Zlatni kipić za "Ničiju zemlju", Oscar, otvorio je bosanskom redatelju Danisu Tanoviću vrata stranih, transnacionalnih produkcija. Tanović je već snimao izvan granica "regiona" ("Tigrovi"), s naglaskom na "Pakao" i "Trijažu", filmove u kojima su mu glumile velike europske i hollywoodske zvijezde (Emanuelle Beart, Colin Farrell).
No, njegov posljednji, ovogodišnji filmski projekt, triler "Ubojice s razglednice" s Jeffreyjem Deanom Morganom i Famke Janssen u vodećim ulogama, dosad je najveći, najzahtjevniji i najneobičniji za filmaša specijalizirana za lokalne i globalne drame.

Snimanje filma, nastalog u produkciji Amerike i Velike Britanije, protezalo se cijelom Europom, od Londona do Stockholma, prateći priču o istrazi "serijskih" umorstava na europskim lokacijama. A film predstavlja prvi pravi Tanovićev izlet na žanrovski teren čistog trilera, "serial killer" podvrste.
Usto, posrijedi je ekranizacija bestselerskog romana "The Postcard Killings", zajedničke suradnje poznatih autora Jamesa Pattersona i Lize Marklund na kojoj su, među ostalim, osim same spisateljice, scenaristički uposlene Ellen Furman ("Infiltrator"), Tove Alsterdal i cijenjena hrvatska dramatičarka Tena Štivičić.
Zlobnici bi, politički nekorektno, rekli "puno babica, kilavo dijete", ali dijete nije ispalo baš tako kilavo. Tanović je, ilustracije radi, napravio bolji posao u usporedbi s Tomasom Alfredsonom na nedavnoj adaptaciji "Snjegovića" čuvenog Joa Nesboa, s kojim "Ubojice s razglednice" dijele određene sličnosti unutar žanra serijsko-ubilačke misterije.
"The Postcard Killings", za razliku od "Snowmana", odmah grabi pažnju prikazom prizorišta brutalnog ubojstva i "skandinavskiji" je u "serial killer" trilerstvu. Bolja polovica osakaćenog bračnog para je kćerka newyorškog policijskog detektiva s 30 godina iskustva Jacoba Kanona (Morgan).
Jacob obećava supruzi (Jannsen) da će, surađujući s europskom policijom i skandinavskom novinarkom (Cush Jumbo), uhvatiti ubojicu/e čije su žrtve mladi, netom oženjeni ljudi na medenom mjesecu ili proputovanju Europom. Stari kontinent kao poprište ubojstava prilično je osvježenje.
Serijski ubojice na filmu uglavnom operiraju u Americi, najčešće New Yorku, koju Kanon predstavlja svojim "šerifovskim" stavom. Europa je istovremeno lijepa i prijeteća, sunčana i oblačna u "Ubojicama s razglednice", ali najviše "skandinavski" opasna, siva, mračna, krijući tajne ispod površine.
Nesvakidašnji je i "intelektualistički" pristup groteskno zvjerskim umorstvima koje, srećom, vidimo samo post-festum, a ne "u trenutku", jer Tanović se ugleda na nedostižnog uzora Davida Finchera ("Seven") i nije mu namjera zglajzati u hororski "torture porn" triler ako je već "body horror" neizbježan s unakaženim dijelovima tijela, udovima koji nedostaju itd.
Beživotna tijela žrtava su (p)ostavljena kao rekonstrukcije muzejskih primjeraka, tako da podsjećaju na neku poznatu povijesnu sliku ili kip i odašilju poruku jer "umjetnost je rana pretvorena u svjetlost", a novinari, još malo intrigantnosti, dobivaju razglednicu s detaljima skorašnjeg ubojstva i porukom koja završava trotočjem.
Tko stoji iza ubojstava? Identitet ubojica otkriven je negdje oko polovice "Ubojica s razglednice" i mala je šansa da će ga pogoditi i najiskusniji detektiv u publici, s obzirom na Tanovićevo vješto navođenje na krivi trag. Odgovor na pitanje "tko je ubojica" znatno je uvjerljiviji od "zašto", unatoč dvosmislenostima, odnosno razmjerno intrigantnoj, pa i provokativnoj pozadinskoj priči negativaca.
"The Postcard Killings" pada nakon otkrića, tj. postaje komadičak "murder by the numbers" triler(čić)a devedesetih sa standardnom opremom, takoreći na rubu rutinskog žanrovca. Ipak, ovakvi trileri danas se rijetko snimaju, za razliku od devedesetih.
Tad bi "Ubojice s razglednice" djelovale kao još jedna u nizu kopija kopija "Jaganjaca" i "Sedmice" i smjestile se u približnoj ravni ili iza "Imitatora", "Kolekcionara", "Ubojice Sudnjeg dana", "Lovca i ubojice", "Sakupljača kostiju"... , a sad su rartet. Osim što nije nikad dosadan, film iznad prosjeka uzdiže sve što je prethodilo slabijoj drugoj polovici, barem ili tek toliko da ljubitelji žanra budu zadovoljni na jednokratno gledanje. Kartolina iz serijsko-ubilačkih devedesetih je poslana na njihovu kinoadresu.

Zlatni kipić za "Ničiju zemlju", Oscar, otvorio je bosanskom redatelju Danisu Tanoviću vrata stranih, transnacionalnih produkcija. Tanović je već snimao izvan granica "regiona" ("Tigrovi"), s naglaskom na "Pakao" i "Trijažu", filmove u kojima su mu glumile velike europske i hollywoodske zvijezde (Emanuelle Beart, Colin Farrell).
No, njegov posljednji, ovogodišnji filmski projekt, triler "Ubojice s razglednice" s Jeffreyjem Deanom Morganom i Famke Janssen u vodećim ulogama, dosad je najveći, najzahtjevniji i najneobičniji za filmaša specijalizirana za lokalne i globalne drame.

Snimanje filma, nastalog u produkciji Amerike i Velike Britanije, protezalo se cijelom Europom, od Londona do Stockholma, prateći priču o istrazi "serijskih" umorstava na europskim lokacijama. A film predstavlja prvi pravi Tanovićev izlet na žanrovski teren čistog trilera, "serial killer" podvrste.
Usto, posrijedi je ekranizacija bestselerskog romana "The Postcard Killings", zajedničke suradnje poznatih autora Jamesa Pattersona i Lize Marklund na kojoj su, među ostalim, osim same spisateljice, scenaristički uposlene Ellen Furman ("Infiltrator"), Tove Alsterdal i cijenjena hrvatska dramatičarka Tena Štivičić.
Zlobnici bi, politički nekorektno, rekli "puno babica, kilavo dijete", ali dijete nije ispalo baš tako kilavo. Tanović je, ilustracije radi, napravio bolji posao u usporedbi s Tomasom Alfredsonom na nedavnoj adaptaciji "Snjegovića" čuvenog Joa Nesboa, s kojim "Ubojice s razglednice" dijele određene sličnosti unutar žanra serijsko-ubilačke misterije.
"The Postcard Killings", za razliku od "Snowmana", odmah grabi pažnju prikazom prizorišta brutalnog ubojstva i "skandinavskiji" je u "serial killer" trilerstvu. Bolja polovica osakaćenog bračnog para je kćerka newyorškog policijskog detektiva s 30 godina iskustva Jacoba Kanona (Morgan).
Jacob obećava supruzi (Jannsen) da će, surađujući s europskom policijom i skandinavskom novinarkom (Cush Jumbo), uhvatiti ubojicu/e čije su žrtve mladi, netom oženjeni ljudi na medenom mjesecu ili proputovanju Europom. Stari kontinent kao poprište ubojstava prilično je osvježenje.
Serijski ubojice na filmu uglavnom operiraju u Americi, najčešće New Yorku, koju Kanon predstavlja svojim "šerifovskim" stavom. Europa je istovremeno lijepa i prijeteća, sunčana i oblačna u "Ubojicama s razglednice", ali najviše "skandinavski" opasna, siva, mračna, krijući tajne ispod površine.
Nesvakidašnji je i "intelektualistički" pristup groteskno zvjerskim umorstvima koje, srećom, vidimo samo post-festum, a ne "u trenutku", jer Tanović se ugleda na nedostižnog uzora Davida Finchera ("Seven") i nije mu namjera zglajzati u hororski "torture porn" triler ako je već "body horror" neizbježan s unakaženim dijelovima tijela, udovima koji nedostaju itd.
Beživotna tijela žrtava su (p)ostavljena kao rekonstrukcije muzejskih primjeraka, tako da podsjećaju na neku poznatu povijesnu sliku ili kip i odašilju poruku jer "umjetnost je rana pretvorena u svjetlost", a novinari, još malo intrigantnosti, dobivaju razglednicu s detaljima skorašnjeg ubojstva i porukom koja završava trotočjem.
Tko stoji iza ubojstava? Identitet ubojica otkriven je negdje oko polovice "Ubojica s razglednice" i mala je šansa da će ga pogoditi i najiskusniji detektiv u publici, s obzirom na Tanovićevo vješto navođenje na krivi trag. Odgovor na pitanje "tko je ubojica" znatno je uvjerljiviji od "zašto", unatoč dvosmislenostima, odnosno razmjerno intrigantnoj, pa i provokativnoj pozadinskoj priči negativaca.
"The Postcard Killings" pada nakon otkrića, tj. postaje komadičak "murder by the numbers" triler(čić)a devedesetih sa standardnom opremom, takoreći na rubu rutinskog žanrovca. Ipak, ovakvi trileri danas se rijetko snimaju, za razliku od devedesetih.
Tad bi "Ubojice s razglednice" djelovale kao još jedna u nizu kopija kopija "Jaganjaca" i "Sedmice" i smjestile se u približnoj ravni ili iza "Imitatora", "Kolekcionara", "Ubojice Sudnjeg dana", "Lovca i ubojice", "Sakupljača kostiju"... , a sad su rartet. Osim što nije nikad dosadan, film iznad prosjeka uzdiže sve što je prethodilo slabijoj drugoj polovici, barem ili tek toliko da ljubitelji žanra budu zadovoljni na jednokratno gledanje. Kartolina iz serijsko-ubilačkih devedesetih je poslana na njihovu kinoadresu.
