Američka glumica Michelle Williams utjelovit će prerano preminulu pjevačicu Janis Joplin u biografskom filmu "Janis", čije će snimanje započeti na proljeće, izvijestio je portal Deadline. Trebalo je više od 20 godina da biografija popularne pjevačice ugleda svjetlo dana. U posljednjih 20 godina nekoliko se glumačkih i pjevačkih imena naizmjenično povezivalo s projektom: Lili Taylor, Pink Zoey Deschanek, Nina Arianda... da bi na kraju ulogu dobila Michelle Williams.
U proljeće će glumica, koja je na velikom ekranu već uspješno utjelovila filmsku divu Marilyn Monroe u filmu "Moj tjedan s Marilyn", za koji je 2012. nagrađena Zlatnim globusom, započeti snimanje filma koji će režirati Sean Durkin.
Važno je istaknuti da se film snima uz odobrenje Janisine obitelji te da je ostvareno pravo na emitiranje dvadeset četiriju njezinih pjesama, među kojima su slavne "Mercedes Benz" i "Me and Bobby McGee".
Joplin je rođena u Teksasu 1943., a s dvadeset je otišla u San Francisco, gdje su je 1967. zapazili zbog specifičnoga, hrapavog glasa i njegove posebne boje te scenskog nastupa. Tada se pridružila grupi koja je svirala psihodelični rock, Big Brother and the Holding Company. Njihova suradnja rezultirala je izdavanjem četiriju albuma i velikih hitova poput "Piece of My Heart" i "Summertime".

Američka glumica Michelle Williams utjelovit će prerano preminulu pjevačicu Janis Joplin u biografskom filmu "Janis", čije će snimanje započeti na proljeće, izvijestio je portal Deadline. Trebalo je više od 20 godina da biografija popularne pjevačice ugleda svjetlo dana. U posljednjih 20 godina nekoliko se glumačkih i pjevačkih imena naizmjenično povezivalo s projektom: Lili Taylor, Pink Zoey Deschanek, Nina Arianda... da bi na kraju ulogu dobila Michelle Williams.
U proljeće će glumica, koja je na velikom ekranu već uspješno utjelovila filmsku divu Marilyn Monroe u filmu "Moj tjedan s Marilyn", za koji je 2012. nagrađena Zlatnim globusom, započeti snimanje filma koji će režirati Sean Durkin.
Važno je istaknuti da se film snima uz odobrenje Janisine obitelji te da je ostvareno pravo na emitiranje dvadeset četiriju njezinih pjesama, među kojima su slavne "Mercedes Benz" i "Me and Bobby McGee".
Joplin je rođena u Teksasu 1943., a s dvadeset je otišla u San Francisco, gdje su je 1967. zapazili zbog specifičnoga, hrapavog glasa i njegove posebne boje te scenskog nastupa. Tada se pridružila grupi koja je svirala psihodelični rock, Big Brother and the Holding Company. Njihova suradnja rezultirala je izdavanjem četiriju albuma i velikih hitova poput "Piece of My Heart" i "Summertime".
