"Fletch, možete me tako zvati", govori Jon Hamm kao I.M. Fletcher. Kad ga policajac zatraži puno ime, Fletch otkrije da inicijali I.M. stoje za Irwin Maurice. Predstavljanje lika Fletcha karakteristično je za nove "reboot" verzije filmova o već poznatim likovima koje glume drugi glumci. "Priznaj, Fletch" ("Confess, Fletch") upravo je takav film.
Ako vam je "Fletch" zvoni u ušima, to je zato što ga je u osamdesetima glumio popularni komičar Chevy Chase u dvama filmovima, inspiriranima serijom romana Gregoryja McDonalda . Originalni "Fletch" iz 1985. bio je solidan, a četiri godine mlađi nastavak "Fletch Lives" slabiji.

Otad naovamo, Hollywood je gledao kako da Fletch (o)živi. Jedno vrijeme je novog "Fletcha" trebao snimiti redatelj Kevin Smith , veliki fan filmova osamdesetih, i to s njegovim kućnim glumcem Jasonom Leejem ("Natjerujući Amy ") kao nasljednikom Chasea. Smith i Lee su dobar dvojac i njihov "Fletch" bi vjerojatno bio uspješan.
Nažalost, film se nije snimio, ali bilo je pitanje dana kad će "Fletch" oživjeti s obzirom koliko je Hollywood opsjednut franšizama i franšiznim likovima. Dogodilo se to prošle godine u filmu "Priznaj, Fletch" koji je preskočio hrvatska kina i premijerno osvanuo na SkyShowtimeu. Novi film potpisuje Greg Mottola ("Superbad", "Ljetna avantura", "Paul"), a glavnu ulogu igra Jon Hamm, zvijezda serije "Momci s Madisona", ujedno i redateljev znanac ("Keeping Up With The Joneses").
"Confess, Fletch" je stigao u pravo vrijeme kad je publika pokazala interes za detektivskim misterijama poput "Noža u leđa " i njegovog nastavka s Danielom Craigom kao Benoitom Blancom, te novih avantura Herculesa Poirota u tumačenju Kennetha Branagha ("Ubojstvo u Orient Expressu ", "Smrt na Nilu "). Tu su i filmovi kao što su "See How They Run " i "Murder Mystery " i njegov nastavak .

Voljeli bismo da je Fletch u interpretaciji Hamma jednako zabavan kao Chaseov i živopisan kao Blanc, ali svakako je za klasu iznad modernih detektiva poput Adama Sandlera . Mottolinu i Hammovu "Fletchu" nedostaje osobnosti i film nije uvijek žanrovski i tonalno izbalansiran, no razmjerno je okej(ish) razbibriga s mrvicu šarma za gledanje jednog lijenog ljetnog dana, posebice ako volite lagane krimi-trilerske komedijice misterioznog "noir" prizvuka.
Ovaj put bivši novinar Fletch (njegovog urednika glumi Hammov "Mad Men" partner John Slattery ) biva optužen za umorstvo nakon što pronađe beživotno tijelo neke žene, a istovremeno sa skidanjem ljage sa svoga imena on traga za pravim ubojicom kako bi dokazao svoju nevinost, ali i biva umiješan u slučaj ukradene zbirke skupih slika.
Je li ubojica netko iz prošlosti tko mu se želi osvetiti kad je bio poznati novinar? Možda njegova zgodna talijanska djevojka u tijelu Lorenze Izzo ("Kuc Kuc ", "Bilo jednom u... Hollywoodu ")? Ekscentrični trgovac umjetninama (Kyle MacLachlan )?
Zbrka je umjereno duhovita, s povremeno pogođenim komičnim tajmingom Hamma i ostatka glumačke ekipe gdje se ističe Annie Mumolo ("Barb i Star na putu za Vista Del Mar "). Komedija i misterija gdjekad "kliknu" i kad se to dogodi "Priznaj, Fletch" podsjeća na potencijal glavnog lika i njegova djela, toliko da se valja ponadati da neće proći još tridesetak godina do novog filma.

"Fletch, možete me tako zvati", govori Jon Hamm kao I.M. Fletcher. Kad ga policajac zatraži puno ime, Fletch otkrije da inicijali I.M. stoje za Irwin Maurice. Predstavljanje lika Fletcha karakteristično je za nove "reboot" verzije filmova o već poznatim likovima koje glume drugi glumci. "Priznaj, Fletch" ("Confess, Fletch") upravo je takav film.
Ako vam je "Fletch" zvoni u ušima, to je zato što ga je u osamdesetima glumio popularni komičar Chevy Chase u dvama filmovima, inspiriranima serijom romana Gregoryja McDonalda . Originalni "Fletch" iz 1985. bio je solidan, a četiri godine mlađi nastavak "Fletch Lives" slabiji.

Otad naovamo, Hollywood je gledao kako da Fletch (o)živi. Jedno vrijeme je novog "Fletcha" trebao snimiti redatelj Kevin Smith , veliki fan filmova osamdesetih, i to s njegovim kućnim glumcem Jasonom Leejem ("Natjerujući Amy ") kao nasljednikom Chasea. Smith i Lee su dobar dvojac i njihov "Fletch" bi vjerojatno bio uspješan.
Nažalost, film se nije snimio, ali bilo je pitanje dana kad će "Fletch" oživjeti s obzirom koliko je Hollywood opsjednut franšizama i franšiznim likovima. Dogodilo se to prošle godine u filmu "Priznaj, Fletch" koji je preskočio hrvatska kina i premijerno osvanuo na SkyShowtimeu. Novi film potpisuje Greg Mottola ("Superbad", "Ljetna avantura", "Paul"), a glavnu ulogu igra Jon Hamm, zvijezda serije "Momci s Madisona", ujedno i redateljev znanac ("Keeping Up With The Joneses").
"Confess, Fletch" je stigao u pravo vrijeme kad je publika pokazala interes za detektivskim misterijama poput "Noža u leđa " i njegovog nastavka s Danielom Craigom kao Benoitom Blancom, te novih avantura Herculesa Poirota u tumačenju Kennetha Branagha ("Ubojstvo u Orient Expressu ", "Smrt na Nilu "). Tu su i filmovi kao što su "See How They Run " i "Murder Mystery " i njegov nastavak .

Voljeli bismo da je Fletch u interpretaciji Hamma jednako zabavan kao Chaseov i živopisan kao Blanc, ali svakako je za klasu iznad modernih detektiva poput Adama Sandlera . Mottolinu i Hammovu "Fletchu" nedostaje osobnosti i film nije uvijek žanrovski i tonalno izbalansiran, no razmjerno je okej(ish) razbibriga s mrvicu šarma za gledanje jednog lijenog ljetnog dana, posebice ako volite lagane krimi-trilerske komedijice misterioznog "noir" prizvuka.
Ovaj put bivši novinar Fletch (njegovog urednika glumi Hammov "Mad Men" partner John Slattery ) biva optužen za umorstvo nakon što pronađe beživotno tijelo neke žene, a istovremeno sa skidanjem ljage sa svoga imena on traga za pravim ubojicom kako bi dokazao svoju nevinost, ali i biva umiješan u slučaj ukradene zbirke skupih slika.
Je li ubojica netko iz prošlosti tko mu se želi osvetiti kad je bio poznati novinar? Možda njegova zgodna talijanska djevojka u tijelu Lorenze Izzo ("Kuc Kuc ", "Bilo jednom u... Hollywoodu ")? Ekscentrični trgovac umjetninama (Kyle MacLachlan )?
Zbrka je umjereno duhovita, s povremeno pogođenim komičnim tajmingom Hamma i ostatka glumačke ekipe gdje se ističe Annie Mumolo ("Barb i Star na putu za Vista Del Mar "). Komedija i misterija gdjekad "kliknu" i kad se to dogodi "Priznaj, Fletch" podsjeća na potencijal glavnog lika i njegova djela, toliko da se valja ponadati da neće proći još tridesetak godina do novog filma.
