"Zatražite besplatne ulaznice za film ili uplatite za drugoga tko ih sebi ne može priuštiti". Dokumentarac "Poslije smrti" ("After Death"), redatelja Stephena Graya i Chrisa Radtkea, slijedi uspješnu kampanju ljetošnjeg kinohita "Zvuk slobode" Alejandra Gomeza Monteverdea. Oba filma nastala su u produkciji nezavisne kompanije Angel Studio, koja je postigla izniman uspjeh distribuirajući niskobudžetni "Sound Of Freedom" (koštao je 14,5 milijuna dolara) s pionirskom "pay it forward" kampanjom.

Reklamna kampanja

Nošen krilaticom "Božja djeca nisu na prodaju" i poduprt velikom potporom kršćanskih udruga, "Zvuk slobode" tako je skrenuo dodatnu pozornost na sebe i zaradio 184 milijuna dolara u američkim kinima, više od nekih zvučnih, desetak puta skupljih blockbustera poput nastavaka "Indiane Jonesa", "Nemoguće misije" i "Brzih i žestokih".

Film je s tom kampanjom stigao i u hrvatska kina, gdje je privukao više od 55 tisuća gledatelja. Nije čudno da je Angel Studio odlučio ponoviti dobitnu formulu i da se pri kraju odjavne špice dokumentarca "Poslije smrti" ukaže "posebna poruka", odnosno da koredatelj Gray poziva na uplatu ulaznica za one koji ih sebi ne mogu priuštiti, kako je to prethodno radio glumac Jim Caviezel, što je postala reklamna zvijezda vodilja i ovog filma.

Iako na koncu u Americi nije postao kinohit kao "Sound Of Freedom", niti je dosegnuo brojke dokumentarca Michaela Moorea (11-ak milijuna dolara zarade), "After Death" izaziva pažnju hrvatske publike, ali to nije iznenađujuće. Temeljen na stvarnim iskustvima bliskih susreta sa smrću, ukoričenim u bestselerima, film istražuje zagrobni život.

"Koga ne bi zainteresiralo pitanje što se događa poslije smrti? Svima nam je to važno", kaže jedan od "talking heads" sugovornika, a to su znanstveni i medicinski stručnjaci, poput isprva skeptičnog kardiologa Michaela Saboma koji smatra da "znanost nikad neće dati odgovor na pitanje što je ljudska duša i nastavlja li živjeti nakon smrti", ali vjeruje ljudima s "near death experience" pričama, baš kao i redatelji Gray i Radtke.

Dokumentarac starta obećavajuće i povremeno umije biti dirljiv. Slušamo priču pilota manjeg aviona koji je doživio nesreću i "odjednom se našao iznad mjesta pada", vidjevši poginule kolege i sebe. "Nisam osjećao bol i neugodu", govori on i otkriva da je kao duh "lovio hitnu" u kojoj se nalazilo njegovo tijelo.

Pojačana osjetila

Jedan sugovornik opisuje ovaj svijet kao dvodimenzionalni crno-bijeli, a zagrobni život kao trodimenzionalni i pun boja. To je redateljima povod da povremeno razbiju repetitivnu "talking heads" rutinu i kopiraju sinematičnu transcendentalnu svemirsku vizualnost Malickova "Drva života" i Nolanova "Oppenheimera" te nadodaju kadrove svjetlom obasjanih očnih jabučica a la "Blade Runner" i skupe dronovske letove preko planina.

Priče o izvantjelesnim iskustvima s "pojačanim osjetilima" i osjećajem da "ne mogu biti mrtvi" jer su "življi nego ikad" ispočetka se razvijaju intrigantno i nenametljivo, suptilno. Imamo Dona Pipera (doživio strašnu prometnu nesreću), Mary Neal (zamalo umrla tijekom kajakinga), sugovornike koji su bili agonostici i ateisti, a to iskustvo "otvorilo im je oči i um" da zaključe kako je život "vječan", a smrt "samo vrata kroz koja prolazimo", a ne "kraj" i "veliko ništavilo".

Jedan sugovornik opisuje ovaj svijet kao dvodimenzionalni crno-bijeli, a zagrobni život kao trodimenzionalni i pun boja. To je redateljima povod da povremeno razbiju ‘talking heads‘ rutinu i kopiraju transcendentalnu svemirsku vizualnost ‘Drva života‘.

Većina je vidjela "svjetlost ljubavi i života, svjetlost sjajniju od sunčane", osim nekoliko njih; npr. ovisnik samoubojica doživio je mračne vizije na rubu pakla, odakle ga je izbavilo okretanje vjeri u odsudnom trenutku. S vremenom dokumentarac postaje sve manje suptilan i sve više očito pamfletski i jednostran u propagiranju vjere, odnosno postojanja Boga i raja, ciljano snimljen za religioznu publiku.

"Ništa se ne može usporediti s rajem, to je najstvarnije. To je moja stvarnost, ovo nije. Ondje će uvijek biti bolje nego ovdje", ističe Piper kao da usput reklamira svoju knjigu "90 Minutes In Heaven", koja je 2015. ekranizirana u film s Haydenom Christensenom u glavnoj ulozi.

"Zatražite besplatne ulaznice za film ili uplatite za drugoga tko ih sebi ne može priuštiti". Dokumentarac "Poslije smrti" ("After Death"), redatelja Stephena Graya i Chrisa Radtkea, slijedi uspješnu kampanju ljetošnjeg kinohita "Zvuk slobode" Alejandra Gomeza Monteverdea. Oba filma nastala su u produkciji nezavisne kompanije Angel Studio, koja je postigla izniman uspjeh distribuirajući niskobudžetni "Sound Of Freedom" (koštao je 14,5 milijuna dolara) s pionirskom "pay it forward" kampanjom.

Reklamna kampanja

Nošen krilaticom "Božja djeca nisu na prodaju" i poduprt velikom potporom kršćanskih udruga, "Zvuk slobode" tako je skrenuo dodatnu pozornost na sebe i zaradio 184 milijuna dolara u američkim kinima, više od nekih zvučnih, desetak puta skupljih blockbustera poput nastavaka "Indiane Jonesa", "Nemoguće misije" i "Brzih i žestokih".

Film je s tom kampanjom stigao i u hrvatska kina, gdje je privukao više od 55 tisuća gledatelja. Nije čudno da je Angel Studio odlučio ponoviti dobitnu formulu i da se pri kraju odjavne špice dokumentarca "Poslije smrti" ukaže "posebna poruka", odnosno da koredatelj Gray poziva na uplatu ulaznica za one koji ih sebi ne mogu priuštiti, kako je to prethodno radio glumac Jim Caviezel, što je postala reklamna zvijezda vodilja i ovog filma.

Iako na koncu u Americi nije postao kinohit kao "Sound Of Freedom", niti je dosegnuo brojke dokumentarca Michaela Moorea (11-ak milijuna dolara zarade), "After Death" izaziva pažnju hrvatske publike, ali to nije iznenađujuće. Temeljen na stvarnim iskustvima bliskih susreta sa smrću, ukoričenim u bestselerima, film istražuje zagrobni život.

"Koga ne bi zainteresiralo pitanje što se događa poslije smrti? Svima nam je to važno", kaže jedan od "talking heads" sugovornika, a to su znanstveni i medicinski stručnjaci, poput isprva skeptičnog kardiologa Michaela Saboma koji smatra da "znanost nikad neće dati odgovor na pitanje što je ljudska duša i nastavlja li živjeti nakon smrti", ali vjeruje ljudima s "near death experience" pričama, baš kao i redatelji Gray i Radtke.

Dokumentarac starta obećavajuće i povremeno umije biti dirljiv. Slušamo priču pilota manjeg aviona koji je doživio nesreću i "odjednom se našao iznad mjesta pada", vidjevši poginule kolege i sebe. "Nisam osjećao bol i neugodu", govori on i otkriva da je kao duh "lovio hitnu" u kojoj se nalazilo njegovo tijelo.

Pojačana osjetila

Jedan sugovornik opisuje ovaj svijet kao dvodimenzionalni crno-bijeli, a zagrobni život kao trodimenzionalni i pun boja. To je redateljima povod da povremeno razbiju repetitivnu "talking heads" rutinu i kopiraju sinematičnu transcendentalnu svemirsku vizualnost Malickova "Drva života" i Nolanova "Oppenheimera" te nadodaju kadrove svjetlom obasjanih očnih jabučica a la "Blade Runner" i skupe dronovske letove preko planina.

Priče o izvantjelesnim iskustvima s "pojačanim osjetilima" i osjećajem da "ne mogu biti mrtvi" jer su "življi nego ikad" ispočetka se razvijaju intrigantno i nenametljivo, suptilno. Imamo Dona Pipera (doživio strašnu prometnu nesreću), Mary Neal (zamalo umrla tijekom kajakinga), sugovornike koji su bili agonostici i ateisti, a to iskustvo "otvorilo im je oči i um" da zaključe kako je život "vječan", a smrt "samo vrata kroz koja prolazimo", a ne "kraj" i "veliko ništavilo".

Većina je vidjela "svjetlost ljubavi i života, svjetlost sjajniju od sunčane", osim nekoliko njih; npr. ovisnik samoubojica doživio je mračne vizije na rubu pakla, odakle ga je izbavilo okretanje vjeri u odsudnom trenutku. S vremenom dokumentarac postaje sve manje suptilan i sve više očito pamfletski i jednostran u propagiranju vjere, odnosno postojanja Boga i raja, ciljano snimljen za religioznu publiku.

"Ništa se ne može usporediti s rajem, to je najstvarnije. To je moja stvarnost, ovo nije. Ondje će uvijek biti bolje nego ovdje", ističe Piper kao da usput reklamira svoju knjigu "90 Minutes In Heaven", koja je 2015. ekranizirana u film s Haydenom Christensenom u glavnoj ulozi.
