Turneje rock-skupine Foo Fighters jedne su od najprodavanijih na svijetu, ali njihov film “Studio 666” ispao je komercijalni promašaj. “Studio 666” krenuo je u američka kina krajem veljače i ukupno zaradio samo dva i pol milijuna dolara. Koliko se za koncerte Foo Fightersa traži ulaznica više, toliko se za film tražila karta manje.

Nakon loše prođe u američkim kinima, “Studio 666” je u ostatku svijeta uglavnom imao “online” premijeru u protekla dva-tri mjeseca, tako i u Hrvatskoj, gdje su Foo Fightersi održali dva koncerta u Puli 2019. godine. Pa ipak, dok je “Studio 666” osvanuo na hrvatskom internetskom videotržištu, dogodila se tragedija – 25. ožujka iznenada je umro bubnjar benda Taylor Hawkins.

Tragičan događaj rezultirao je prekidom nove turneje, ali ne i distribucije filma koji se gleda drugim očima nakon smrti odličnog bubnjara i najomiljenijeg člana benda iza frontmena Davea Grohla.

Publika je voljela Hawkinsa, posebice u trenucima kad bi se usred koncerta zamijenio s Grohlom, nekadašnjim bubnjarom Nirvane, te pustio glas i zapjevao hit-pjesmu “Under Pressure”, iznenađujuće dobro skidajući vokalne dionice Freddieja Mercuryja i Davida Bowieja, što je 2018. napravio i na koncertu u Firenzi, kad su se Foo Fightersima na pozornici pridružili i Gunsi.

Grohl, Hawkins i ostali članovi Foo Fightersa glume sami sebe u horor komediji “Studio 666” i traže mjesto za snimanje novog, desetog po redu albuma. “Hajdemo gdje nismo bili”, predlaže Grohl vlasniku njihove diskografske etikete (Jeff Garlin) i za primjer ističe kako su Led Zeppelin snimili album u dvorcu i tamo su bili “vrag, zmajevi, čarobnjaci i ta sranja”. “To želite”, pita ih ovaj i nađe im “strava mjesto” – imanje u kalifornijskom Encinu koje ima “rock ‘n’ roll pedigre”, ali i mračnu povijest.

Na tome mjestu album je devedesetih snimao bend Dreamwidow (“trebao biti idući Jane’s Addiction”), ali je stradao na brutalne načine, djelić čega vidimo u uvodu filma, kad jedna članica (Jenna Ortega; novi “Vrisak”) puže u bijegu od ubojice i ne uspijeva se izvući živa.

Spoznaja o mračnoj povijesti mjesta neće obeshrabriti Grohla, kao ni stradavanje čovjeka koji im je spajao kabele u studiju i završio “potpuno spržen” jer ovo je tipični horor na temu uklete kuće u kakvu likovi useljavaju neovisno o njezinoj ubojitoj prošlosti. “Osjećate li atmosferu smrti i propasti”, pita Grohl članove benda, uključujući i Hawkinsa. Prilično morbidno, no to je tek početak. Jer, Grohla će opsjesti zloduh i on će pokazivati karakteristike demonskog posjednuća.

Prebrodit će “stvaralačku konstipaciju” i dobiti viziju “velikog konceptualnog albuma” s notom “L” i pjesmama bez kraja, izluđujući članove benda svojim egom tijekom repetitivnih “sessiona”, kao što ih je, moguće, izluđivao i prilikom snimanja filma, evidentnog projekta iz taštine, možda i dosade, da Foo Fightersi ubiju vrijeme tijekom korone u nedostatku rada na novim videospotovima (“Studio 666” bi bio bolji u tom formatu) i kažu nešto o demonskoj glazbenoj industriji u kojoj se sklapaju paktovi s vragom.

Nisu Foo Fightersi imali lošu namjeru i pokazali su barem da vole stare dobre horore, od nadnaravnih do ultrakrvavih (utjecaji “Istjerivača đavola”, “Teksaškog masakra motornom pilom”, “Zle smrti”...), kao i sve staro, pa Grohl pri početku kaže da su “Dina” i “Vodeni svijet” najbolji filmovi zadnjih 30 godina, u jednom momentu mu se ukaže Lionel Ritchie, dok se nakratko pojavljuje i John Carpenter, ujedno i koautor uvodne glazbene teme.

Međutim, film koji nije bio nimalo smiješan, osim ako pod tim ne računate pokušaje glume članova benda (ne osjećaju se udobno pred kamerom), sada je to još manje nakon Hawkinsova odlaska, a precizna egzekucija nekih scena stradavanja (horor je svakako uspjeliji od komedije) samo potiče morbidnost kad opsjednuti Grohl počne ubijati kolege na grozomorne načine, što iz današnje optike definitivno nije “zabavno” na onaj hororsko-filmski način “zabave”.

Hawkinsova smrt u filmu jedna je od grozomornijih: nakon što pogura bubnjara do krajnjih granica da snime bubnjeve kako spada (“Moji žuljevi imaju žuljeve”), Grohl će ga dekapitirati činelom. Može li se ovdje, ili ne, povući paralela s “Poltergeistom” kao još jednim demonskim hororom koji je “prokleo” neke glumce i oni su umrli nedugo nakon snimanja, fanovi Foo Fightersa svakako trebaju s oprezom pristupiti gledanju “Studija 666”, a najbolje bi bilo da film uopće ne pogledaju. Zbog sebe, Hawkinsa i benda.

Koncerti u čast Hawkinsu

Foo Fightersi zasad još uvijek ne nastavljaju turneju, ali upravo su objavili datume dvaju 'tribute' koncerata u čast Hawkinsu, u Los Angelesu i Londonu, za što im je amen dala supruga pokojnog bubnjara.

Turneje rock-skupine Foo Fighters jedne su od najprodavanijih na svijetu, ali njihov film “Studio 666” ispao je komercijalni promašaj. “Studio 666” krenuo je u američka kina krajem veljače i ukupno zaradio samo dva i pol milijuna dolara. Koliko se za koncerte Foo Fightersa traži ulaznica više, toliko se za film tražila karta manje.

Nakon loše prođe u američkim kinima, “Studio 666” je u ostatku svijeta uglavnom imao “online” premijeru u protekla dva-tri mjeseca, tako i u Hrvatskoj, gdje su Foo Fightersi održali dva koncerta u Puli 2019. godine. Pa ipak, dok je “Studio 666” osvanuo na hrvatskom internetskom videotržištu, dogodila se tragedija – 25. ožujka iznenada je umro bubnjar benda Taylor Hawkins.

Tragičan događaj rezultirao je prekidom nove turneje, ali ne i distribucije filma koji se gleda drugim očima nakon smrti odličnog bubnjara i najomiljenijeg člana benda iza frontmena Davea Grohla.

Publika je voljela Hawkinsa, posebice u trenucima kad bi se usred koncerta zamijenio s Grohlom, nekadašnjim bubnjarom Nirvane, te pustio glas i zapjevao hit-pjesmu “Under Pressure”, iznenađujuće dobro skidajući vokalne dionice Freddieja Mercuryja i Davida Bowieja, što je 2018. napravio i na koncertu u Firenzi, kad su se Foo Fightersima na pozornici pridružili i Gunsi.

Grohl, Hawkins i ostali članovi Foo Fightersa glume sami sebe u horor komediji “Studio 666” i traže mjesto za snimanje novog, desetog po redu albuma. “Hajdemo gdje nismo bili”, predlaže Grohl vlasniku njihove diskografske etikete (Jeff Garlin) i za primjer ističe kako su Led Zeppelin snimili album u dvorcu i tamo su bili “vrag, zmajevi, čarobnjaci i ta sranja”. “To želite”, pita ih ovaj i nađe im “strava mjesto” – imanje u kalifornijskom Encinu koje ima “rock ‘n’ roll pedigre”, ali i mračnu povijest.

Na tome mjestu album je devedesetih snimao bend Dreamwidow (“trebao biti idući Jane’s Addiction”), ali je stradao na brutalne načine, djelić čega vidimo u uvodu filma, kad jedna članica (Jenna Ortega; novi “Vrisak”) puže u bijegu od ubojice i ne uspijeva se izvući živa.

Spoznaja o mračnoj povijesti mjesta neće obeshrabriti Grohla, kao ni stradavanje čovjeka koji im je spajao kabele u studiju i završio “potpuno spržen” jer ovo je tipični horor na temu uklete kuće u kakvu likovi useljavaju neovisno o njezinoj ubojitoj prošlosti. “Osjećate li atmosferu smrti i propasti”, pita Grohl članove benda, uključujući i Hawkinsa. Prilično morbidno, no to je tek početak. Jer, Grohla će opsjesti zloduh i on će pokazivati karakteristike demonskog posjednuća.

Prebrodit će “stvaralačku konstipaciju” i dobiti viziju “velikog konceptualnog albuma” s notom “L” i pjesmama bez kraja, izluđujući članove benda svojim egom tijekom repetitivnih “sessiona”, kao što ih je, moguće, izluđivao i prilikom snimanja filma, evidentnog projekta iz taštine, možda i dosade, da Foo Fightersi ubiju vrijeme tijekom korone u nedostatku rada na novim videospotovima (“Studio 666” bi bio bolji u tom formatu) i kažu nešto o demonskoj glazbenoj industriji u kojoj se sklapaju paktovi s vragom.

Nisu Foo Fightersi imali lošu namjeru i pokazali su barem da vole stare dobre horore, od nadnaravnih do ultrakrvavih (utjecaji “Istjerivača đavola”, “Teksaškog masakra motornom pilom”, “Zle smrti”...), kao i sve staro, pa Grohl pri početku kaže da su “Dina” i “Vodeni svijet” najbolji filmovi zadnjih 30 godina, u jednom momentu mu se ukaže Lionel Ritchie, dok se nakratko pojavljuje i John Carpenter, ujedno i koautor uvodne glazbene teme.

Međutim, film koji nije bio nimalo smiješan, osim ako pod tim ne računate pokušaje glume članova benda (ne osjećaju se udobno pred kamerom), sada je to još manje nakon Hawkinsova odlaska, a precizna egzekucija nekih scena stradavanja (horor je svakako uspjeliji od komedije) samo potiče morbidnost kad opsjednuti Grohl počne ubijati kolege na grozomorne načine, što iz današnje optike definitivno nije “zabavno” na onaj hororsko-filmski način “zabave”.

Hawkinsova smrt u filmu jedna je od grozomornijih: nakon što pogura bubnjara do krajnjih granica da snime bubnjeve kako spada (“Moji žuljevi imaju žuljeve”), Grohl će ga dekapitirati činelom. Može li se ovdje, ili ne, povući paralela s “Poltergeistom” kao još jednim demonskim hororom koji je “prokleo” neke glumce i oni su umrli nedugo nakon snimanja, fanovi Foo Fightersa svakako trebaju s oprezom pristupiti gledanju “Studija 666”, a najbolje bi bilo da film uopće ne pogledaju. Zbog sebe, Hawkinsa i benda.

Koncerti u čast Hawkinsu

Foo Fightersi zasad još uvijek ne nastavljaju turneju, ali upravo su objavili datume dvaju 'tribute' koncerata u čast Hawkinsu, u Los Angelesu i Londonu, za što im je amen dala supruga pokojnog bubnjara.
