Hrvatski ragbijaši ostvarili su povijesni uspjeh u Izraelu, posebno mjesto u kolektivnoj i osobnoj memoriji čuvat će za kibuc Jizre'el u kojem su u subotu pobjedom nad domaćom momčadi rezultatom 27-19 ostvarili plasman u višu diviziju Europskog kupa nacija, pišu Sportske novosti.

Od sljedećeg ciklusa natjecanja nema više putovanja u Izrael, nema više Malte, nema Cipra, nema više egzotike (neki će reći, nažalost); gostujuće destinacije će im ubuduće biti puno bliže u Europi, odsad će se umjesto u trećoj europskoj jakosnoj skupni "Conference 1" natjecati u diviziji "Trophy" čime su u ušli u društvo momčadi kao što su Belgija, Poljska, Njemačka, Ukrajina Litva, Poljska.

Ključni za veliki uspjeh i važnu pobjedu kojom su ostvareni snovi generacija naših ragbijaških amatera pokazala velika želja i borbenost kojima su ostvareni bodovi za osvajanje prvog mjesta u skupini. Ključno je prije svega bilo veliko srce svih naših igrača koji su u subotu istračali na novoizgrađeni teren ragbi kluba Jizre'el koji je kolijevka ovog sporta u ovoj bliskoistočnoj zemlji. "Krstili" su ga naši ragbijaši na najbolji mogući način jer su novim bodovima pobjegli na nedostižnu prednost u skupini koju u nastavku natjecanja ne mogu doseći Izraelci, ali niti Maltežani, koje su naši teškom mukom prije osam dana pobijedili u Zagrebu. Ciklus su naši srčani mladići zaključili s četiri pobjede.

Izbornik Anthony Poša je večer uoči utakmice tijekom uobičajene ceremonije podjele dresova održao emotivan i stimulirirajući govor namjerno ponovivši najmanje 20 puta sintagmu "this is little bit different". I istina je - ovo je bilo malo drugačije od svega dosad, od svih pobjeda i poraza, od svih dosadašnjih muka.

Tri su desetljeća hrvatski ragbijaši pokušavali napraviti ovaj pomak, nisu to uspjeli niti u godinama kad su u svojim redovima imali i do 50 posto vrhunskih igrača, potomaka naših iseljenika s Novog Zelanda gdje je ragbi religija i način života. A uspjeli su to sada kad su u reprezentaciji uglavnom domaći igrači iz Splita, Zagreba i Sinja. Bravo za naše dečke, imaju na što biti ponosni ti mladići koji dres s državnih grbom nose amaterski i iz čiste i nepatvorene ljubavi.

Utakmica je očekivano bila tvrda, puna preokreta i drame jer je i domaćin želio pobijediti i izboriti viši rang. Poveli su Izraelci 7-0 nakon polaganja i pretvaranja. Ilija Biškić je nakon jednog nesportskog sudara dugo ostao ležati na travi, ali se uspio vratiti u igru poslije čega su naši borbeni igrači uspjeli izjednačiti polaganjem Nike Vraneševića i pretvaranjem Nika Jurišića. Naš je kapetan nakon toga donio prednost iz kaznenog udarca (7-10), a zatim je solo prodorom i novim pretvaranjem početni minus odveo u prednost 15-7. Suparnici se nisu predavali, opet su okrenuli rezultat (19-15).

Unatoč boljoj igri izabranika Anthonyja Poše, nervoza je činila svoje i borbeni su Izraelci slomljeni tek u završnici. Prvo je iznimno raspoloženi Ivan Josip Kordun probio liniju iz bliske udaljenosti, da bi bi nakon konstantnog pritiska Hrvatske Perica zaključio pobjedu i osigurao ekstra bonus poen.

- Iznimno sam ponosan, uspjeli smo ovo odraditi sad kad sam već pri kraju karijere, za ovo smo svi skupa živjeli, rekao je NIk Jurišić.

Hrvatski ragbijaši ostvarili su povijesni uspjeh u Izraelu, posebno mjesto u kolektivnoj i osobnoj memoriji čuvat će za kibuc Jizre'el u kojem su u subotu pobjedom nad domaćom momčadi rezultatom 27-19 ostvarili plasman u višu diviziju Europskog kupa nacija, pišu Sportske novosti.

Od sljedećeg ciklusa natjecanja nema više putovanja u Izrael, nema više Malte, nema Cipra, nema više egzotike (neki će reći, nažalost); gostujuće destinacije će im ubuduće biti puno bliže u Europi, odsad će se umjesto u trećoj europskoj jakosnoj skupni "Conference 1" natjecati u diviziji "Trophy" čime su u ušli u društvo momčadi kao što su Belgija, Poljska, Njemačka, Ukrajina Litva, Poljska.

Ključni za veliki uspjeh i važnu pobjedu kojom su ostvareni snovi generacija naših ragbijaških amatera pokazala velika želja i borbenost kojima su ostvareni bodovi za osvajanje prvog mjesta u skupini. Ključno je prije svega bilo veliko srce svih naših igrača koji su u subotu istračali na novoizgrađeni teren ragbi kluba Jizre'el koji je kolijevka ovog sporta u ovoj bliskoistočnoj zemlji. "Krstili" su ga naši ragbijaši na najbolji mogući način jer su novim bodovima pobjegli na nedostižnu prednost u skupini koju u nastavku natjecanja ne mogu doseći Izraelci, ali niti Maltežani, koje su naši teškom mukom prije osam dana pobijedili u Zagrebu. Ciklus su naši srčani mladići zaključili s četiri pobjede.

Izbornik Anthony Poša je večer uoči utakmice tijekom uobičajene ceremonije podjele dresova održao emotivan i stimulirirajući govor namjerno ponovivši najmanje 20 puta sintagmu "this is little bit different". I istina je - ovo je bilo malo drugačije od svega dosad, od svih pobjeda i poraza, od svih dosadašnjih muka.

Tri su desetljeća hrvatski ragbijaši pokušavali napraviti ovaj pomak, nisu to uspjeli niti u godinama kad su u svojim redovima imali i do 50 posto vrhunskih igrača, potomaka naših iseljenika s Novog Zelanda gdje je ragbi religija i način života. A uspjeli su to sada kad su u reprezentaciji uglavnom domaći igrači iz Splita, Zagreba i Sinja. Bravo za naše dečke, imaju na što biti ponosni ti mladići koji dres s državnih grbom nose amaterski i iz čiste i nepatvorene ljubavi.

Utakmica je očekivano bila tvrda, puna preokreta i drame jer je i domaćin želio pobijediti i izboriti viši rang. Poveli su Izraelci 7-0 nakon polaganja i pretvaranja. Ilija Biškić je nakon jednog nesportskog sudara dugo ostao ležati na travi, ali se uspio vratiti u igru poslije čega su naši borbeni igrači uspjeli izjednačiti polaganjem Nike Vraneševića i pretvaranjem Nika Jurišića. Naš je kapetan nakon toga donio prednost iz kaznenog udarca (7-10), a zatim je solo prodorom i novim pretvaranjem početni minus odveo u prednost 15-7. Suparnici se nisu predavali, opet su okrenuli rezultat (19-15).

Unatoč boljoj igri izabranika Anthonyja Poše, nervoza je činila svoje i borbeni su Izraelci slomljeni tek u završnici. Prvo je iznimno raspoloženi Ivan Josip Kordun probio liniju iz bliske udaljenosti, da bi bi nakon konstantnog pritiska Hrvatske Perica zaključio pobjedu i osigurao ekstra bonus poen.

- Iznimno sam ponosan, uspjeli smo ovo odraditi sad kad sam već pri kraju karijere, za ovo smo svi skupa živjeli, rekao je NIk Jurišić.

Povijesni uspjeh hrvatske ragbijaške reprezentacije: na ovo se čekalo čak tri desetljeća!

Hrvatski ragbijaši ostvarili su povijesni uspjeh u Izraelu, posebno mjesto u kolektivnoj i osobnoj memoriji čuvat će za kibuc Jizre'el u kojem su u subotu pobjedom nad domaćom momčadi rezultatom 27-19 ostvarili plasman u višu diviziju Europskog kupa nacija, pišu Sportske novosti.

Od sljedećeg ciklusa natjecanja nema više putovanja u Izrael, nema više Malte, nema Cipra, nema više egzotike (neki će reći, nažalost); gostujuće destinacije će im ubuduće biti puno bliže u Europi, odsad će se umjesto u trećoj europskoj jakosnoj skupni "Conference 1" natjecati u diviziji "Trophy" čime su u ušli u društvo momčadi kao što su Belgija, Poljska, Njemačka, Ukrajina Litva, Poljska.

Ključni za veliki uspjeh i važnu pobjedu kojom su ostvareni snovi generacija naših...
