Sultan od Bruneja i njegov mlađi brat, princ Jefri, poznati su po svojim sklonostima prema ženama i dok su danas njihove ljubavne epizode poznate diljem svijeta, nekada su te aktivnosti bile obavijene velom tajne, pa čak i ilegalne.

Američka manekenka i misica Shannon Marketic (53) prva je progovorila o mračnim tajnama raskošne, skupocjene palače u Brunejima. Bila je Miss Amerike 1992. godine, a zatim je sljedeće godine zauzela osmo mjesto na izboru za Miss Universe. Tada je davne 1997. godine na vidjelo iznijela djelić onoga što se događa iza zidova raskošne palače, nakon što je sultana i njegovog brata  Jeffreya tužila za iznos od 75 milijuna funti.

Društvena situacija krajem 90-ih bila je puno drugačija nego danas, pa je sudac u Los Angelesu brzo odbacio ovaj slučaj, a braća su dobila diplomatski imunitet od daljnjih tužbi. Oni su svakako demantirali Shannonine tvrdnje, ali nisu izbjegli veliki međunarodni skandal koji je rezultirao svađom između braće, piše Kurir.

Tada 26-godišnja Shannon odlučila je da neće tako lako odustati od istjerivanja pravde pa je tužila agenciju za modele "Kaliber Talent Consultants" koja ju je angažirala. Naime, tvrdila je da je radila kao seksualna robinja u palači sultana od Bruneja, te da je to i bio pravi cilj agencije - regrutirati lijepe Amerikanke i poslati ih u Bruneje pod lažnim izgovorom da tamo budu seksualne radnice.

Marketic je tvrdila da nije imala pojma da se od nje očekuje seks sa strancima kada je potpisala dvomjesečni ugovor za "promotivni rad i manekenstvo" u palači, koji joj je obećavao 13.000 funti tjedno, što je danas jednako 25 tisuća funti. Zatim je otkrila da su ona i drugi modeli odvođeni sedam dana u tjednu od 22 do 3 ujutro na sportski stadion u palači koji je zapravo služio kao privatna diskoteka - od njih se očekivalo da plešu dok muškarci bulje u njih.

Shannon je također ispričala da joj je bilo zabranjeno napuštanje zemlje kada je odbila postati prostitutka. Tek nakon 32 dana smjela je napustiti palaču i zaprijetila je da će kontaktirati s američkom vladom – dano joj je 20 minuta da se spakira i uručeno joj je 7000 funti u singapurskoj valuti. Na kraju joj je i ta svota uzeta kada ju je na aerodromu u Los Angelesu dočekao predstavnik modne agencije.

Manekenka je zaključila da nije bila silovana, ali da je cijelo to iskustvo na nju ostavilo duboku traumu, uzrokujući psihičke probleme, noćne more i probleme sa spavanjem.

Sultan od Bruneja i njegov mlađi brat, princ Jefri, poznati su po svojim sklonostima prema ženama i dok su danas njihove ljubavne epizode poznate diljem svijeta, nekada su te aktivnosti bile obavijene velom tajne, pa čak i ilegalne.

Američka manekenka i misica Shannon Marketic (53) prva je progovorila o mračnim tajnama raskošne, skupocjene palače u Brunejima. Bila je Miss Amerike 1992. godine, a zatim je sljedeće godine zauzela osmo mjesto na izboru za Miss Universe. Tada je davne 1997. godine na vidjelo iznijela djelić onoga što se događa iza zidova raskošne palače, nakon što je sultana i njegovog brata  Jeffreya tužila za iznos od 75 milijuna funti.

Tada 26-godišnja Shannon odlučila je da neće tako lako odustati od istjerivanja pravde pa je tužila agenciju za modele "Kaliber Talent Consultants" koja ju je angažirala. Naime, tvrdila je da je radila kao seksualna robinja u palači sultana od Bruneja, te da je to i bio pravi cilj agencije - regrutirati lijepe Amerikanke i poslati ih u Bruneje pod lažnim izgovorom da tamo budu seksualne radnice.

Marketic je tvrdila da nije imala pojma da se od nje očekuje seks sa strancima kada je potpisala dvomjesečni ugovor za "promotivni rad i manekenstvo" u palači, koji joj je obećavao 13.000 funti tjedno, što je danas jednako 25 tisuća funti. Zatim je otkrila da su ona i drugi modeli odvođeni sedam dana u tjednu od 22 do 3 ujutro na sportski stadion u palači koji je zapravo služio kao privatna diskoteka - od njih se očekivalo da plešu dok muškarci bulje u njih.

Tek nakon 32 dana smjela je napustiti palaču i zaprijetila je da će kontaktirati s američkom vladom – dano joj je 20 minuta da se spakira i uručeno joj je 7000 funti u singapurskoj valuti. Na kraju joj je i ta svota uzeta kada ju je na aerodromu u Los Angelesu dočekao predstavnik modne agencije.

Manekenka je zaključila da nije bila silovana, ali da je cijelo to iskustvo na nju ostavilo duboku traumu, uzrokujući psihičke probleme, noćne more i probleme sa spavanjem.

Sultan od Bruneja i njegov mlađi brat, princ Jefri, poznati su po svojim sklonostima prema ženama i dok su danas njihove ljubavne epizode poznate diljem svijeta, nekada su te aktivnosti bile obavijene velom tajne, pa čak i ilegalne.

Američka manekenka i misica Shannon Marketic (53) prva je progovorila o mračnim tajnama raskošne, skupocjene palače u Brunejima. Bila je Miss Amerike 1992. godine, a zatim je sljedeće godine zauzela osmo mjesto na izboru za Miss Universe. Tada je davne 1997. godine na vidjelo iznijela djelić onoga što se događa iza zidova raskošne palače, nakon što je sultana i njegovog brata  Jeffreya tužila za iznos od 75 milijuna funti.
