Na današnji dan prije 72 godine u Moluntu, obalnom mjestu u Konavlima, pao je meteorit težak 1,9 kilograma.

- Doletio je iz pravca sjeverozapada, raspao nam se iznad glava. Glavna gromada pala je gore u maslinik, a krhotine petstotinjak metara niže u more. Čula se zaglušujuća grmljavina, mislili smo da padaju granate – živo se prije nekoliko godina prisjećao umirovljeni ribar Tomislav Tonko Cvjetković kobnog 20. veljače 1951., koji je svjedočio padu meteorita koji su astronomi kasnije prozvali “Dubrovnik”.

Moluntski meteorit jedan je od svega pet “padalica” koje su u povijesti Lijepe naše imale očevice, što im daje na vjerodostojnosti. Uz tada 19-godišnjeg ribara Tonka, nalaznici meteorita koji se danas čuva u Prirodoslovnom muzeju u Zagrebu bili su njegov brat Niko Cvjetković i rođak, danas pokojni Đuro Antunović.

Meteoriti sa svjedocima pada upisuju se u svjetski registar koji priznaje međunarodna udruga The Meteoritical society. Na tom popisu nalazi se samo pet meteorita koji su ikada pali na područje današnje Hrvatske.

Prvi je zabilježen u večernjim satima 26. svibnja 1751. godine, kad je vatrena kugla osvijetlila zagorske brege. Oko 39 kila teški dijelovi meteorita nazvanog "Agramit", puni željeza i nikla, zabili su se tri lakta u tlo kod naselja Hraščine. Slijedi nalaz pet kilograma teškog meteorita “Milena” koji je 1842. pao kod Varaždina, te crnog spaljenog kamena, težine 1,7 kila, meteorita "Slavetić" koji je 1868. "sletio" blizu Jastrebarskog.

Četvrti u nizu je "Dubrovnik" iz 1951. godine, a peti meteorit je "Križevci" koji se srušio 2011., navodi istarski astronom Korado Korlević. Meteorita je sigurno višestruko više, spominje se čak da je 1908. još jedan pao upravo u Moluntu, ali očevidaca nije bilo, a time ni dokaza.

Upravo zbog lovaca na meteorite, one koji ih traže samo kako bi ih prodali, često se ne objavljuje točna lokacija pada sve dok se meteorit ne zbrine. Zanimljivo je da je nebesko tijelo palo kod Križevaca točno istog dana kad i ono u Konavlima, samo 60 godina poslije.

Na današnji dan prije 72 godine u Moluntu, obalnom mjestu u Konavlima, pao je meteorit težak 1,9 kilograma.

- Doletio je iz pravca sjeverozapada, raspao nam se iznad glava. Glavna gromada pala je gore u maslinik, a krhotine petstotinjak metara niže u more. Čula se zaglušujuća grmljavina, mislili smo da padaju granate – živo se prije nekoliko godina prisjećao umirovljeni ribar Tomislav Tonko Cvjetković kobnog 20. veljače 1951., koji je svjedočio padu meteorita koji su astronomi kasnije prozvali “Dubrovnik”.

Moluntski meteorit jedan je od svega pet “padalica” koje su u povijesti Lijepe naše imale očevice, što im daje na vjerodostojnosti. Uz tada 19-godišnjeg ribara Tonka, nalaznici meteorita koji se danas čuva u Prirodoslovnom muzeju u Zagrebu bili su njegov brat Niko Cvjetković i rođak, danas pokojni Đuro Antunović.

Meteoriti sa svjedocima pada upisuju se u svjetski registar koji priznaje međunarodna udruga The Meteoritical society. Na tom popisu nalazi se samo pet meteorita koji su ikada pali na područje današnje Hrvatske.

Prvi je zabilježen u večernjim satima 26. svibnja 1751. godine, kad je vatrena kugla osvijetlila zagorske brege. Oko 39 kila teški dijelovi meteorita nazvanog "Agramit", puni željeza i nikla, zabili su se tri lakta u tlo kod naselja Hraščine. Slijedi nalaz pet kilograma teškog meteorita “Milena” koji je 1842. pao kod Varaždina, te crnog spaljenog kamena, težine 1,7 kila, meteorita "Slavetić" koji je 1868. "sletio" blizu Jastrebarskog.

Četvrti u nizu je "Dubrovnik" iz 1951. godine, a peti meteorit je "Križevci" koji se srušio 2011., navodi istarski astronom Korado Korlević. Meteorita je sigurno višestruko više, spominje se čak da je 1908. još jedan pao upravo u Moluntu, ali očevidaca nije bilo, a time ni dokaza.

Upravo zbog lovaca na meteorite, one koji ih traže samo kako bi ih prodali, često se ne objavljuje točna lokacija pada sve dok se meteorit ne zbrine. Zanimljivo je da je nebesko tijelo palo kod Križevaca točno istog dana kad i ono u Konavlima, samo 60 godina poslije.

Na današnji dan prije 72 godine u Moluntu, obalnom mjestu u Konavlima, pao je meteorit težak 1,9 kilograma.

- Doletio je iz pravca sjeverozapada, raspao nam se iznad glava. Glavna gromada pala je gore u maslinik, a krhotine petstotinjak metara niže u more. Čula se zaglušujuća grmljavina, mislili smo da padaju granate – živo se prije nekoliko godina prisjećao umirovljeni ribar Tomislav Tonko Cvjetković kobnog 20. veljače 1951., koji je svjedočio padu meteorita koji su astronomi kasnije prozvali “Dubrovnik”.

Moluntski meteorit jedan je od svega pet “padalica” koje su u povijesti Lijepe naše imale očevice, što im daje na vjerodostojnosti. Uz tada 19-godišnjeg ribara Tonka, nalaznici meteorita koji se danas čuva u Prirodoslovnom muzeju u Zagrebu bili su njegov brat ...
