Iako se, kad god je prigoda, Hrvati ponose bogatom poviješću i baštinom, po nekim se stvarima čini - da nam je na pojedinim mjestima jednostavno previše povijesti! I da ne znamo što bismo s njome. A kamoli da bismo materijalne ostatke nekih davnih vremena doveli u stanje očuvanosti koje bi omogućilo i razvijanje modernih prezentacijskih formi što bi onda vrlo vjerojatno zainteresiralo i veći broj posjetitelja, što domaćih, što turista.
Evo, recimo, u Solinu! Pisali smo u više navrata o devastacijama arheoloških ostataka antičke Salone, pri čemu je dodatni problem, čak i kad bi bilo novca da se postavi makar video nadzor koji bi odvratio vandale, što je zapravo riječ o više lokaliteta, na više mjesta.

Nedaleko od ostataka Salone, Šuplja crkva ima drugi problem. Susjedstvo Jadra. Zbog kojega je nakon svakih većih kiša - dobrim dijelom pod vodom. Zimi i mjesecima.
I dok o Saloni brinu educirani profesionalci iz Arheološkog muzeja u Splitu, Šuplja crkva je pod paskom Muzeja hrvatskih arheoloških spomenika, također iz Splita.

Iako su svojedobno uz ostatke krunidbene bazilike kralja Dmitra Zvonimira postavljene i klupe, stručnjaci iz muzeja su - prošli su već mjeseci otad! - odlučili zatvoriti prilaz zainteresiranim znatiželjnicima i turistima, odnosno stavili su lokalitet pod katanac. I tako mjesecima nitko ne može unutra, iako nikakvih, pa ni sanacijskih, a kamoli konzervatorskih radova nema pa nema... Turisti mogu samo do zaključanih vrata i ploče na kojoj piše da je na tom mjestu u 6. stoljeću sagrađena ranokršćanska crkva križnoga oblika, te da je u 11. stoljeću izgrađena ranoromanička crkva. Zapisi iz 12. stoljeća odaju da je uz crkvu podignut i benediktinski samostan sv. Mojsija.
A kako bi bilo da nebrigu o važnim arheološkim lokalitetima oglasimo kao posebnu turističku ponudu?! Tko zna, možda bi nekoga baš to privuklo... Do tada, ili do neke ozbiljnije sanacije, Šuplju crkvu će izbliza razgledavati tek patke, žabe i bjelouške. Riba ipak još nema.

Iako se, kad god je prigoda, Hrvati ponose bogatom poviješću i baštinom, po nekim se stvarima čini - da nam je na pojedinim mjestima jednostavno previše povijesti! I da ne znamo što bismo s njome. A kamoli da bismo materijalne ostatke nekih davnih vremena doveli u stanje očuvanosti koje bi omogućilo i razvijanje modernih prezentacijskih formi što bi onda vrlo vjerojatno zainteresiralo i veći broj posjetitelja, što domaćih, što turista.
Evo, recimo, u Solinu! Pisali smo u više navrata o devastacijama arheoloških ostataka antičke Salone, pri čemu je dodatni problem, čak i kad bi bilo novca da se postavi makar video nadzor koji bi odvratio vandale, što je zapravo riječ o više lokaliteta, na više mjesta.

Nedaleko od ostataka Salone, Šuplja crkva ima drugi problem. Susjedstvo Jadra. Zbog kojega je nakon svakih većih kiša - dobrim dijelom pod vodom. Zimi i mjesecima.
I dok o Saloni brinu educirani profesionalci iz Arheološkog muzeja u Splitu, Šuplja crkva je pod paskom Muzeja hrvatskih arheoloških spomenika, također iz Splita.

Iako su svojedobno uz ostatke krunidbene bazilike kralja Dmitra Zvonimira postavljene i klupe, stručnjaci iz muzeja su - prošli su već mjeseci otad! - odlučili zatvoriti prilaz zainteresiranim znatiželjnicima i turistima, odnosno stavili su lokalitet pod katanac. I tako mjesecima nitko ne može unutra, iako nikakvih, pa ni sanacijskih, a kamoli konzervatorskih radova nema pa nema... Turisti mogu samo do zaključanih vrata i ploče na kojoj piše da je na tom mjestu u 6. stoljeću sagrađena ranokršćanska crkva križnoga oblika, te da je u 11. stoljeću izgrađena ranoromanička crkva. Zapisi iz 12. stoljeća odaju da je uz crkvu podignut i benediktinski samostan sv. Mojsija.
A kako bi bilo da nebrigu o važnim arheološkim lokalitetima oglasimo kao posebnu turističku ponudu?! Tko zna, možda bi nekoga baš to privuklo... Do tada, ili do neke ozbiljnije sanacije, Šuplju crkvu će izbliza razgledavati tek patke, žabe i bjelouške. Riba ipak još nema.
