Zviždači su unatrag godinu i nešto dana zviždali nikad glasnije unutar kinematografije i pozivali na borbu malog čovjeka Davida protiv sistemskoga Golijata. Čak tri visokoprofilna filma bavili su se zviždačima – "Dark Waters", "The Report" i "Official Secrets" koji je, kao posljednji iz recentnog "whistleblower" trolista, upravo stigao na hrvatsko "online" videotržište.

Odakle potreba filmaša i gledatelja za zviždači(ca)ma, odnosno zašto se baš danas opet snima dosta filmova o njima i glume ih zvijezde poput Keire Knightley u "Službenim tajnama"? Zasigurno je to zbog vremena u kojem živimo, a blisko je sedamdesetim godinama prošlog stoljeća i velikom nepovjerenju u sustav.

Tada su zazviždali prvi filmovi tog tipa, utemeljeni na istinitim pričama ili djelo fikcije, kao "Svi predsjednikovi ljudi" (Duboko grlo i afera Watergate) i "Serpico" (korupcija u policiji), tj. "Kineski sindrom" (zataškavanje nesreće u nuklearki).

Eho njihova zvižduka osjećao se u osamdesetima u "Silkwoodu" (prokazivanje tvornice za preradu plutonija), pa sve do kraja devedesetih i početka novog milenija s "Probuđenom savjesti" (ustanak protiv duhanske industrije) i "Erin Brockovich" (tužba protiv korporacije koja je svjesno trovala vodu).

Danas je korupcija sve više prisutna na svakom koraku, a u stopu je prati nepravda sistema spram malog čovjeka. Sistem je korumpiran, pod njim mnoge korporacije, institucije, organizacije. Sve to u čovjeku stvara potrebu za otporom, aktivizmom, činjenjem prave stvari, zviždanjem nepravdi na sav glas.

Treba hrabrosti da netko istupi naprijed vjerujući u ideale i građansku dužnost u neidealističkom vremenu, da izloži istinu o ovim ili onim krivdama lažljiva sistema, sve što mu je na savjesti. Jer, to sobom može povući gubitak posla, slobode, pa i života, kao što vidimo u zviždačkim filmovima.

Rijetko tko se usudi na to u stvarnosti, kao Edward Snowden i Julian Assange o kojima su snimljeni filmovi ("Citizenfour" i "Snowden", tj. "Tajne petog staleža"). Zato ljudi vole gledati da zviždači vode njihove bitke na filmu uz puno filmske dramatike i napetosti.

Zviždački filmovi su najčešće doku-drame ili politički/novinarski/istraživački trileri, ponekad i u kombinaciji, a rijetko komedije ("Doušnik!"). Žanr je oblikovao "All The President's Men", premda se bavio kolektivnim konceptom zviždača, a ne njegovim osobnim likom/djelom i u formi karakterne studije ("Serpico", "Silkwood"), izvlačeći unutarnje konflikte prilikom otkrivanja istine na površinu.

"Official Secrets", recentni "whistlerblower movie" s deglamuriziranom Knightley u ulozi Katharine Gun, nije najbolji u nizu, ali je najsveobuhvatniji, mini "best of" žanra koji se preko njega može prelomiti.

Film priča istinitu priču zaposlenice Agencije za praćenje elektroničkih komunikacija (Government Communications Headquarters; GCHQ) nakon što je 2003. otkrila manipulacije podacima od strane Bushova SAD-a i Blairove Britanije za ulazak drugih država UN-a u "rat protiv terora", poguran navodno postojećim oružjem za masovno uništenje u rukama Saddama Husseina.

U tom procesu "Službene tajne" se nadovezuju na "Sve predsjednikove ljude" i "Poštenu igru". U jednoj sceni imamo tajni nalazak u podzemnoj garaži kao rekreaciju nalaska s Dubokim grlom, a GCHQ-ovka Katharine otkriva što i CIA-ovka Valerie Prime u "Fair Game" – da Irak baš i nema aktivni program razvoja nuklearnog oružja.

Brak Valerie je bio ugrožen kao i Katherinein, s tim da je potonja bila u dramski još nezavidnijoj situaciji kako je njezin suprug-imigrant Yasar (Adam Bakri) Musliman, turski Kurd koji se našao pod prijetnjom deportacije.

Sličnosti s "All The President's Men" vidljive su još i u angažmanu istraživačkih novinara "Observera" (Matt Smith, Matthew Goode, Rhys Ifans) na istrazi strogo povjerljivog dokumenta i provjeri izvora, kao i njihovim dvojbama oko objave članka i reperkusijama iste zbog prljavih političkih igara s uključenim potencijalnim ucjenama za one koji se protive (ilegalnom) ratu.

Dakle, "Official Secrets" daje dvije perspektive jednog događaja, čak i tri računajući da pratimo i tim odvjetnika u obrani Gun, predvođen Benom Emmersonom (Ralph Fiennes), toliko da su iz ove priče mogla nastati i dva filma.

Ipak, redatelj Gavin Hood, često zainteresiran za geopolitiku ("Nestali zarobljenik", "Pogled s neba"), više no solidno povezuje globalne i osobne uloge nekoga tko je stavio sve na kocku za veće dobro, te bilda paranoidnu ugrozu malog čovjeka od velikog državnog aparata. Protiv tog aparata savjesna pravednica Katharine ustaje kako bi spriječila rat zasnovan na lažima i spasila živote, svjesno kršeći zakon o službenoj tajni, što će joj život na više mjeseci pretvoriti u pakao.

Nažalost, na koncu nije uspjela zaustaviti rat koji je tijekom četiri godine odnio 150 tisuća do milijun života, uključujući 4000 američkih i britanskih vojnika, ali njezin slučaj i film ostaju kao jedan od najoglednijih primjera zviždaštva, danas jednako relevantan kao 2003. godine. "Službene tajne" zvižde na ponos svih zviždača jučerašnjice, današnjice i sutrašnjice.

Usporedba Saddama i Miloševića

Zanimljivo je da u filmu "Official Secrets", prije slučaja Katharine Gun, urednik "Observera" Roger Alton (Conleth Hill) daje novinaru Peteru Baumontu (Smith) da napravi tekstualnu usporedbu Saddama Husseina i Slobodana Miloševića.

Kathryn Bolkovac, zviždačica iz Bosne

U filmu "Zviždač" iz 2010. oskarovka Rachel Weisz ("Brižni vrtlar") glumi stvarnu američku policajku Kathryn Bolkovac koja je svjedočila prostituciji i trgovini bijelim robljem (domaće djevojke, Ukrajinke, Moldavke) kad se u sklopu mirovnih snaga našla u poratnoj Bosni i Hercegovini. Sve to je iznijela na vidjelo i izazvala skandal s obzirom na umiješanost i zaposlenika UN-a u organizirani kriminal.

Zviždači su unatrag godinu i nešto dana zviždali nikad glasnije unutar kinematografije i pozivali na borbu malog čovjeka Davida protiv sistemskoga Golijata. Čak tri visokoprofilna filma bavili su se zviždačima – "Dark Waters", "The Report" i "Official Secrets" koji je, kao posljednji iz recentnog "whistleblower" trolista, upravo stigao na hrvatsko "online" videotržište.

Odakle potreba filmaša i gledatelja za zviždači(ca)ma, odnosno zašto se baš danas opet snima dosta filmova o njima i glume ih zvijezde poput Keire Knightley u "Službenim tajnama"? Zasigurno je to zbog vremena u kojem živimo, a blisko je sedamdesetim godinama prošlog stoljeća i velikom nepovjerenju u sustav.

Tada su zazviždali prvi filmovi tog tipa, utemeljeni na istinitim pričama ili djelo fikcije, kao "Svi predsjednikovi ljudi" (Duboko grlo i afera Watergate) i "Serpico" (korupcija u policiji), tj. "Kineski sindrom" (zataškavanje nesreće u nuklearki).

Eho njihova zvižduka osjećao se u osamdesetima u "Silkwoodu" (prokazivanje tvornice za preradu plutonija), pa sve do kraja devedesetih i početka novog milenija s "Probuđenom savjesti" (ustanak protiv duhanske industrije) i "Erin Brockovich" (tužba protiv korporacije koja je svjesno trovala vodu).

Danas je korupcija sve više prisutna na svakom koraku, a u stopu je prati nepravda sistema spram malog čovjeka. Sistem je korumpiran, pod njim mnoge korporacije, institucije, organizacije. Sve to u čovjeku stvara potrebu za otporom, aktivizmom, činjenjem prave stvari, zviždanjem nepravdi na sav glas.

Treba hrabrosti da netko istupi naprijed vjerujući u ideale i građansku dužnost u neidealističkom vremenu, da izloži istinu o ovim ili onim krivdama lažljiva sistema, sve što mu je na savjesti. Jer, to sobom može povući gubitak posla, slobode, pa i života, kao što vidimo u zviždačkim filmovima.

Rijetko tko se usudi na to u stvarnosti, kao Edward Snowden i Julian Assange o kojima su snimljeni filmovi ("Citizenfour" i "Snowden", tj. "Tajne petog staleža"). Zato ljudi vole gledati da zviždači vode njihove bitke na filmu uz puno filmske dramatike i napetosti.

Zviždački filmovi su najčešće doku-drame ili politički/novinarski/istraživački trileri, ponekad i u kombinaciji, a rijetko komedije ("Doušnik!"). Žanr je oblikovao "All The President's Men", premda se bavio kolektivnim konceptom zviždača, a ne njegovim osobnim likom/djelom i u formi karakterne studije ("Serpico", "Silkwood"), izvlačeći unutarnje konflikte prilikom otkrivanja istine na površinu.

"Official Secrets", recentni "whistlerblower movie" s deglamuriziranom Knightley u ulozi Katharine Gun, nije najbolji u nizu, ali je najsveobuhvatniji, mini "best of" žanra koji se preko njega može prelomiti.

Film priča istinitu priču zaposlenice Agencije za praćenje elektroničkih komunikacija (Government Communications Headquarters; GCHQ) nakon što je 2003. otkrila manipulacije podacima od strane Bushova SAD-a i Blairove Britanije za ulazak drugih država UN-a u "rat protiv terora", poguran navodno postojećim oružjem za masovno uništenje u rukama Saddama Husseina.

U tom procesu "Službene tajne" se nadovezuju na "Sve predsjednikove ljude" i "Poštenu igru". U jednoj sceni imamo tajni nalazak u podzemnoj garaži kao rekreaciju nalaska s Dubokim grlom, a GCHQ-ovka Katharine otkriva što i CIA-ovka Valerie Prime u "Fair Game" – da Irak baš i nema aktivni program razvoja nuklearnog oružja.

Brak Valerie je bio ugrožen kao i Katherinein, s tim da je potonja bila u dramski još nezavidnijoj situaciji kako je njezin suprug-imigrant Yasar (Adam Bakri) Musliman, turski Kurd koji se našao pod prijetnjom deportacije.

Sličnosti s "All The President's Men" vidljive su još i u angažmanu istraživačkih novinara "Observera" (Matt Smith, Matthew Goode, Rhys Ifans) na istrazi strogo povjerljivog dokumenta i provjeri izvora, kao i njihovim dvojbama oko objave članka i reperkusijama iste zbog prljavih političkih igara s uključenim potencijalnim ucjenama za one koji se protive (ilegalnom) ratu.

Dakle, "Official Secrets" daje dvije perspektive jednog događaja, čak i tri računajući da pratimo i tim odvjetnika u obrani Gun, predvođen Benom Emmersonom (Ralph Fiennes), toliko da su iz ove priče mogla nastati i dva filma.

Ipak, redatelj Gavin Hood, često zainteresiran za geopolitiku ("Nestali zarobljenik", "Pogled s neba"), više no solidno povezuje globalne i osobne uloge nekoga tko je stavio sve na kocku za veće dobro, te bilda paranoidnu ugrozu malog čovjeka od velikog državnog aparata. Protiv tog aparata savjesna pravednica Katharine ustaje kako bi spriječila rat zasnovan na lažima i spasila živote, svjesno kršeći zakon o službenoj tajni, što će joj život na više mjeseci pretvoriti u pakao.

Nažalost, na koncu nije uspjela zaustaviti rat koji je tijekom četiri godine odnio 150 tisuća do milijun života, uključujući 4000 američkih i britanskih vojnika, ali njezin slučaj i film ostaju kao jedan od najoglednijih primjera zviždaštva, danas jednako relevantan kao 2003. godine. "Službene tajne" zvižde na ponos svih zviždača jučerašnjice, današnjice i sutrašnjice.

Usporedba Saddama i Miloševića

Zanimljivo je da u filmu "Official Secrets", prije slučaja Katharine Gun, urednik "Observera" Roger Alton (Conleth Hill) daje novinaru Peteru Baumontu (Smith) da napravi tekstualnu usporedbu Saddama Husseina i Slobodana Miloševića.

Kathryn Bolkovac, zviždačica iz Bosne

U filmu "Zviždač" iz 2010. oskarovka Rachel Weisz ("Brižni vrtlar") glumi stvarnu američku policajku Kathryn Bolkovac koja je svjedočila prostituciji i trgovini bijelim robljem (domaće djevojke, Ukrajinke, Moldavke) kad se u sklopu mirovnih snaga našla u poratnoj Bosni i Hercegovini. Sve to je iznijela na vidjelo i izazvala skandal s obzirom na umiješanost i zaposlenika UN-a u organizirani kriminal.
