, skupio je 14 golova čime nije opravdao uloženi novac. Trener David Moyes odlučio mu se zahvaliti uvrstivši ga na transfer-listu.
Nije trebalo dugo čekati da netko „zagrize“. Najjače je to napravio Ajax te ga za nešto više od 22 milijuna doveo u Amsterdam. West je Ham je izgubio više od polovice uloženog...
Međutim, ni tu nije bio kraj mukama stasitog centarfora. Njegov novi klub ga je prošle sezone greškom zaboravio registrirati za ‘knockout’ fazu Europske lige, stoga je Bjelokošćanin prolazak protiv Young Boysa i ispadanje od Rome u četvrtfinalu odgledao s tribina. Dešava se i najboljima, čini se.
Isti propust Ajaxova administracija nije ponovila ovog puta te je Haller debitirao u Ligi prvaka. I to kako...
U redovima nizozemskog velikana pronašao je pravu formu. Prošle sezone je u 23 nastupa postigao 13 pogodaka, a ovu je otvorio furiozno.
