Mladi roditelji imaju puno pitanja vezanih uz rast i razvoj njihove djece, pa se tako pitaju kada će njihovo dijete početi sjediti, puzati i hodati...
Također mnoge zanima kada će se djetetu promijeniti boja očiju, hoće li zauvijek ostati tako sjajne, hoće li biti lijepe plave kao u tate ili smeđe poput maminih, zašto ima mnogo tamniju boju očiju od svoje braće i sestara i zašto bebe uopće mijenjaju boju očiju?
Novorođenčad, posebno ona svijetle puti, imaju svijetlu boju očiju zbog vrlo malo melanina u očima. Riječ je o pigmentu koji daje boju očima, koži i kosi.
Količina melanina u šarenici, obojenom dijelu oka, određuje kakvu će boju očiju imati neka osoba, a koliko će osoba imati melanina ili pigmenta u svom tijelu određuje obiteljsko nasljeđe.
DNA koji dijete nasljeđuje od roditelja određuje jesu li oči smeđe, plave, zelene ili druge boje.
Dijete se može roditi s plavim očima (jer oči ponekad ne stvaraju puno ili uopće ne sadrže melanin dok je dijete u maternici), ali nakon rođenja svjetlost kojoj je izloženo potiče proizvodnju melanina koji s vremenom može promijeniti boju očiju.
Jedino je smeđi
Pri tome je važno znati da boja pigmenta nije ta koja uzrokuje promjenu. U oku nema plavog, sivog, zelenog ili smeđeg pigmenta, kažu stručnjaci, dodajući da je jedini pigment koji imamo u očima smeđi, a količina tog pigmenta određuje hoće li nečije oči biti svjetlije ili tamnije.
Bez obzira na znanost, čini se kao jednostavna jednadžba. Jedan roditelj sa smeđim očima plus drugi roditelj sa smeđim očima jednak je jednoj bebi sa smeđim očima, zar ne? Ali ne nužno.
U našem tijelu postoji više gena koji doprinose boji očiju. Čak i ako oba roditelja imaju smeđe oči, moguće je da dijete na kraju ima plave oči, ako roditelji imaju gene za plave oči negdje u genetskoj konstituciji ili ako imaju mutirani gen koji se može generacijama prenositi kao recesivan.
Nitko ne može znati kakvu će boju oči imati dijete kad odraste. Kako roditelj s jednom bojom očiju može imati gene za drugu boju oka? Preko baka i djedova, naravno.
Bake i djedovi
Boja dječjih očiju ovisi, ne samo o boji očiju roditelja, nego i o boji očiju njihovih baka i djedova. Stoga, ako i vi i vaš partner imate smeđe oči, a vaša beba zelene, razlog tome bi mogli biti baka ili djed. Čak i ako ste provjerili tablice ili kalkulatore o boji očiju svoje nerođene bebe, nemojte misliti da su sva predviđanja fiksna.
Nitko, uključujući liječnika, ne može predvidjeti kakvu će boju očiju imati vaše dijete kad odraste. A sve što vaša beba jede, radi ili koliko je malo ili puno izloženo svjetlosti, također ne znači ništa.
Sve je stvar genetike, pri čemu treba imati na umu da ako se dijete rodi sa smeđim očima, to znači da već ima količinu melanina određenu genetskim kodom, odnosno djetetova boja očiju više se neće mijenjati.
Od šestog do devetog mjeseca
Stručnjaci tvrde da ćete najvjerojatnije primijetiti najveću promjenu od šestog do devetog mjeseca života. Tijekom nekoliko tjedana ili mjeseci mogli biste primijetiti da djetetove oči postaju tamnije. Promjena je vrlo polagana tako da je možda nećete ni primijetiti dok se jednoga dana vaše dijete ne probudi i iznenadi vas novom, drugačijom bojom očiju.
Do navršene prve godine života većina male djece već dobije trajnu boju očiju, iako stručnjaci kažu da se kod neke djece boja očiju može promijeniti i do šeste godine života. Međutim, takvi su slučajevi rijetki i promjena se ne događa preko noći.
U svakom slučaju, djetetova boja očiju promijenit će se bez utjecaja na vid ili bilo kakve druge probleme s očima. Ali ako se boja očiju promijeni na samo jednom oku ili ako primijetite da su djetetove oči zamagljene, posjetite pedijatra ili dječjeg oftalmologa.

Mladi roditelji imaju puno pitanja vezanih uz rast i razvoj njihove djece, pa se tako pitaju kada će njihovo dijete početi sjediti, puzati i hodati...
Također mnoge zanima kada će se djetetu promijeniti boja očiju, hoće li zauvijek ostati tako sjajne, hoće li biti lijepe plave kao u tate ili smeđe poput maminih, zašto ima mnogo tamniju boju očiju od svoje braće i sestara i zašto bebe uopće mijenjaju boju očiju?
Novorođenčad, posebno ona svijetle puti, imaju svijetlu boju očiju zbog vrlo malo melanina u očima. Riječ je o pigmentu koji daje boju očima, koži i kosi.
Količina melanina u šarenici, obojenom dijelu oka, određuje kakvu će boju očiju imati neka osoba, a koliko će osoba imati melanina ili pigmenta u svom tijelu određuje obiteljsko nasljeđe.
DNA koji dijete nasljeđuje od roditelja određuje jesu li oči smeđe, plave, zelene ili druge boje.
Dijete se može roditi s plavim očima (jer oči ponekad ne stvaraju puno ili uopće ne sadrže melanin dok je dijete u maternici), ali nakon rođenja svjetlost kojoj je izloženo potiče proizvodnju melanina koji s vremenom može promijeniti boju očiju.

Pri tome je važno znati da boja pigmenta nije ta koja uzrokuje promjenu. U oku nema plavog, sivog, zelenog ili smeđeg pigmenta, kažu stručnjaci, dodajući da je jedini pigment koji imamo u očima smeđi, a količina tog pigmenta određuje hoće li nečije oči biti svjetlije ili tamnije.
Bez obzira na znanost, čini se kao jednostavna jednadžba. Jedan roditelj sa smeđim očima plus drugi roditelj sa smeđim očima jednak je jednoj bebi sa smeđim očima, zar ne? Ali ne nužno.
U našem tijelu postoji više gena koji doprinose boji očiju. Čak i ako oba roditelja imaju smeđe oči, moguće je da dijete na kraju ima plave oči, ako roditelji imaju gene za plave oči negdje u genetskoj konstituciji ili ako imaju mutirani gen koji se može generacijama prenositi kao recesivan.
Nitko ne može znati kakvu će boju oči imati dijete kad odraste. Kako roditelj s jednom bojom očiju može imati gene za drugu boju oka? Preko baka i djedova, naravno.
Bake i djedovi
Boja dječjih očiju ovisi, ne samo o boji očiju roditelja, nego i o boji očiju njihovih baka i djedova. Stoga, ako i vi i vaš partner imate smeđe oči, a vaša beba zelene, razlog tome bi mogli biti baka ili djed. Čak i ako ste provjerili tablice ili kalkulatore o boji očiju svoje nerođene bebe, nemojte misliti da su sva predviđanja fiksna.
Nitko, uključujući liječnika, ne može predvidjeti kakvu će boju očiju imati vaše dijete kad odraste. A sve što vaša beba jede, radi ili koliko je malo ili puno izloženo svjetlosti, također ne znači ništa.
Sve je stvar genetike, pri čemu treba imati na umu da ako se dijete rodi sa smeđim očima, to znači da već ima količinu melanina određenu genetskim kodom, odnosno djetetova boja očiju više se neće mijenjati.
Od šestog do devetog mjeseca
Stručnjaci tvrde da ćete najvjerojatnije primijetiti najveću promjenu od šestog do devetog mjeseca života. Tijekom nekoliko tjedana ili mjeseci mogli biste primijetiti da djetetove oči postaju tamnije. Promjena je vrlo polagana tako da je možda nećete ni primijetiti dok se jednoga dana vaše dijete ne probudi i iznenadi vas novom, drugačijom bojom očiju.
Do navršene prve godine života većina male djece već dobije trajnu boju očiju, iako stručnjaci kažu da se kod neke djece boja očiju može promijeniti i do šeste godine života. Međutim, takvi su slučajevi rijetki i promjena se ne događa preko noći.
U svakom slučaju, djetetova boja očiju promijenit će se bez utjecaja na vid ili bilo kakve druge probleme s očima. Ali ako se boja očiju promijeni na samo jednom oku ili ako primijetite da su djetetove oči zamagljene, posjetite pedijatra ili dječjeg oftalmologa.
