Postoji osam znakova upozorenja na koje treba obratiti pozornost kada je riječ o raku usta, ali oni mogu ostati nedijagnosticirani. Iako može biti teško otkriti, postoje neki rani znakovi upozorenja na koje trebate obratiti pozornost, a koji bi mogli povećati vaše šanse za preživljavanje.

Pogledajte cijelo lice. Postoje li otekline koje prije niste primijetili? Pregledajte svoju kožu. Je li se što promijenilo u zadnje vrijeme? Jesu li madeži postali veći ili su počeli svrbjeti ili krvariti? Okrenite glavu s jedne na drugu stranu. Ovo rasteže kožu preko mišića, čineći kvržice lakše vidljivim.

Postoji osam znakova upozorenja na koje treba obratiti pozornost kada je riječ o raku usta, ali oni mogu ostati nedijagnosticirani. Iako može biti teško otkriti, postoje neki rani znakovi upozorenja na koje trebate obratiti pozornost, a koji bi mogli povećati vaše šanse za preživljavanje.
U posljednjih 10 godina broj slučajeva raka usta u svijetu porastao je za šokantnih 60 posto, piše časopis Mirror. Pušenje ili žvakanje duhana, nedovoljna konzumacija voća i povrća i konzumiranje alkohola povećavaju rizik od raka usne šupljine, prema Cancer Research UK, piše Kurir.
Simptomi mogu biti bezbolni

Kako bi se to spriječilo, Oral Cancer Foundation preporučuje da svatko jednom mjesečno obavi temeljit pregled glave i vrata kod kuće.
Pogledajte cijelo lice. Postoje li otekline koje prije niste primijetili? Pregledajte svoju kožu. Je li se što promijenilo u zadnje vrijeme? Jesu li madeži postali veći ili su počeli svrbjeti ili krvariti? Okrenite glavu s jedne na drugu stranu. Ovo rasteže kožu preko mišića, čineći kvržice lakše vidljivim.
Također je važno provjeriti svoj vrat tako što ćete proći prstima ispod čeljusti i opipati veliki mišić s obje strane vrata. Jastučićima prstiju provjerite ima li otoka i je li sve jednako s obje strane. Također je važno provjeriti usne, obraze, desni, jezik te nepce i dno.
Međutim, postoje mnoge stvari koje možete učiniti kako biste spriječili rak usne šupljine, dodaje dr. Miriam Stoppard. Pušenje i konzumacija alkohola mogu značajno povećati rizik od razvoja raka. Dok je pušenje povezano s oko dvije trećine slučajeva raka usne šupljine, premalo voća i povrća povezano je s više od polovine, a alkohol je povezan s nešto manje od jedne trećine.
