Dva mladunca rijetke i ugrožene vrste javanskog nosoroga snimljena su u ožujku kamerom u indonezijskome Nacionalnom parku na zapadnom vrhu otoka Jave, objavilo je u nedjelju ministarstvo zaštite okoliša i šumarstva.

U priopćenju ministarstva stoji da su mladunci ove ugrožene vrste nosoroga, koji su došli na svijet u Nacionalnom parku Ujung Kulon, zamijećeni prvi put.

Skrivena kamera sredinom ožujka prvi je put snimila žensko mladunče, čijoj su majci čuvari nadjenuli ime Ambu. Drugo mladunče uočeno na snimci je muško i procjenjuje se da je staro oko godinu dana. I ono je u ožujku snimljeno sa svojom majkom Palasari.

"Dolazak na svijet mladunčadi rijetkoga javanskog nosoroga u Nacionalnom parku Ujung Kulon ukazuje na to da je politika pune zaštite staništa ove vrste nosoroga u našemu nacionalnom parku uspješna jer ih potiče na prirodno razmnožavanje", rekao je ministar Siti Nurbaya Bakar.

Dolaskom na svijet dvoje mladunčadi javanskog nosoroga ove i prošle godine danas u Nacionalnom parku, po podacima ministarstva trenutačno živi 73 javanskih nosoroga - 40 mužjaka i 33 ženke.

Indonezija je dom dvjema od pet vrsta nosoroga koje postoje na svijetu - javanskog i sumatranskog nosoroga. Potonji je jedini azijski nosorog s dva roga.

Obje su vrste na takozvanom Crvenom popisu ugroženih vrsta Međunarodne unije za zaštitu prirode (IUCN) i ondje su zavedene kao kritično ugrožene.

Njihova se populacija ubrzano smanjuje zbog krivolova i gubitka staništa. Love ih zbog rogova kojima se pripisuje velika ljekovitost, a njihova vrlo visoka otkupna cijena i dalje privlači krivolovce na zaštićena područja.

Dva mladunca rijetke i ugrožene vrste javanskog nosoroga snimljena su u ožujku kamerom u indonezijskome Nacionalnom parku na zapadnom vrhu otoka Jave, objavilo je u nedjelju ministarstvo zaštite okoliša i šumarstva.

U priopćenju ministarstva stoji da su mladunci ove ugrožene vrste nosoroga, koji su došli na svijet u Nacionalnom parku Ujung Kulon, zamijećeni prvi put.

Skrivena kamera sredinom ožujka prvi je put snimila žensko mladunče, čijoj su majci čuvari nadjenuli ime Ambu. Drugo mladunče uočeno na snimci je muško i procjenjuje se da je staro oko godinu dana. I ono je u ožujku snimljeno sa svojom majkom Palasari.

"Dolazak na svijet mladunčadi rijetkoga javanskog nosoroga u Nacionalnom parku Ujung Kulon ukazuje na to da je politika pune zaštite staništa ove vrste nosoroga u našemu nacionalnom parku uspješna jer ih potiče na prirodno razmnožavanje", rekao je ministar Siti Nurbaya Bakar.

Dolaskom na svijet dvoje mladunčadi javanskog nosoroga ove i prošle godine danas u Nacionalnom parku, po podacima ministarstva trenutačno živi 73 javanskih nosoroga - 40 mužjaka i 33 ženke.

Indonezija je dom dvjema od pet vrsta nosoroga koje postoje na svijetu - javanskog i sumatranskog nosoroga. Potonji je jedini azijski nosorog s dva roga.

Obje su vrste na takozvanom Crvenom popisu ugroženih vrsta Međunarodne unije za zaštitu prirode (IUCN) i ondje su zavedene kao kritično ugrožene.

Njihova se populacija ubrzano smanjuje zbog krivolova i gubitka staništa. Love ih zbog rogova kojima se pripisuje velika ljekovitost, a njihova vrlo visoka otkupna cijena i dalje privlači krivolovce na zaštićena područja.

Kamera na Javi snimila dva mladunca ugrožene vrste nosoroga: njihova se populacija smanjuje zbog krivolova i gubitka staništa

Dva mladunca rijetke i ugrožene vrste javanskog nosoroga snimljena su u ožujku kamerom u indonezijskome Nacionalnom parku na zapadnom vrhu otoka Jave, objavilo je u nedjelju ministarstvo zaštite okoliša i šumarstva.

U priopćenju ministarstva stoji da su mladunci ove ugrožene vrste nosoroga, koji su došli na svijet u Nacionalnom parku Ujung Kulon, zamijećeni prvi put.

Skrivena kamera sredinom ožujka prvi je put snimila žensko mladunče, čijoj su majci čuvari nadjenuli ime Ambu. Drugo mladunče uočeno na snimci je muško i procjenjuje se da je staro oko godinu dana. I ono je u ožujku snimljeno sa svojom majkom Palasari.

"Dolazak na svijet mladunčadi rijetkoga javanskog nosoroga u Nacionalnom parku Ujung Kulon ukazuje na to da je politika pune zaštite staništa...
