Nakon rođenja kćeri, Mia Brehme patila je od jakih bolova. Kako prenosi "Mirror", mlada Britanka žalila se na stalni umor, mučninu, proljev i zatvor. Također se borila s krvarenjem.

Međutim, pokazalo se da su ti simptomi rani znakovi smrtonosne bolesti. U dobi od samo 23 godine, Mia Brehme dobila je šokantnu dijagnozu: uznapredovali rak debelog crijeva.

Prvi simptomi pojavili su se već u lipnju 2023. godine, kada je Mia primijetila krvarenje iz rektuma. Nosila se s takvim krvarenjem od rođenja kćeri i vjerovala je da je to zbog hemoroida.

Kako su joj se simptomi pogoršavali, zakazani su daljnji testovi, što je na kraju dovelo do dijagnoze raka.

Unatoč kemoterapiji, bolest se nije mogla zaustaviti. Mia je u rujnu proslavila 24. rođendan u hospiciju, manje od mjesec dana kasnije umrla je, ostavivši iza sebe svoju trogodišnju kćer Kyla-Mae.

"Dogodilo se tako brzo. Rak se vrlo brzo širi kod mladih ljudi, toga nisam bila svjesna", rekla je Alicia, starija sestra preminule, za "Mirror".

Alicia sada želi podići svijest o opasnostima raka debelog crijeva i potaknuti mlade ljude na preventivnu zdravstvenu zaštitu. 

"Ni na trenutak nismo pomislili da bi Mijini simptomi mogli biti tako ozbiljni jer je bila zdrava mlada majka", rekla je Alicia za "Mirror". Ona apelira: "Ako imate simptome, bez obzira koliko se činili manjima, provjerite se. To bi ti moglo spasiti život."

Nakon rođenja kćeri, Mia Brehme patila je od jakih bolova. Kako prenosi "Mirror", mlada Britanka žalila se na stalni umor, mučninu, proljev i zatvor. Također se borila s krvarenjem.

Međutim, pokazalo se da su ti simptomi rani znakovi smrtonosne bolesti. U dobi od samo 23 godine, Mia Brehme dobila je šokantnu dijagnozu: uznapredovali rak debelog crijeva.

Prvi simptomi pojavili su se već u lipnju 2023. godine, kada je Mia primijetila krvarenje iz rektuma. Nosila se s takvim krvarenjem od rođenja kćeri i vjerovala je da je to zbog hemoroida.

Kako su joj se simptomi pogoršavali, zakazani su daljnji testovi, što je na kraju dovelo do dijagnoze raka.

Unatoč kemoterapiji, bolest se nije mogla zaustaviti. Mia je u rujnu proslavila 24. rođendan u hospiciju, manje od mjesec dana kasnije umrla je, ostavivši iza sebe svoju trogodišnju kćer Kyla-Mae.

"Dogodilo se tako brzo. Rak se vrlo brzo širi kod mladih ljudi, toga nisam bila svjesna", rekla je Alicia, starija sestra preminule, za "Mirror".

Alicia sada želi podići svijest o opasnostima raka debelog crijeva i potaknuti mlade ljude na preventivnu zdravstvenu zaštitu. 

"Ni na trenutak nismo pomislili da bi Mijini simptomi mogli biti tako ozbiljni jer je bila zdrava mlada majka", rekla je Alicia za "Mirror". Ona apelira: "Ako imate simptome, bez obzira koliko se činili manjima, provjerite se. To bi ti moglo spasiti život."
