Google je u četvrtak izvijestio da je namijenio 6,5 milijuna dolara organizacijama za provjeru činjenica dok se internetom i dalje šire lažne vijesti i opasne preporuke o Covidu-19.

Velike digitalne platforme zaredale su ovih tjedana s objavama kako bi pokazale svoje zauzimanje za pouzdane informacije i potporu građanima u izolaciji.

Gotovo polovina stanovnika Zemlje pozvana je da ostane kod kuće kako bi se zaustavilo širenje pandemije.
Novinari, analitičari i volonteri koji provjeravaju činjenice "sučeljeni su eksplozijom zahtjeva u svome poslu", ističe Alexios Mantzarlis iz Google News Laba, u prigodi tiskovne konferencije. "Razgovarao sam s čovjekom zaduženim za provjeru činjenica iz Španjolske koji kaže da im se posao usedmerostručio".

"Ljudi moraju donositi odluke... Mogu li ići onamo, trebam li ostaviti dijete kod kuće... Oslanjamo se na informacije, ali i na braću i prijatelje (...) Mnoštvo izvora nas čini osjetljivijima", dodaje.

Osim financijskih sredstava Google planira olakšati novinarima i nevladinim organizacijama pristup stručnjacima i bazama podataka.

Facebook je prije dva tjedna obznanio da je uspostavio poslovnu suradnju s međunarodnom mrežom za provjeru činjenica (IFCN) pri institutu Poynter, a u toj inicijativi sudjeluje i novinska agencija France Presse.

Ta se suradnja financira s milijun dolara koji će se upotrijebiti za projekte provjere činjenica u vezi s novim koronavirusom u čitavom svijetu.

Gotovo polovina stanovnika Zemlje pozvana je da ostane kod kuće kako bi se zaustavilo širenje pandemije.
Novinari, analitičari i volonteri koji provjeravaju činjenice "sučeljeni su eksplozijom zahtjeva u svome poslu", ističe Alexios Mantzarlis iz Google News Laba, u prigodi tiskovne konferencije. "Razgovarao sam s čovjekom zaduženim za provjeru činjenica iz Španjolske koji kaže da im se posao usedmerostručio".

"Ljudi moraju donositi odluke... Mogu li ići onamo, trebam li ostaviti dijete kod kuće... Oslanjamo se na informacije, ali i na braću i prijatelje (...) Mnoštvo izvora nas čini osjetljivijima", dodaje.

Osim financijskih sredstava Google planira olakšati novinarima i nevladinim organizacijama pristup stručnjacima i bazama podataka.

Facebook je prije dva tjedna obznanio da je uspostavio poslovnu suradnju s međunarodnom mrežom za provjeru činjenica (IFCN) pri institutu Poynter, a u toj inicijativi sudjeluje i novinska agencija France Presse.

Ta se suradnja financira s milijun dolara koji će se upotrijebiti za projekte provjere činjenica u vezi s novim koronavirusom u čitavom svijetu.

Facebook je prije dva tjedna obznanio da je uspostavio poslovnu suradnju s međunarodnom mrežom za provjeru činjenica (IFCN) pri institutu Poynter, a u toj inicijativi sudjeluje i novinska agencija France Presse.

Ta se suradnja financira s milijun dolara koji će se upotrijebiti za projekte provjere činjenica u vezi s novim koronavirusom u čitavom svijetu.
